Grin Anything goes, especially asking the wiser CRESH for their sage advice on the horrors and amazement to come when we get the the biggest WIN in history! Bring your baybees here! Grin

TheOriginalWinkly · 14/05/2015 12:16

Grin hooray for a BESH DoubleDiff!

I am semi back on the TTC wagon and mildly menkulling Confused MiniWink still hates sleeping, I must need my head examined. Still going by the last time she'll be at school when I give birth so she'll probably be sleeping by then (right?)

Ello Ags! 16 week midwife appointment done and dusted this morning - growth and heartbeat spot on SmileSmileSmile all my bloods came back and were good too so it looks like I won't need to be monitored by the silver star unit at my hospital after all - whoops - I've got a normal pregnancy despite my geriatric status and IVF credentials - yay!

So it turns out that everything is ok but there could be a problem so I have to have weekly fetal heart monitoring and a fetal cardiac echo. It seems to have total screwed with my GP's surgery, they don't seem to understand what to do with me - I don't understand why I can understand what the obstetrician had said and they can't!! Anyway, after having returned happily from my midwife appointment thinking all was well to find a letter from the obstetrician that I met in the special care unit of my hospital a couple of weeks ago. Turns out that my auto-immune bloods are still an issue and I have a tiny possibility of the baby having a heart problem so they want me to have weekly fetal heart monitoring from 17 weeks (that's tomorrow!) by my midwife or at the surgery. It's just a quick listen at the surgery with a Doppler to take a bpm weekly and note it in my blue notes so they can see if the heart beat is slowing down. If it is then they will treat with steroids. The earlier they catch it the better. It looks like the letter may not have arrived at the gp's surgery so thank god I got it and chased up about it otherwise my next obstetrician appointment isn't until 28 weeks so it may have been missed until it was too late. Hopefully it won't be a problem at all though and I'll just get to hear my baby once a week instead! That's if the gp can get his head around it!!

Fabuluce · 22/05/2015 19:44

Oh and I suspect that until I can get my crazy guts in order it eill be a while before I can feel fablet - I just have crazy wind moving my Tum around at the moment!!

MissHobart · 22/05/2015 23:56

Sorry for the added menkul fab, I'm sure everything will be ok, brilliant to have the extra monitoring, they will keep an eye on everything for you! Smile

Sorry I've not been around, miniH trashes up a lot of time!

Me! I'm still here! Are the newly PESHed lurking anywhere?

MissHobart · 09/06/2015 22:22

I'm lurking! Seem to have defaulted to t'other place to ask questions! Will try harder!

We have entered the first development week so back to more frequent feeding so I'm tired! But miniH has accepted the bottle so BR has started to do a feed here and there! Expressing is going quite well, going for once or twice a day 100/150 ml per session! Heading to breastfeeding group tomorrow to try and get some "non cushion aided" positions for when we're out and about!

Fab - How's it going?
