Cute!
I do like Vertbaudet clothes - a word of warning, they do come up small in size most of the time...

daholster · 28/01/2015 08:54

Btw on the subject of maternity pads last time I used Tesco own brand on the recommendation of MN I think (or baby centre) - supermarket own brands are fine, but slim maternity pads are not nearly as good.

daholster · 28/01/2015 08:57

cinnamon sorry you feel horrid. Pregnacy can be so NOT delightful! And hugs for everyone feeling rubbish, it does suck!!!

FiRaffe · 28/01/2015 08:58

It's definitely a hide in bed day today, shame I had to come to work! Had lots of weird dreams last night and feel I need a weeks sleep to recover. This time it was about a baby, they usually are just random....

Don't know if there is one near you but TK Maxx might be worth a look for dressing gowns - sometimes they have some stuff going cheap.

PenguinPoser · 28/01/2015 08:59

I know what you mean daholster I'm a little behind with my extra hours work as well; wanted to get another 8 hours done before maternity to catch up - but have absolutely zero motivation to do so! Think I will chance leaving it and carry it over to after maternity.

Little clothes are so cute Grin

Must motivate self to leave house and get to work... Thankfully I have a teaching session this morning!

Ahhh the bottle bin blew over before the bin men emptied it. Just got soaked chasing the little beer bottles across the road! Have worned DH he is never allowed them again! Good job I'm home before I go to the mw or there would be glass all over the road as the bin men don't pick up anything not in the bin even if they are blown over!Confused

My custom baby mobile from America arrived this week, I've waited weeks for it to all be made and shipping. I can't wait to hang it, it's so long that I could only just get a good picture holding it but hopefully you get the idea.

We are waiting to buy the cotbed before we hang it but I'll be doing a blog post with much better pictures after then.

Lauren82000 · 28/01/2015 09:49

Sat in the waiting room for my wc jab before going down a floor to the mw.

The bin went over again and some of the bottles smashed that time. Picked up some of it but it's bloody difficult bending over! Just laid the bin down in the end.

Happy birthday to your DS Squatting!

Thanks Rusty. On the amoxycillin now so hopefully road to recovery.

Wine - yes I got a knee length thin one from m&s that I'll be using again this time. I knew I needed it to walk in hospital gown from ward to theatre for section - the hospital gowns have those openings at the back and obvs when you go to theatre you're not wearing any underwear.

Chicken - it was me on the jersey cream. I had a lactose intolerance as a baby that I have - apparently - grown out of. Not sure if we can draw any conclusions from this. My friend's new son was born with a milk allergy so not just lactose which is in cows milk but goat sheep etc too. Apparently he will probably grow out of it by age of 3. He has special prescription only formula.

Stuntnun and Hiding - I used always night time winged pads after DD born. Personally I never had problems with leaks/ capacity and i like the wings as they hold the pad in place so will be doing that again. I did have a section though so no need for anything to cushion my lady parts! I have read on here about them not necessarily being suitable but as I was fine last time I'm going with them again. Not sure I would if giving birth vaginally though, perhaps you have to be more careful about irritation or infection?

Hiding - the carefree brand is what I'm using ATM for discharge, they seem to be quite, erm, adhesive and work fine.

Daholster - I feel a bit panicked too. In all seriousness I think I could do with some therapy to help me deal more calmly with the trials and tribs of everyday life. I seem to fly off the handle or overreact to the smallest thing - I'm a bit of a control freak I think, not used to taking things in my stride Confused

Happy birthday Squatting's DS!

Siarie that mobile is so cute, where did you get it made?

Squidge14 · 28/01/2015 10:09

Morning!

Brixton that's great news about your move, fingers crossed you can get in and started soon!

Another one not sleeping well at all, I keep waking up on my back throughout the night even though I go to bed wedged in-between pillows Angry then it gives me a really stiff achy lower back and a dragging feeling across my belly, and I'm all cross with myself for being on my back again!

Siarie your mobile is absolutely beautiful! Where did you get it? I've been scouring pinterest trying to decide how I want the nursery, have a few ideas but it's difficult not knowing the sex I don't really want a fully neutral nursery when all our other stuff so far is neutral!

Hiding thank you for the voucher code, I may have to have a look at the website now!

EbwyIsUpTheDuff · 28/01/2015 10:10

Siarie, that mobile is adorable!

This lady makes them, she will match any colour you like.

AnniaFausta · 28/01/2015 10:17

I asked my mum if she would be happy being down as second birth partner yesterday... and she said that while she was terrified by the idea, she couldn't say no now I'd asked. I know other people feel differently, but I realised that in terms of keeping my stress levels down and keeping as calm as possible, it would make a huge difference for me to know that my mum was about. Plus it means she can relieve DH if he wants to go and have a breath of fresh air. (She then started to add aromatherapy oils to the shopping list, showing she's just as bad as my dad who's latest concern was getting an appropriate 'occasional' car seat for grandparent use, and sent us several links to approve.)

29w today!

kismac · 28/01/2015 10:17

Sitting in Morrison's cafe having a coffee before heading to midwife appointment and there is a guy making disgusting lip snacking noises whilst eating. I may need to punch him. Hormonal rage? Me? Never!

Lauren82000 · 28/01/2015 10:22

Least they are going to buy their own Annia. I have to buy them then get reimbursed! Mw is running very late was supposed to be in at 10!

ChickenMe · 28/01/2015 10:29

That mobile is beautiful Siarie.
I have nursery envy of anyone who has started decorating. We are at the stage of disagreeing about colours. We are neutral too Squidge and with a small room. I like a pale café au lait and OH likes a mild olive green.
smogs I had cows milk allergy which I also grew out of. Luckily cos I'm not keen on goat products. Also, along the same lines as you, I have realised with this pregnancy that I am extremely controlling and hate any outside interference and yes I can't take spontaneity!!!! Some of it must be hormones exaggerating a trait we already have.
Lauren I would've cried over those shambolic bottles. It hurts my belly to bend over and weirdly it hurts also inside the bum hole Blush lol sorry about that.

smogsville · 28/01/2015 10:48

Squidge that's exactly what's happening to me. I wedge myself right in but always end up lying on my back in the middle of the two bits of the pillow. Do we have the wrong technique do you think Shock?

Chicken - keep your chin up. I think the hormones make everything worse don't they.

BrixtonBunny · 28/01/2015 11:00

Ooh, I'm WFH today and the snuzpod just arrived! How exciting - must resist the urge to put it together.

BrixtonBunny · 28/01/2015 11:00

Squatting happy birthday to your DS x

ChickenMe · 28/01/2015 11:06

Oh the hormones smog lol I was a nightmare during PMT-don't know if that has any bearing? I kind of knew I'd be crazy and OH is suffering as I now have a split personality!! Lack of sleep can't help either. No wonder it's a torture technique.

Ps is it too hot in the hospital for a fleecy dressing gown? I saw a rabbit one reduced in DPerkins but our house is extremely warm so wasn't sure ...

smogsville · 28/01/2015 11:16

Chicken - yes it's defo too hot for anything fleecy I'm afraid. I got a cotton waffle one from m&s which is meant to be cool rather than snuggly.

I never use it or my proper dressing gown anymore, find it's more practical with kids to just pull an ancient jumper over pjs before stumbling downstairs in search of tea without having all that material flapping around. You could always wash it and leave in spare room afterwards for guests in manner of posh hotel?!

Actually I always make a point when in hotels to allocate myself some dressing gown time after bathroom but before getting dressed, so I must miss it.

smogsville · 28/01/2015 11:17

And yes chicken I have now accepted I'm a bit of a nutcase DH puts up with it v well most of the time but sometimes I can see he finds it wearing.

I might ask mum for a gift of some prenatal therapy in lieu of presents for this baby Shock

ChickenMe · 28/01/2015 11:26

Ah that's a shame smog I was trying to make an excuse to buy the rabbity one! But I hate being hot so no bunnies! Yeah I'm always wearing OH's hoodies anyway!
A bit of therapy will be healthy; sometimes feelings get overwhelming and aaaargh. and DHs don't always get it-they try to fix everything instead as in - "no just listen I don't want bloody solutions!!!"Grin
