Sorry for lots of messages......it didn't seem to work!!!

Jiow1 · 11/02/2015 09:52

Please can I join in?
I am 5+5 due with my first.
Am so nervous about miscarriage and desperate for this to stick.
Not many symptoms yet, except a lot of tiredness. Would actually quite like a bit of nausea as some reassurance!

gingerbreadmam · 11/02/2015 09:53

hi jo this is my first too and had an mmc november / december last year so feel like im in the same boat as u altho i guess i was lucky enough to fall again so soon.

hope u r ok, it is a worrying time. i spoke to my gp yesterday who assured me we are at no higher risk of mc than anybody else which eased my mind a bit. i think its also refreshing that symptoms are a bit different almost as if this time is going to be different which i exactly what we want.

congratulations and hope u r ok!

3cupsoftea · 11/02/2015 10:08

Hello just checking in 6+1 with dc2.
Feeling a bit crampy and "wet" but remember these feelings -and the panic!- well with DC1. Hoping it's just uterus expanding!
Looking forward to nattering with you all xx

MrsPotatohead1 · 11/02/2015 10:08

Hi, well after getting my BFP on a Tesco test yesterday morning, this morning I did a Clearblue digi and got 2-3 weeks. The wait was agonising, the little egg timer thing seems to take an age doesn't it?
So my question is, what is my next step?
I've got constant cramps, almost like a dull ache behind my belly button! A little nausea too when I'm hungry.
When I ring my GP, do I ask to see a doctor or do I have to tell the (nosy) receptionist that I need to see a midwife?
Sorry, I'm so inexperienced!

alien11 · 11/02/2015 10:24

mrspotato call your gp and tell the receptionist as each doctors has it's own protocol. At mine I had to have an appt with doc then booked my booking in appt after that. 2 weeks until my booking in appt.

Feels odd seeing people saying they ve just got their bfp and 6 weeks as I got mine on 23rd jan so ages ago and am 6 weeks

MrsPotatohead1 · 11/02/2015 10:32

Thank you! We are going to tell my parents tomorrow (eeek!), then I'll ring the GP on Friday. What are your symptoms alien?

gingerbreadmam · 11/02/2015 10:48

oh gosh id feeling moist a symptom? i dont remember it last time and always wore panty liners but due to mmc and panicking everytime i go to loo i have ditched the panty liner but feel like i need one. sorry tmi i just wondered?

JoPug12 · 11/02/2015 10:54

Hi ginger, I had so many people telling me that they mc the first time and all went on to have healthy pregnancies..... It helps a little bit I'm still worrying!

I agree, it's nice that things are feeling different this time.......but I didn't think I was pregnant as really didn't 'feel' it like the last time.

We've decided to keep it quiet for as long as possible this time....even from my mum which is really hard!! I may give in and tell her soon....just wont tell dh!! Wink

alien11 · 11/02/2015 11:03

mrspotatohead er none! I don't have any at all hence the early scan as didn't believe it ! With dd I started feeling icky around 9 weeks but that was it. I'm really tired but that could be down to general laziness and I'm not sleeping well.

crazypuglady · 11/02/2015 11:05

Hi all new BFP ladies Smile

Strange to see people coming in further along than me.

MrsEvansAlmost · 11/02/2015 11:47

3cups I've got the same thing with the 'wet' feeling! knicker checking all the time as I'm sure its blood but never is!

I had a mc at 6+ weeks 4 years ago and another in august about 4 weeks only just thought period was late and mc happened.

successfully passed mc date!! hurrah!
setting up pram as we speak (2nd hand and wanted to play before I pay/ very kind lady agreed to it?!) is it OK to out the dog in it and go for a walk? will I look a bit odd?/Grin Grin Grin

gingerbreadmam · 11/02/2015 11:47

i feel different this time, it sounds silly but last time i never really pictured me with a big bump or a baby or really worried about what we needed.

this time all that is there i kp saying to dp i know well be ok. im even pregnant in all my dreams ha!

i told my mam and dad, best friend as shed been through the same and today i have told a close work colleague as she was such a great support through my mmc. i need someone to get excited with me too. think it hit my parents hard last time so theyre not really accepting it this time which i can understand but i need positiveness so telling colleague gives me that a bit.

sounds like u r keeping positive too it can only help.

minijoeyjojo · 11/02/2015 12:41

Hello ladies, can I join too?

I got my bfp a few weeks ago and I'm 6+3 weeks with my first child. Doesn't seem real at all! I've not really got many symptoms aside from my sore boobs and occasional nausea (although its mild so feels more like I'm just really hungry). Oh and I'm tired, out of breath and have cried more in the last two weeks than I have in the last year! Ok, so I have symptoms, I guess I just feel way more normal than I thought I would!

It's lovely to hear how everyone else is getting on and nice to be able to talk about it! I am trying very hard to not order an early scan - my husband wouldn't be impressed and there is no reason for me to get one other than impatience Smile

I'd love to join the facebook group too - how do I do that?

JoPug12 · 11/02/2015 12:51

That's nice that you have a work colleague to share it with ginger......I won't be telling mine for as long as possible!

They were nice during my mmc...sent flowers, gave me time off etc....but they weren't the most supportive before. When I told my boss and gave my due date he said 'oh they just guess that!' when I told him I was going home as I'd spent my lunch break being sick he said 'only happens in the morning doesn't it' as if I was lying! Shock

My female colleague is anti kids and thinks pregnant people shouldn't get any time off!!

This time I'm just ignoring them and not letting it get to me.....

AngusAndElspethsThistleWhistle · 11/02/2015 13:05

If anyone would like to join the fb group, just pm me with your fb url or email address Smile

gingerbreadmam · 11/02/2015 13:19

oh no they sound a fun bunch! think you do right.

mine peed me off through mmc and when I returned so wont be telling them for ages. My colleague is based elsewhere an will keep it to herself.

Fizzy13 · 11/02/2015 13:41

Part of me wants to tell the people in my office. It would explain why I'm staring into space so much but I think I'm going to wait until after my scan just in case. One colleague is pregnant and I'm dying to ask her all sorts of questions!
jojo -Sounds like you're doing well symptom wise, I'm so tired that if I wasn't pregnant I'd be at home ill!

alien11 · 11/02/2015 13:47

sarkymare · 11/02/2015 15:32

Is any one else really bloated? My stomach looks huge. I least four months.

Fizzy13 · 11/02/2015 16:10

I was last weekend (~6weeks) could barely do my jeans up!

catlady87 · 11/02/2015 17:03

Sarkymare I've been so so bloated. Like having to undo my jeans after every meal. I'm 5+4 today and it seems to be easing off a tiny bit. Not much though.
