Fabuluce · 10/06/2015 22:42

Ahhh twas amazing all right. I've been feeling tiny movements for a couple of weeks which is super cool despite having an anterior placenta. Bump is progressing in a gentle way, at some point I may even feeling ready to post a pic Smile

Absolutely Miss - average is brilliant!

We're team yellow here - I love a surprise!

Fabuluce · 10/06/2015 22:43

New PESH are Fizz from IVF and Bad with an FUFC. I think they both must be around 9 or 10 weeks by now....

FizzyFeet · 11/06/2015 21:16

Hola PESH/ CRESH! It feels very weird to be posting here and I've held off for quite a long time!

I'm 8+1 so it still feels quite early, though had a scan last week and saw the heartbeat which was reassuring. Just one, despite having two frosties transferred only a tiny bit sad not to be having OMFGIVFTWINZ. The menkul has kicked back in now - I'm thinking of going for a private scan between now and the NHS one. Did any of you do the same, and would you recommend it?

fab so delighted that your 20 week scan was all good! More of the same, please!

Fabuluce · 11/06/2015 22:31

Yay, welcome Fizz! So pleased you got a little heartbeat Smile. They don't tell you about how everything is about getting to the next hurdle with IVF but it does get easier once you get past 12 weeks. I had scans at 10, 11 and 12 weeks (greedy) 10 and 12 were for the Harmony test and 11 was because I had a little bleed so was for reassurance. I can't remember when you had your embies put back in - did you have any chromosomal testing first? Do you know anything about nuchal testing yet? I had my first scan at 7 weeks and knew nothing about it but then decided as the scan had gone ok then I was ok to research baby stuff up to 12 weeks. Once I got past my 12 week scan I was ready to look at 2nd trimester stuff. Now I'm ready to start thinking about shopping and birth shiz. Eeep. I found it easier to think about it in those terms otherwise it just felt like too much. Plus in the early stages I felt I was very much living week to week. You're getting there lovely - a heartbeat at 8 weeks is great!!

I also felt sad we only had one embie survive. I had a little mourn for the lost one but it meant that we had one healthy one not battling for survival so all in all it was good but....but.....

badb · 12/06/2015 00:08

Hello, PESH. Like Fizz, I've been lurking for a bit, not quite ready to post. I'm the ironi-diff (same month as the HSG, one month off an IUI appointment). We also had our early scan this week - heartbeat and everything, measuring 8+6. I know what you mean about the menkul, fizz...google is the devil's work, also. I'm booked in for Harmony at 11 weeks, so only two and a bit to go till I get the next peep inside my womble. Bizarre.

Fab - congrats on the brillo 20 week scan. Sterling work, fablet.

Bugs definitely wins the scan competition!!!

Fabuluce · 12/06/2015 17:52

Whoops, sorry Bad I forgot to welcome you in!! So pleased you made it Smile. The Harmony is amazing - the sonographer did such a thorough job and made me feel much more comfortable when the time came for my 20 week scan. If they did the test just based on my age I had a 1:38 chance of the baby having chromosomal abnormalities, with the nuchal test it was 1:756 and with the harmony it was 1:10,000 so I felt much better after it.

How many times were you up in the night then Bugs? I think this baby is making sure I'm ready for the next few years by putting me through 9 months of intensive night training. I haven't slept through the night since I started IVF. Zzz

On the upside, I felt the baby wiggle on the outside last night! Unfortunately TWH was asleep so missed it and it hasn't happened again yet. Still, it's a start!

bugs you are right, this bit is soooooo slooooooowwww. I feel less diffed today. Frantic googling suggests that that is normal, though. Wish we could all have little screens into the womble area. Like teletubbies.

I have my booking in appointment on Friday, and a private scan the week after that. I'm undecided on having the harmony test - my risk is not that high (I had just turned 32 when the embies were created all those many moons ago) so might wait and see what the NHS tests reveal.

I had a very unglamorous fail today. Still taking the bloody progesterone pessaries, one of which leaked onto the back of my skirt! Awful! Like being the girl at school who got period blood on her skirt. Any recommendations for quality pant liners? Boots own are clearly not doing the job...

Fabuluce · 16/06/2015 18:44

Ooh fizz what a nightmare fail - I truly feel for you! The only way I stopped nightmare leakage was to lie down for 30 mins after insertion. If I got up any earlier than that it would ooze out! Nice Blush the trials and tribulations of IVF still continues for a while I'm afraid. And then just to fuck with you when you're at the blessed day when you can stop them you then feel too scared too as what happens if you stop.....enters into the psyche. Thankfully that's the point at which your body should be doing everything right at long blooming last.

My first two round of IVF I had fanjo bullets that were actually pills rather than bullets. The little fuckers wouldn't stay up for love or money. I was so grateful on the third time to get the proper bullets - at least they were in with a chance of staying put!!

FizzyFeet · 17/06/2015 21:29

Gah, the indignities of ivf! The morning and night ones are ok, it's just the lunchtime fucker I can't do anything about. Roll on 10 weeks!

I feel less pregnant than ever today and having a bit of a menkul that it's all gone wrong. Sad bad how are you doing, symptoms-wise? And fab are you in official noticeable bump stage?
