Anna your doctor sounds rubbish - hoping the midwife is more helpful in 2 weeks. It's half term -yey! Any other teachers? I am nervous about telling work... They had a terrible time whilst I was on Maternity leave - 3 maternity cover teachers in 8 months!

Ca55andraMortmain · 13/02/2015 19:37

I'm a teacher falling! So glad its half term, all I want to do is sleep for the whole week! Can't wait! I had to tell work this week because I keep having to run out of meetings and assemblies to vom- very hard to hide! I was worried as I'm the 4th pregnancy since august and I knew HT would be gutted, but she was lovely and very congratulatory (is that a word?!) even though I knew she was internally thinking about how they're going to cover 4 lots of maternity leaves at the same time.

MrsEvansAlmost · 13/02/2015 20:01

Angus we are did buddies!! Grin glad everything went well. how's moving day been?

raggymay · 13/02/2015 20:24

Hi, I'm here way too early but I feel a bit left behind already as everyone is miles ahead of me. 12dpo and probably about 12 positives in various brands so far. (I may have a problem.) EDD is 26th October and this will be #4. I have just told my DP by giving him a positive test as a Valentine's gift. Right, I probably need to take a back seat for a few weeks before I get too ahead of myself.

LooksLikeImStuckHere · 13/02/2015 20:46

Welcome Raggy! My edd is 19th Oct so you aren't that far behind me, I just tested stupidly early! Smile

crazypuglady · 13/02/2015 20:52

Hi raggy FF puts my EDD at 20th Oct so not far ahead of you. Numerous tests is not a problem, it's normal. It just has to be done.

townsender · 13/02/2015 21:21

Welcome Raggy!

Angus and MrsE I'm also due on 1st Oct!

We've not told anyone yet, and I've got some work travel when I'm 10-11 weeks pg, then my scan as soon as I'm back, so plan is to tell our parents after that, and then everyone else as and when we feel ready. Don't want parents to be worrying while I'm away.

Twinkletoes007 · 13/02/2015 22:10

Thanks so much. I feel a lot better today - rang GP who was v helpful. I couldn't see her today so will go to the walk in clinic tomorrow to get some antibiotics. Reckon I've drunk more water today than I did in the whole of last year!

sleepy - hello neighbour! God I hope we don't already know each other?!!

Anyway enough about me. How is everyone and what weekend plans do you have? Xx

townsender · 13/02/2015 22:44

Glad you feel better Twinkle

Relaxing weekend planned here. I don't really do valentines day. Just seing a friend for lunch Sat and parents for sunday lunch. I need sleep!!

night all

raggymay · 14/02/2015 05:30

Thanks for the welcome. Smile Good to see its not just me tagging along at the back here. The test is much darker today at 13 dpo which is a relief. Can't wait till I can stop peeing on things tbh.
Hope you all have a good Valentines and weekend.

DontWorryBaby · 14/02/2015 08:19

Morning ladies, can I join? DC3 due late October. Still can't quite believe it, had been using those cheapy online tests daily since last week and barely glanced at yesterday's then did a double take when I saw the second line!

Going by dates I'll be due 22nd October but previous two pregnancies have been put back four days at the first scan so maybe 26th Oct. Both DC1 & DC2 were born on their due dates too, so this one has a lot to live up to! Wink

Is there a stats list?

alien11 · 14/02/2015 08:20

welcome raggy

twinkle we don't do valentines day so normal saturday for us. DH basically does all his own stuff and plays football while I try and entertain dd... My nieces are over from Hampshire so we re going to leeds castle for their fairytale theme half term trail thingy. That will kill some time.
Tomorrow we re all off as a family to see my cousins family and hopefully get a game of bowling in if not too busy.

I am so so tired.stayed up to watch my tv progs from my planner last night and so regretting it now! Woke up @5 needing some water as has dry mouth. I don't drink anywhere near enough water so really need to sort it out.
It's 0819 and I have a looooonnggg day to try and amuse dd who has a concentration span of a goldfish!

alien11 · 14/02/2015 08:23

Oh before I forget - what are you all doing re bras? I evidently need new ones but can't afford to keep buying new ones for the next 9 months! Seen the genie ones are supposed to be good but they don't go down to my size

Fallinggracefully · 14/02/2015 09:17

Alien I just ended up in a stretchy sports bra last pregnancy but my boobs didn't get very big ( until the dreaded milk coming in, look like Dolly Parton day). The only symptom I had in first few weeks though was sore boobs last time and I don't have that at all yet... Maybe it's because they got so stretched bf DD!

Fallinggracefully · 14/02/2015 09:18

Oh, and Hi DontWorry. Wow, 2 due date babies! That must be pretty small odds.

MrsD14 · 14/02/2015 09:42

alien I'm going bra shopping today. Gone up a whole cup size already and they're spilling out of every bra I own. Look HUGE Shock. DH is chuffed Hmm but I feel ridiculous and they ache. Might go for something stretchy but they're now an f cup so some sort of support is badly needed!

Still, out for a lovely valentines dinner this evening, hope you ladies all have a lovely relaxing day too.

alien11 · 14/02/2015 10:11

No relaxing day for me! Have washing, ironing, dishwasher, tumble drier, hoovering, cleaning duties that all desperately need doing.

Have had a bad headache since yday evening.dh had taken dd out for the grand total of about 30 mins. I have jumped into bed to try & get some sleep.

crazypuglady · 14/02/2015 10:24

No relaxing here either. I'm off to work a bit later after doing the housework.

Got a huge bunch of flowers off DH though. We usually only do under a fiver gifts for Valentines so I think they might actually be for the baby!

alien11 · 14/02/2015 11:07

Aww that's sweet crazy Smile
I buy my own flowers lol

Coolchic12 · 14/02/2015 11:14

Hi ladies, I'm still in bed??. My back was aching so badly last night I struggled to fall asleep. Not much planne apart from s late lunch with my partner, we don't really do valentines either. My breasts aren't that bug so still alright with C cups, just slightly sore and overly sensitive nipples.

I'm glad you are alright twinkle! You must be so relieved!

Welcome Raggy and Dontworrybaby??

LooksLikeImStuckHere · 14/02/2015 11:31

Not much chance of relaxing with a three year old but Saturday is my lie in day so I feel more relaxed than I normally do by this time!

Can't stand Valentines day so DH gets off easy Smile

Welcome Dontworry! There is a stats list somewhere but I haven't got round to adding myself on it yet... Maybe page 4 of this thread?

Toast85 · 14/02/2015 11:49

Hi, thought I'd say hello. Can I join?

Name: Toast
Age: 29
DCs: just the one I'm currently growing
Due: 12th October, making me 5wks +5 days

Current symptoms- occasional cramps/twinges, a bit of nausea, decreased appetite, immense thirst/dry mouth, starting to get tired a lot, the odd dizzy spell, and boobs just starting to get sore. Oh and sleeping really badly... I think that's mainly due to worry Hmm

Happy valentines day Smile

alien11 · 14/02/2015 12:38

Halookslike I'm in the same boat with 3.5 yr old!
Unfortunately I never get lay ins so very jealous of yours. Nausea has hit big time and I have to get through a day at a castle with 3 girls under 6 yet.... When's bedtime?!?!
Worried about how I'm going to cope on the holiday too. I'm thinking skiing for couple of hrs only in the morning and then pick dd up from kids club & persuade her to have an afternoon nap.....

Coolchic12 · 14/02/2015 13:08

Welcome toast, I'm also 5+5 so we share the EDD??. Alien I don't envy you, sounds like a very active day, buts good to be out and about in fresh air though. Skiing holiday sounds fab, fingers crossed nausea doesnt affect it too much, hopefully you'd have found ways to make it better then. With mine I find it not too bad if I throw up first thing in the morning, usually when brushing teeth (tmi sorry) then eat small portions of food and fruit thought the day.

batfish · 14/02/2015 15:48

Aww alien hope you're ok on hol, I was skiing on 1st feb for a week but luckily no nausea and was no more tired than anyone else.

Still no symptoms other than the sore boobs! And my god are they sore. I slept in a sports bra last night which helped but then when I took it off this morning the pain was awful, really hope they settle down!

Feeling a lot more relaxed than I was, I think because of seeing the heartbeat at the scan. I know we are still in the danger zone but it definitely eased my mind and I'm only 13 days away from 8 weeks where this is apparently only a 2% chance of anything happening.

Not planning to tell work for a few weeks - would love to push it to 16 but depends on bump development I guess. I'm a bit gutted as am currently at my peak fatness - you know that stage you get to where all your clothes are tight and the hardcore diet starts? Yeah that - only the hardcore diet can't start can it. Guess that will be me in maternity jeans from 8 weeks Shock
