Thanks for adding me to the stats doc. You may have seen this link www.yourduedate.com/ already but if not I really recommend it - it gives you a due date full of extra info

Here is the active link www.yourduedate.com/

ibeka · 08/02/2015 16:41

batfish, we seem to be symptom twins... I feel very similar with with dull aches in the abdomen...

twinkletoes I feel fine! main symptom is psychological - I feel really anxious about anything going wrong! Otherwise just sore boils and a bit tender in my abdomen although that may just be the IBS

Just been to nephew's 2nd birthday where my SIL spotted I was pretending to drink the fizz and then pointed out to me which cheeses were pasteurised...oops!

Thanks for all he caffeine comments - feel reassured now that the odd cup won't hurt. I've always disliked tea so that's not a problem for me...

alexmash12 · 08/02/2015 17:05

Mumwannabe I feel your pain. Just suffered a week long stinker of a cold which I tarted with honey and lemon. Steaming my head over a bowl of boiling water and eating lots of chilli and ginger. I'm not going to lie to you, it was a struggle but I'm out the other side of it now! Good luck x

ibeka · 08/02/2015 17:05

Apologies for the double post... Just to clarify, it's sore boobs I have. I don't have any boils... Bloody autocorrect!!

batfish · 08/02/2015 17:26

Glad it's not just me ibeka - hate this worrying over every twinge but if I'm not the only one then hopefully it's normal!

crazypuglady · 08/02/2015 17:33

I've got the twinges too batfish and ibeka I'm not sure why but I find them reassuring rather than unsettling. Almost like the baby is letting me know it's there and settling in nicely. The baby. Wow. That feels weird.

whoknew28 · 08/02/2015 17:57

Hi all, hope everyone's doing okay? Thanks for the replies earlier re an early scan, seems like 8 weeks is the ideal time, but the only time my DH and I can go together will be either 7+3 or 9+5... (He has a mental job and we're going away during week 8). What do you reckon? Don't want to go too early to see a heartbeat and end up more worried... But obviously want to go sooner rather than later...

Also wondering what a bounty pack is? Didn't receive one when I was pregnant before?! Hmm... Think maternity services are a bit crap where I live Hmm

Kym134 · 08/02/2015 18:25

I also don't know what a bounty pack is. Need to phone the midwives on Monday to try and get everything sorted.

townsender · 08/02/2015 18:25

ibeka love your SIL and the cheeses, hahah.
In the run-up to this Christmas, my poor mother asked me if she needed to buy pasteurised cheese. I could hear the disappointment in her voice when I told her that stinky unpasteurised cheese was fine.

who I would think at 7+3 you'll see a heartbeat. Depends how sure you are of your dates as well. I'm going for a scan on Wednesday, when I'll be somewhere between 6+4 and 7+4, so I can give better feedback after that!
Bounty pack isn't that exciting, mostly full of advertising if I remember, but I don't have one either at the moment! Just need a pot to pee in as my booking apt letter told me to bring a urine sample.

whoknew28 · 08/02/2015 19:21

Thanks Town - really hope weds goes well, crossing fingers for you. Pretty certain of my dates, so might risk it with the 7+3, but will wait to hear more from you. Excited for you!

Ah - not surprised re the Bounty pack! Was hoping it'd be more focused on it's chocolatey namesake Wink

Frenchfancies · 08/02/2015 19:22

Hi to all the new BFPs and many many congratulations! Grin

Cineraria, that must have been so frightening for you both, I'm so glad all is well Xx

Just watched what to expect when you're expecting...so funny and I cried (of course).....would recommend it if you haven't seen it!

This next 5 weeks is going to seriously drag, to think I've only actually only known 2.5wks...feels like a LIFETIME! Just want to know all is ok and that it really is happening. I just feel like in permanent state of pre-period mode of massive bloatedness and grumpy. These women with flat stomachs up to 16wks, how??? Just how??!

Twinkletoes007 · 08/02/2015 19:34

My abdomen has felt full and bloated for 7 days straight now. Can't stop farting either! eeeew.

Octobermummy2be · 08/02/2015 19:45

I'm getting some sensations on my right side, hoping it's baby getting comfy. I'm so anxious after our early loss in December, really hoping this is a sticky one x

crazypuglady · 08/02/2015 19:47

twinkle I got the trumps too Blush

I don't fart in front of other people, don't know why just never have. I have to keep making excuses to go upstairs.

iusedtobecool · 08/02/2015 20:32

Sorry to come back to this thread so late. Due to previous ectopic, I had an early scan. The sac is in the right place, but because it was so early, there was no heartbeat yet. I'm only 5 weeks, so not as far on as I thought.

Symptoms are sore boobs, and sickness. I didn't have this first time, so
finding it difficult. Either feeling sick, being sick, feeling very hungry or
bloated. Yuck! In mat jeans already too.

I'm not sure how to fill out the form btw. Will give it another go.

shieldbug · 08/02/2015 21:38

hi all. So glad to hear of lots of reassuring symptoms all round. I'm a bit worried that it's all in my imagination at the moment, because apart from a fat belly, I really don't feel pg, despite now being 7+4. This is in complete contrast to ds1 and ds2 who made me feel v pg very quickly. I can't wait for a booking appointment, but the NHS being in complete disarray in NI, I've probably been lost off the system again. (so far I think I've been "lost" on 4 different occasions and had to bully my way to appointments for pregnancy or gynae needs). I think I'm most worried because if this goes wrong, we probably won't try again due to my age, so this really is last chance saloon.
Well, sorry for such a "me" post, but I needed to get it off my "not even tender" chest.

thenailgirl · 08/02/2015 22:00

hi everyone got my bfp today and i should be due 19th october or thereabouts :) this will be my third i have two boys aged 6 and 8 years old. exciting times x

crazypuglady · 08/02/2015 22:09

Hi nailgirl Smile You're due around the same time as me. FF says 20/10 for me.

shield that must be difficult, the only things making me feel this is real is the swinging, achey boobs and stomach acid. Can't imagine how disconcerting it must be to have none of that. Have you tested again recently? Not sure I could resist in your shoes. BUT, the fat belly is good and I'm guessing from your post that nothing is actually happening that might be the pregnancy going wrong and it's getting closer by the day to seeing your baby on that screen. Try to stay positive Flowers

Cineraria · 08/02/2015 23:04

I love the your due date link, boxtrolls. Anything with more facts and figures is a winner with me! I particularly liked seeing that the pregnancy is 17% complete.

You might get a urine pot from a pharmacy, town. How silly of them not to tell you where to get it from.

It's the other end with me Twinkle and Crazypug. I keep making huge grandad burps all the time! Really embarrassing!

Hope you manage to get your appointments sorted out, Shield and perhaps that you get a few symptoms to reassure you too.

I've just been watching the pregnancy episode of The Human Body: an everyday miracle on YouTube. It looks a bit old fashioned now and probably isn't ideal for anyone worrying about whether things are going ok (probably all of us!) but it explains things so well and the images are amazing considering its age. I watched it just before we started trying and my perspective is really different this time. Might watch it again after the scan to see what I notice then.

crazypuglady · 08/02/2015 23:11

Oh no cine I got the burps too Blush

Sadly they've turned into acidy ones this evening Sad

How am I going to keep this a secret when I burp every few minutes? My mom will know something's up within minutes of seeing me.

thenailgirl · 08/02/2015 23:15

I am wondering the same how I'm going to keep it a secret because I work in a salon there are lots of smells going on and lots of nights out. I will just need to have to always drive in the mornings after lol

Cineraria · 08/02/2015 23:31

Puglady, you need some Gaviscon, the double one. The EPU told me it's fine to use and it even says it's for pregnancy on the packet. I got the tablets but there are also sachets of liquid too.

Make sure you get your manager to do your risk assessment for work, nailgirl to check that everything you use is safe. I used to work in a college that did hair and beauty courses and I think there might have been certain chemicals the staff and students in that department avoided or took special care with during pregnancy.

thenailgirl · 08/02/2015 23:57

I will need to do my own as I'm self employed nail technician. Il need to wear a mask for doing acrylic nails I think the fumes will be tooooo much ! Other than that though I can't think of anything il have a read up on it xx just hope they don't make me puke soon. I think that's what I'm scared of more than anything. With my first the nausea was horrid xx how are u all feeling so far??

MrsEvansAlmost · 09/02/2015 00:09

is anyone else staying to see 'a bump' I'm not very big and I know alit of it will be water retention I look pregnant already! dp has made comments about it already so it must look more bump like for him to notice!

I don't know if its all in my head though I'm only 6+3 so there a hardly anything that should be showing just yet!

MrsEvansAlmost · 09/02/2015 00:30

*starting sorry auto correct thinks I can't spell!
