Little about myself :) I have a dd who is 3.5 and is currently having a. Jerky late nap ( bedtime will be a nightmare!)
Currently 6 weeks pregnant edd originally was 24th sept but an early scan changed it to 6th October. So my dd will be 4 on 28th sept Smile so they will have very close birthdays! It's taken us 7 months to conceive no.2 and it took the same with our dd. I am hoping from the scan yday at 5+6 I get to 12 wk scan all ok. I have booking appt with mw when I will be 8 weeks but was originally booked with edd so 10 weeks. But not going to change it as waited long neigh for it anyway. Oh and I'm a sahm. We re off I a. Family skiing holiday in a few weeks which I can't wait for! Ironically we went skiing when I was same weeks pregnant with dd! How odd?!
I'm feeling fine, boobs bit bigger. Am extremely tired but otherwise am ok. Last time I just suffered with feeling sicky not actually being sick.
Scared about the birth (if all progresses well) as dd arrived after 3.5 hrs so thankful a mw led unit is 10 mins away where we now live.
Re buggy talk- I borrowed my sister bugaboo and didn't get on with it so will be testing lots on hey he market to ensure that I get a decent one as I do lots of dog walking and am tall which can be a nightmare with buggies.

Anyone else due 6th?

alien11 · 10/02/2015 16:45

*cheeky

Haha jerky!

Cineraria · 10/02/2015 17:31

Wow, nice to see so many new people today! Congratulations to all of you and good luck!

I'll try to add those of you who haven't already added yourselves to the Stats Sheet this evening. Do add anything/anyone I've missed though.

spudnik1 · 10/02/2015 17:43

Hello everyone,

Can't remember if i joined in or if i joined the 12 week wait one. I will be 7 weeks tomorrow due around 1st Oct and this is our 1st.

Tomorrow i have my first midwife appointment, and from talking to other people i assumed it would be my booking in appointment but now i'm not too sure I've checked online to double check my appointment time and i have been allocated 5 mins with the midwife does this sound right? although they have also allocated 30 mins with the nurse to have the flu jab which seems excessive. Getting a bit nervous about tomorrow now either it'll be a complete let down or they will say there's been a mix up and i need to go back.

Anyone else had their first midwife appointment?

sleepyMe12 · 10/02/2015 17:48

Hi spudnik1 it won't be the booking appointment they usually last about an hour?

On another note am I the only one with no symptoms? Confused

DeepTurquoise · 10/02/2015 17:51

Hello everyone! Can I join please? I'm 28 and roughly 5 weeks with number 2 Smile due October 14th, and already feeling exhausted, headachey and a little bit nauseous! Congrats to all

MrsEvansAlmost · 10/02/2015 17:56

spudnick were edd buddies!! also due around the first and this is baby #1 ( mmc at 6+6) last pregnancy so today has been an anxious day!!

batfish · 10/02/2015 18:05

Wow alien you saw a heartbeat that early? Must have been amazing! I'm not getting my hopes up that I might get a heartbeat but nice to think there might be even a teeny tiny something to see.

Told my sister, she cried!

sleepy I have very sore boobs but other than that no symptoms. I have had some on and off abdo pains but if I didn't know I was pregnant I wouldn't have known they were anything to do with it so not sure they count! I don't seem to be especially tired, don't feel sick, things don't taste or smell funny, not thirsty.....gimme some symptoms!!

HettyB · 10/02/2015 18:23

sleepy I'm another one with no symptoms. I've got slightly sore boobs but nothing else. Though when I mentioned it to my dr today she said that usually symptoms like morning sickness don't hit until about 6 or 7 weeks and I'm 5+4 at the moment.

Is it wrong that I'm sort of hoping for a little throw up? I know I'll live to regret saying that but I'd like some sort of confirmation that I'm not imagining the whole thing!

Is anyone else in mega-planning mode, even though it's super early days? I'm such a control freak, I need to do things like plan the cost of all the stuff we'll need, research nct classes etc even though at this stage the baby might not even stick!

sleepyMe12 · 10/02/2015 18:26

I'm glad I'm not the only one then. I'm currently 5+2 so quite early still xx

batfish · 10/02/2015 18:42

hetty yup I would also like a little vomit haha! Just the one though, don't want any of this all day nausea lark. I keep reading that nausea is a good sign so I want it! Although I am only 5+3 so also pretty early to be getting it but lots on here seem to be in full throes of pregnancy symptoms!

But no I am more in denial than in planning mode - I feel like I'm jinxing things even by chatting on here so even me and my hubby are hardly even talking about it! It's making me a bit sad as thought I would feel like it was a really special time but I'm just so worried of something going wrong that I can't talk about it much yet - at least not in real life!

LakeOfDreams · 10/02/2015 18:46

Haha Batfish I'm just the same everytine I accidentally mention it to someone I feel that I've jinxed the whole thing a bit more. DH hates talking about it in case it all goes wrong again!! Although he did tell me yesterday that he wants to find out the sex at the 20w scan

spudnik1 · 10/02/2015 18:50

Hello Mrs Evans!

whoo eed buddy. I read somewhere that when you get to 7 weeks chance of miscarriage falls to 5% i take that to mean 95% are absolutely fine, always be positive thats what i keep telling myself.

sleepyme12 that's what i thought but one of the girls at work her booking in was 10 mins of a job although this was a good few years ago, will just have to wait and see. As for symptoms sore boobs and really tired is about it.

as for planning anything although i am still being positive i am very carefully trying to keep my mind blank about baby stuff until the 12 week scan then no doubt i'll go planning mental!

AnnaG85 · 10/02/2015 19:06

Spudnik we are edd buddies too. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow also. My first appt with mw is 27th Feb. Will be 9 weeks 2 days. Can't wait for things to start happening! Baby number 1 also

gingerbreadmam · 10/02/2015 19:09

cineria can i be added to stats please if u dont mind?

lives: north east
age: 30
children: 0 but recent mmc
names: girls - binky and amber although dp vetoed both
boys - rocky

think thats all i have to add. thank you in advance Thanks

Cineraria · 10/02/2015 19:58

No problem, Gingerbread. Off to update now. Amber is nice name. I taught a couple of students called Amber and both were really lovely girls. Would your DP consider one of your choices as a middle name?

I'm planning too, Hetty! At first, I was determined not to after last time but can't help looking into what we'll need to do. I have so many lists that I'm adding every hint and tip I'm reading to as well. Anyway, I thought about it and decided that even if the pregnancy wasn't successful, I'd rather have spent the time I'm pregnant enjoying it and making the most of it than pretending it's not happening to avoid getting too attached.

crazypuglady · 10/02/2015 20:14

Agree with that Cine I keep wondering if I'm naive but I'm going with positivity and making plans Smile

HettyB · 10/02/2015 20:26

That's what I figure, if something bad is going to happen, it'll happen regardless of how much time I have or haven't spent browsing the Mothercare website.

I'm still petrified that something will go wrong, but I'm enjoying each day as it comes. Today, at least, I am pregnant Smile

Coolchic12 · 10/02/2015 20:40

Hi ladies

It's so hard to be expecting after a mc. I'm so paranoid and anxious I'm not enjoying being pregnant at all. The only think ive done so far is referral to hospital. GP was not helpful at all, just ask me to see him in 4 weeks, I think he thinks im imagining it, silly old man??.

I can't wait to have a scan in 2 weeks! I'm hoping I'll start believing I'm pregnant when I see everything is in right place and growing.

ibeka · 10/02/2015 20:43

batfish, I completely hear you on the worrying too much to enjoy it front... I can't let myself think about planning or anything - i'm even scared to read too much of the literature my doc gave me in case I'm jinxing things!!

hetty, I'm sorry to hear your booking is so late - I'm glad I chose west mid over K&C now! I did a little look at early scans in W London and the cheapest I could find was £99 Sad

My symptoms seem to be diminishing, which doesn't help the worry, but the lines on tests are getting stronger. I have 30 internet cheapies squirrelled away (I bulk bought for about £5 as I thought it may be months of trying!!) so have been doing loads of them Blush. I have sore boobs and indigestion and feel a bit sick in the mornings but then I have had gastro problems for years and often feel sick if tired so not sure I can count these!

Coolchic12 · 10/02/2015 20:54

I'm also testing weekly or twice??. I need to for reassurance until I go for a scan.
Is anyone staying on this trend? I don't have a FB account and don't think I'm going to create one, boring I know but I have reasons.

alien11 · 10/02/2015 20:57

Yup batfish certainly did see a hb! Basically it was a little blob with a heartbeat :-) ill add the photo from my iPad in a mo so u can see!
Well dd is still up ha.naps=late bedtime! I've sent her downstairs to annoy dh while I lay in bed chilling.

Coolchic12 · 10/02/2015 20:58

The Fetal Medical Centre charges £100 for an early scan. I know from previous experience their scans are very detailed, very good Drs and their equipment is too notch!
