Can I join you lovely ladies!

DP and I got a big huge positive at 12dpo on Thursday and a 'pregnant 2-3weeks' on a clear blue digital this morning!

We weren't even going to try this cycle as we're moving house in a fortnight and wanted to wait till after that!

Been a roller coaster week as DP also proposed to me on my birthday on Monday!

I think our due date will be around the 22nd October, seems such a long way off though.

Took DP in boots today to get folic acid and vitamin d and then dragged him down the baby aisles, thought he'd groan, but he was just amazed at all the stuff we're going to need!

Here's to a fabulous 8 and a bit months everyone!

Toast85 · 14/02/2015 16:31

Congrats lalalemon! What's bit month feb is for you!

Bat do you mind if I ask why you had an early scan?

Twinkletoes007 · 14/02/2015 16:32

Congratulations lala. What a fabulous week. I think my due date is around 22 October 2015 too.

Fizzy13 · 14/02/2015 16:55

Congratulations lala on all counts! I wont even let myself look in the baby aisle yet. Dh is very keen to get to 12 wk scan before we even start looking at what we need.
I have a feeling ebay is going to be my friend!

Kym134 · 14/02/2015 17:00

annabegins was the doctor implying that 25 was too young? I have no hope then as 23.
Must say though booked an appointment with my GP and the receptionist was absolutely lovely. We joint the go surgery because of the great reviews it has so hopefully it will be ok.

LooksLikeImStuckHere · 14/02/2015 17:20

Alien I'm envious of the 3.5 year old's nap! Mine won't go anywhere near his bed in the daytime... Apart from to put all the cuddly toys on. And off. And on again. You get the idea!

Holiday club sounds ideal, my nephew went in one around the same age and loved it.

Hopefully the nausea will have started to fade a bit by then too. Did you have it with your first? Mine didn't go until 15 weeks last time. Has already started at 4 +5 or whatever I am now Envy (sick green, not envy!).

alien11 · 14/02/2015 17:34

lookslike
Oh she doesn't nap at all at home! But sometimes I can tell her she needs a rest to stay up later and she ll oblige :-) means we can go out for dinner later and enjoy the nighttime which she loves.

AnnaBegins · 14/02/2015 17:46

Kym it certainly felt like that! But we've been married 2.5 years, trying 7 months, so feels perfect for us! So glad your gp seems lovely.

AnnaBegins · 14/02/2015 17:47

We're going to need a new thread soon ladies!

bluewisteria · 14/02/2015 18:58

Hello ladies, I just got my BFP. It's faint but I'm only due Monday, and it was mid afternoon pee.

I have 2DD's, who have just turned 5 & 3. We have had 8 mc's up to this point, all in the first eight weeks, so I am gingerly edging my way in...

townsender · 14/02/2015 19:34

Waves to lala and blue.
blue you are a brave woman. All my fingers crossed for you this time. Will they give you an early scan?

I'm trying not to look/think about baby stuff yet. Its so tempting though. I think it'll just make the time drag even more though. Feeling totally knackered and lacking in energy today, thinking its going to get a lot worse before it gets better though Sad

raggymay · 14/02/2015 19:53

Hi Lala and blue. I think we must be due at a similar time. I'm 13dpo and the lines are starting to get darker now which is comforting. No symptoms though apart from an aversion to tea but I'm sure the exhaustion will kick in soon. How's is everyone else feeling?

Oh and if anyone has any experience with 20 month age gaps I'd be appreciate the advice. I have a 14 yo, 11 yo and a 1 yo so I'm not used to small gaps like this.

MrsEvansAlmost · 14/02/2015 22:21

MrsEvansAlmost · 14/02/2015 23:12

thank you sleepy! I'm amazed im still awake have to do it all over again tomorrow too!

bluewisteria · 15/02/2015 08:42

Thanks town - here's to hoping it's sticky! I've just been reading from the beginning of this thread, taken an age, but what a lovely group!

lalla and raggy do you know your due dates?

For the stats, I'm 35, have 2DD's who are 3 & 5 and live on the Devon/Dorset/Somerset boarders, having left London fairly recently. So glad I'm not pregnant in Central London! The fumes made my morning sickness a million times worse in the last two pregnancies.

Both pregnancies were fairly uneventful until the end when I developed pre-eclampsia so I'm assuming that will happen again. Labour was very quick too, 7 hrs first contraction to birth, then 3 hours for our second... But I didn't fare very well postpartum with PE, chest infections etc etc, so assuming this baby is sticky, I think that's what I'm most worried about the 37 weeks till 3 months post partum stage.

bluewisteria · 15/02/2015 08:43
  • borders not boarders!
bluewisteria · 15/02/2015 08:45

Oh Happy Birthday MrsEvans, hope you can put your feet up and be pampered today!

townsender · 15/02/2015 09:22

Happy birthday for yesterday MrsE. A 14 hour working day sounds insane at any time, let alone when you're pg, poor you!

lalalemon · 15/02/2015 10:16

Morning blue!

Due date is going to be round about the 22nd I think, seems an absolute eternity away at the moment, but I'm sure it'll be here before we know it!

This is our first baby so all very new and exciting!

MrsEvansAlmost · 15/02/2015 13:25

thank you towns

so yesterday (prematurely I know) we announced on fb we are having a baby as we have lits if relatives that live far and wide I hate it when people do it and became the biggest hippocrite of all time! the response was really positive.... except for my eldest sister who has literally not had a good word to say since I told her I was pg!

so called best friend who I haven't spoken to since April last year was so concerned she couldn't write on the post congratulations and threw a strop when I asked why she couldn't say it directly to me instead of having to publish it to everyone?!

I guess these situations show you who its worth being around or talking to in this case you lovely ladies!!!! Thanks Thanks

bluewisteria · 15/02/2015 13:48

mrs I'm sorry they didn't give you a positive response - are they having trouble having children themselves?

lalla oh we are pretty close in due date then, I think I'm the 27th.

MrsEvansAlmost · 15/02/2015 14:09

blue no both have 2 each and no one said a bad word when told! I get that im their baby sister and they want the best for me but I said to them really happy to say that we are expecting and just got a big moan that I'd told everyone so early! they think they have the upper hand because they were married first and think I should of terminated! after 2 MCs that they both know about they should know it wouldn't even be a suggestible idea!! Angry Angry silly people

never mind I can be excite on here and at home with dp!Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

bluewisteria · 15/02/2015 14:27

Oh I'm sorry, I'm sure everyone on here will give you what you need.
