20th JSing GRADS thread - our chat's still filthy, just not in front of the baby...

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 20th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 37th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

*cos. but if anyone wants to research into cod steroids it could be interesting??

LaLa5 · 29/01/2015 07:21

I was wondering what cod steroids were!

So we have some poorly viroids and poorly wee ones. Not good :(

Zyla bingo sounds like a plan. What are the buzz phrases? I hope you get some answers today, sit tight. I've a friend who was hospitalised from 6 months pregnant due to her bp. Awful for her but she gave birth to very healthy wee boy at the end and all fine now.

Poor mini splodge and micro wil :( what can you do for reflux? Not something I know much about.

I was only up 3 times last night, compared to 7 the night before. Went to bed at 8:30 so that's good going!

splodge I get achey fanjo and really hurty pains in my joints if I over do exercise. I suffer the whole of the next day!

zyla that sounds scary! I hope you're okay!

wil I found that colief worked much better than infacol for DD so if infacol doesn't work that might be worth a go? I don't envy you colic is hell

ZylaB · 29/01/2015 08:02

I'm ok thanks lauren am just starting to become resigned to the idea I may be in here until she turns up! Achey fanjo does not sound good!

mountaingirl01 · 29/01/2015 08:04

Thinking of you today stoaty and zyla

ChatEnOeuf · 29/01/2015 09:02

Buzzword Bingo is an excellent idea we play it on NICU sometimes - get one of the juniors involved if you can and shoehorn some amusement into the ward round Wink

Will be sure to investigate cod steroids - I'll credit you if we're onto a breakthrough Grin

Hope the poorly ones are feeling better soon. Wil, if she's refluxy, have you tried propping her up after a feed and raising the head of her bed?

Pisghetti · 29/01/2015 09:16

Morning Viroids.

Buzzword Bingo is an excellent idea! Should keep you sane while you wait Smile

Hope your scan goes ok Stoat and you get to wave at a naughty bean.

I'm so tired I feel like I might die. I'm going to go back to sleeping for a bit when I get home from work as it doesn't make me any less wakeful during the night but tops me up a bit. Not tonight though as I'm off to see my mum to be fed.

Daisy birthing was pretty good. We spent a while introducing ourselves. I don't have a problem talking in public but I sometimes blush and I don't know why! I went beetroot red while introducing myself. I can feel it rising but can't do anything about it. Ah well.....

laurenamium · 29/01/2015 09:18

Oh good luck today stoaty!

Stoatystoat · 29/01/2015 09:44

Ah thanks for the excitement/well wishes but it's a week today...so still waiting! GAH! On the plus side, it seems to have eased off but I'm still worried. I'm having a snow day as well.

lildottie · 29/01/2015 09:50

just to let you all know I'm going to hospital for blood test at 11 as they want to check the pain I'm still in is normal. all being well I'll have an embryo transferred today!

Stoatystoat · 29/01/2015 09:54

Oh good luck dottie thinking fertile thoughts xxx

willywallace · 29/01/2015 10:12

Good luck Lil!

Sorry Stoat, that was my fault for confusing everyone.

I'll try propping bed up. When I did that with MiniWil, she always ended up kind of sliding down it. I hold her upright after feed but she's still writhing about and crying and then wants more food as comfort but which will only make it worse. Never tried colief last time Lauren so will give it a bash before going down the gaviscon route. Maybe I should come off dairy in case it's that.

lildottie · 29/01/2015 10:13

I as a total novice always thought breast fed babies were less likely to suffer with wind?

Fleurchamp · 29/01/2015 10:34

Yey lil today you could be pregnant Grin

So sorry to hear of your troubles zyla puts my rubbish morning at work into perspective!

ZylaB · 29/01/2015 10:39

Good luck lil!!!!

Been told I won't be back home before sat morning at the earliest, but this depends on all my results and I may not be allowed at all, we'll see. Am resigning myself to it now, will do whatever we need to get her cooked for as long as possible :)

do feel a bit perkier today though!!

willywallace · 29/01/2015 10:41

'They' say that Lil but in my limited experience it's not true. Although I think probably her latch isn't that great which doesn't help as she's probably swallowing air that way.

TheBooMonster · 29/01/2015 11:22

went to what I was expecting to be a routine midwife appointment this morning. Have a new midwife, am mourning for the loss of my now retired midwife who was going to try and get me a water birth, this midwife blanched at the idea of pushing for a pool in MLBU for me :/ Also crappy leukocytes are back in my urine sample so that's gone off for testing, midwife has suggested it could be my kidneys and that the reason DD stopped growing could be because my kidneys are crap (or words to that effect). I'm also measuring small (but I know is was bang on target last week) so it's just as well I'm already booked in for growth scans! She is however the first person to point out that the growth chart indicates I could have a gigantic baby, no one else had seemingly noticed been cruel enough to tell me ?#?havingagreatday?

stoat step away from Google!! Google is full of the 'Zebra' conditions that barely ever occur in normal life.

welcome town Now you get to watch with an ever increasing sense of terror as your name creeps up the due date list :P

zyla I drove the medical staff mental when they had me in with steroids, I was up and down and wandering round aimlessly most of the night both nights, and constantly complaining about the fact they were starving me, think the antenatal ward were glad to see the back of me, though they never mentioned that my 100 cups of coffee style wired might be because of the steroids! You need to add 'we're just going to hook you up for monitoring' 10 minutes before the food folk turn up to your bingo card, they did that to me every time!

oooooh lil You could be pregnant today how very exciting!!! happy dances for you

Pisghetti · 29/01/2015 11:28

Lil that's so exciting! Do you know if they'll be giving you one or two?

I think breastfed babies as a population are less likely to experience wind but if you have one that does then that's no help! Does gripe water still exist? #medievalmum

Ah sorry stoaty

Glad you feel a bit perkier Zyla hope you have plenty to keep you entertained!

laurenamium · 29/01/2015 12:01

Another week stoaty?! Shock

lil how exciting! Good luck!

I'm in a bad mood today for no apparent reason...I'll blame hormones Grin

ZylaB · 29/01/2015 12:36

boo snap! I was starving before lunch and they hooked me up! Ah well, next one at 6pm tonight, am hoping I'm so tired I'll sleep a bit tonight if I don't have to do blood tests hourly...

lil I am so excited for you!

LaLa5 · 29/01/2015 13:25

I'm such an idiot , I thought it would be ok to wear a non maternity skirt in size bigger. I'm now sitting at desk being cut in half as I've swelled after lunch!

Boo that's what I had yesterday - leukocytes in urine. Test results back tomorrow

Hope you're ok zyla

Hi everyone.

Zyla sorry to here you are still in, sounds rubbish. Hope you are managing to find some entertainment. hope you are feeling ok.

Had my booking app yesterday. There was a student midwife carrying it out overseen by main midwife, so whole thing took 2 hours. Joy. I know everyone has to start somewhere. Didn't click with the midwife at all, she was a right cats bum mouthed grot bag. The student was nice, shame she can't stay even if she is slow! Grot bag basically insinuated it was my own stupid fault I'd ended up with a 5 week UTI and apparently 'good hygiene' prevents UTIs in 'almost all cases'. Thanks for that.

Friday tomorrow all. Hurrah.

Lil v excited for you. Will keep everything crossed!

Stoat, another week! Sorry we we're all rooting for today. Hope the next week flies by for you.

I'm flipping hungry too. Have taken to having a bowl of cereal before bed as otherwise I'm waking up at 3am absolutely starved. Is this normal or am I just being a pig?

lildottie · 29/01/2015 13:37

two put back,none to freeze

TheBooMonster · 29/01/2015 13:40

la did they indicate what would happen if the results came back saying anything other than 'it's fine'? A quick Dr Google says it isn't much to worry about unless it really is the kidneys playing up, and I'm hoping the lack of blood is a good sign... but then I saw something about high leukocytes combined with vomiting and a headache being a sign of preeclampsia and was sick and headachy yesterday but didn't think to mention it to the midwife because she didn't ask. But I'm trying to smother the hypochondriac in me with papa johns giant cookies totally didn't order enough giant cookie to reach the delivery minimum honest, nothing to see here
