Ahhh how wonderful Bad SmileSmile

FizzyFeet · 17/08/2015 19:44

Hello hags, sorry I have been AWOL! Have been in holiday for a week with no internet or phone signal; not strictly by design but actually quite nice to get away from constant screen use. Not much to report from this end - still in the phase of feeling a bit fat and no sign of movement yet. Enjoying it a bit more now that everyone knows.

Fabuluce · 18/08/2015 09:13

I've got 11 weeks left. Erm, eek?? Really need to get on with buying the necessities etc as we still don't have a pram etc. Christ almighty.

YouCant · 18/08/2015 12:35

We bought everything in 3 days Fab. It was fun actually, like ye spending spree of a lifetime so 11 weeks is plenty :)

I've had a migraine this morning, one bad enough to make me vomit. Haven't had one that bad for a while. Luckily my head timed it well the little man's two hour nap. He then woke up, chilled on the bed with me for an hour and is now asleep again and it's just about lifted enough for me to feel human. Not human enough to go to baby massage though which I shouldve started today :(

TheOriginalWinkly · 18/08/2015 14:50

There's always next week can't. I've missed 6 of MiniWink's swimming lessons in a row for various reasons Hope the head is all better soon.

How's things with all the PESH?

badb · 18/08/2015 19:31

Welcome back, fizz! Hope the holiday was amazing. I'm off on my hols in less than two weeks. Yippee! Actually counting minutes at this stage. I think I'll have to bring work though, boo. Still, hopefully doing said work on a sunny terrace with a cold drink, looking out at the sea, will make it more bearable. We have our 20 week scan just before we go, which is nice.

I've been a food monster these last few days. Seriously, I cannot get enough food into me. What is going on? Also, not exactly a great time to be piling on the pounds, a few weeks before holidays!

youcan't, hope the migraine has lifted properly. I know that pain.

fab, 11 weeks! Gulp. Loads of time for buying stuff, but holy shit that flew in.

Waves to wink.

My friend just had her baby! IVF baby, after three years and one failed round. He's extremely cute.

Fabuluce · 20/08/2015 05:24

Hey Winks! How's it going?

Can't - hopefully the migraine has subsided - it's a bitch of a thing isn't it having those bad boys but well done to the wee man for chilling out with his Mummy Smile

Bad I am sooooo jealous of your hols! We went away for a week to Norfolk with the fam but I was really hoping to have a babymoon just the two of us somewhere hot and glorious but due to TWH's work commitments and contractual dates and our anti natal classes it isn't going to happen Sad. Now frantically trying to book a spa overnight et for his birthday next weekend but everything is bloody full as it's a BH. I'm cross with myself as I always organise everything in plenty of time but for some reason I've left this to the last minute and now everything is booked. Arse. I've bought a pram though - yay!!

I'm currently awake (-almost 3 hours again as some fucking arse pillock has the battery warning noise on their house alarm going weeeEEEEeeee every minute. AngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngry As if I don't already have a shitty nights sleep issuesI could really have done without it. Confused

TheOriginalWinkly · 20/08/2015 06:05

Find the Fuckers and beat them round the head with a battery pack fab, it's the only way they'll learn.

Fabuluce · 20/08/2015 08:21

Winks I love your style - a true Hag! I shall do it the instant I can force my weary body out of the house....

YouCant · 23/08/2015 10:52

Hags - yesterday I had.... a Brazilian wax. It was an experience but the poor girl earned her money as I'll be honest I hadn't paid any attention to down below since just before LO came along :/ It wasn't too painful and now it looks lovely. I can't say this in RL but anything goes around here so I'm letting you know instead Grin

We put little man in his cot this morning for a nap. He looks so tiny in it but he's starting to get pee'd off with the room he has in his basket. He only slept for 30 minutes but bless him he went to sleep, I was expecting a bit of fighting. Still felt sad though that he's grown so quickly. :(

I second kicking some ass too Fab, It'll be therapeutic.

Have a lovely holiday Bad, very jealous, especially as we have been watching the rain this morning.....

Can't I'm in admiration of anyone having a Brazilian or, even worse, a Hollywood. My fanjo finds waxing, whilst a necessity, painful to the point of feeling vomitous. I can grin and bear it to get a decent amount of neatening done and even to a reasonable Mohawk but as to getting fluff whipped off the I carriage flaps it's a no-go for me. Praise indeed!

Hags I'm now 30+4. I have a big bump and am now on countdown to having an actual babybee in my arms. As I type the little munchkin is wiggling in my tum. It's unreal and my gast is still flabbered on a daily basis that I've got this far. SmileSmileSmileSmile

YouCant · 26/08/2015 19:17

I won't lie, had I known quite what was involved I may not have attended the appointment. I really should check beforehand.....
I have been a bit overwhelmed today. Little man's been s bit off colour, I have PMT, the house is a shit tip and I didn't manage to actually even walk the dog. It's the first day I've felt emotional about it all. I've had plenty of days go to pot and usually I'm happy with an 'well that's parenting' approach but today I've just needed a good cry :/

Fabuluce · 27/08/2015 03:23

It's the PMT and PTSD from the waxing wot dunnit Can't. Your parenting skills sound just fine - tomorrow is another day (as Scarlett would say) and you've been doing brilliantly.

YouCant · 27/08/2015 06:09

Thanks Fab. Just had another sleepless night. Think he's struggling to get used to being in his cot. It's all snuffles and shuffles all night from midnight. I've given up and come downstairs so MATV can get an hr undisturbed before work and the little monkey is fast asleep on me in the living room :/

badb · 28/08/2015 13:52

Hey hags. Have finally reset my password after hacking fuckwittery. Hopefully that's that.

Sorry to hear things are difficult, youcan't - hope the small fella's feeling better, and hope that you are feeling better. As fab says, sounds like you are doing just fine.

Three days till hols. Three days! I have no attention span in work today (last day of work! Hurrah! Can't wait to put on that out of office...). I'm very excited, though I realised when getting my clothes together that I don't really have much to wear for holidays. I've been living in three pairs of maternity jeans, but dresses...not so much. I'm not a dress person at the best of times, unless it's winter dresses with tights, and most of those are too short to wear without. I may need to make an emergency dash into town to get clothes tomorrow. It galls me though, since I won't exactly get much wear out of them. Sigh.

So, scan went well, I think. All looking good. According to the consultant anyway - I'm really bad at asking specific questions in the appointments. I realised when I got home I should have asked for actual measurements and percentiles and whatnot, but I just nodded along with her reassurances that everything looked great. Hmm. The baby has been in the breech position for the last two scans though - she said she is not worried, most move, and was only mentioning it at this stage because she was in the same place two scans in a row. I guess Badblet just likes it down there. My bump is quite low - nothing above the belly button really, and the kicks I'm feeling (which I am! Exciting!) are all low down in the pelvic area. So I suppose that's because of the position. Hopefully she'll shift up soon.

How are you doing, fab? And fizz?

badb · 09/09/2015 08:58

God, it's so quiet here. Hags? You all ok?

Back from holidays. Sadface. It was lovely, but though I usually take the sun really well, this time I got awful heat rash which is still bloody itchy, three days post-return. Pregnancy, wha'?

Another scan next week. Work are being a bit difficult about appointments. My consultant only sits Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and I teach all day Tuesday, so that's out. I also convene a research group on Wednesday afternoons, but I'm going to need to either drop that or have someone cover it every four weeks. Nobody wants to step up, and my Head is being a bit catsbumface about finding cover. Thing is, they're going to need to cover it when I'm on mat leave anyway, and also I've been doing it for four years now and feel it's someone else's turn. She wants me to do my appointments on Wednesday morning, but that doesn't suit Mr Badb at all, plus, it's awkward to get back into work in the afternoon (major parking issues here if you aren't in by 8.30am).

Time is flying in - freaking out that it's September already! Where did the summer go? Scary.

Hello Hags

Bad, did you get work sorted? They have to give you time off, but it's no help if they're so grouchy about it. Bastards. I'm v pleased I'm not working as I think my office would have gone stir crazy with the amount of appointments I've had is insane.

Can't - have things settled down for you and your scrumptious little chap?

Bugs, how are you doing lovely? How's that gorgeous P doing?

Hello Dor - how are you? Not seen you in these parts for a while - thinking of having another???

How's Fizz doing does anyone know?

My EDD is 31st October so 6.5 weeks to go - eek! We have a pram, a car seat and a cot (last two are stored at SILs) and some clothes but not much else. Oh and some nipple pads - random purchase!! I'm currently sleeping in what will be the baby's room - we need to move the double bed into the garage before we can fit the cot and a single bed into the room. Can't do the move until the single bed arrives (3-4weeks hopefully) as I've had to sleep separately from TWH due to horrific snoring and sleep problems on my part. What a bore. I've loved being preggers on the whole but I miss proper sleep and sleeping with TWH.

Looking forward to meeting this little wriggler soon though ??. We do have a shit load of sorting to do before it arrives though and time seems to be tick tick ticking away. Yikes!

My MW is constantly on holiday and I can't get any time for an appointment (I'm supposed to see her every week!) and my GP who I've been seeing instead can't talk to me about birthing shiz so I've got an appointment with the consultant midwife this afternoon to talk through my options at the hospital. I'm quite excited!

Fabuluce · 15/09/2015 09:36

Ps I miss the app - using this on the phone is a total PITA.

FriendofDorothy · 17/09/2015 12:17

I would love a third but money and age put me off!

badb · 17/09/2015 17:33

Fab, wow - 6 weeks. Exciting! I've just started thinking about prams and car seats and stuff. It seems like a lot of hassle. I also have to buy a new car. I should probably get moving.

Re work - yes, it's a giant pita. It's weird, because my boss has two kids herself. Anyway, it'll be fine.

Haven't seen fizz about at all. Hopefully it's just the site attacks and lack of phone app.

FizzyFeet · 17/09/2015 21:36

'Ello! My ears have been burning! I haven't turned my back on you hags, but haven't logged in for ages due to site security worries and shiz. Are you all doing ok?

Nothing much to report here - all fairly uneventful really. Went to differs yoga tonight - fortunately not too much ommmmming. And I got chatting to someone else who was able to laugh about potential farting noises, which is always a good sign in a person.

Had a consultant appt earlier this week - have been referred due to ivf, previous surgery and low Papp-a. Joy! I've just started to drag my head out of the sand about the whole birth thing and had a massive old wobble at the doctor about it. She's referred me to a Mode of Birth clinic (where I think they basically try to persuade you to have a vaginal birth). If I still insist on a section and they don't agree on mental health grounds, they have to refer me to a different hospital! Argh.

Anyway, less of the me me me. How are you all doing?
