20th JSing GRADS thread - our chat's still filthy, just not in front of the baby...

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 20th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 37th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Oh zyla you poor thing. GX you get out this afternoon xx

Purplecircle · 28/01/2015 13:05

Bugger Zyla, hope you're ok.

My moods have been ok, a bit tearful at the nausea this morning. I need to man up...I'm not actually being sick, just feel like I will for the whole day. I know loads of people have it much worse and I should just be glad that I am pregnant!

My hair has stopped shedding which is weird as I have tons so I don't know how it's going to end up!

Purplecircle · 28/01/2015 13:07

Hugs stoaty, I can't think of anything helpful to say

Stoatystoat · 28/01/2015 13:15

Honestly just having you guys here is great. It's such a strange time, I've had to tell a few people in RL but in a not 'I'VE GOT NEWS' way, and my online friends have been a great source of support, both from here and Facebook and in real life, people are constantly checking in. If the strength from those around me has anything to do with it, this little one will be fine. DH says it creates a mess like it's mother...

lildottie · 28/01/2015 13:36

hi everyone

zyla that really sucks. just remember every day is a bonus now. they will do what is best for you and baby.

we have 7 embryos from the 11 eggs. 4 from ICSI and 3 from IVF.

next step is, oh yes, more waiting! They will call tomorrow morning to tell us how they are getting on. If there is a clear winner we could go in tomorrow. If not they let them grow more and keep assessing until a clear winner appears or we get to day 5 blastocyst stage - thats the latest they can be transferred. i'm guessing they will avoid that as it will be sunday!! lol

willywallace · 28/01/2015 14:06

What happens to the other ones Lil?

Hugs Stoat, only one more day to wait Thanks .

teejayem · 28/01/2015 14:21

anyone else imagining lils eggs on little wheels whizzing along a racetrack to a finish line?... no? Just me....

ChatEnOeuf · 28/01/2015 14:21

Wow Lil seven potential babies! Well done, hope the waiting isn't too frustrating.

Zyla that sucks, she's a good size now though and the NICU team there are great. Take the steroids and every day is a bonus...

Hope things go ok tomorrow Stoaty. I know how horrid it is, I spent most of the first 11w of this pregnancy convinced it was all going to fall out at some point! DH tells me they are stubborn as I am Hmm

TheBooMonster · 28/01/2015 14:49

zyla DD came at 36 weeks and she's perfectly fine if a bit diddy, so fx you can make it to 36 weeks! HAven't phoned ACAS was going to phone them this morning but the sickness reared it's ugly head (i assume to punish me for daring to go out last night) so I had an intimate morning with the toilet bowl :/ Shall try and give them a ring tomorrow morning as I expect by this time of day I'll be in a queue. I do have confirmation of my maternity leave, I just don't have my matb1 and SMP1 forms that I'll need to apply for Maternity Allowance.

LaLa5 · 28/01/2015 15:22

Hi all, sending zyla and stoat lots of hugs. I'm sad you're back in zyla but as everyone says 36 weeks is a good incubation so fx for safe delivery then. Hope you've got lots to read and dh is giving you hugs.

Stoat it really is miserable when you can't relax. Tomorrow you'll know and hopefully this is all going to be fine and you have an indestructabean like chat x

Lil can you imagine if they put 7 embryos in you!? Wow! I'm picturing little smiley embryos sitting in a Petri dish Grin

Waiting for urine test results but I'm expecting it to confirm uti. Im sore and needing to wee more often. Hoping they get results soon so I can get it sorted and make sure baby is ok

Hope you're ok La. Aargh just managed to get to sleep and some bugger phoned me. The cheek of it!

laurenamium · 28/01/2015 16:50

Oh la I hope they get you medicine soon!

For those that are due or have had DC, did anyone put some kind of a mattress protector on their bed? And if they did what was the best type? I'm thinking of waters breaking or bloody leaks afterwards ruining the mattress. Definitely tmi but I bled a lot after I had DD- probably should have gone back to hospital- and don't want to ruin my mattress if I can help it! I was thinking of those puppy toilet training pads under a sheet?

RPopz · 28/01/2015 17:35

I never got round to using them but was recommended puppy pads for the bed. You can buy maternity mats which are essentially the same thing but three times more expensive! Or a mattress protector, or just put a towel under the sheet. I had puppy pads on my hospital bed.

Great news Lil gingers crossed for your frembryos x

RPopz · 28/01/2015 17:36

Zyla my friend was induced at 35+6 for PE and her little boy is just perfect! Hopefully they can keep you going til 37 weeks though. You're in the best place Smile

lildottie · 28/01/2015 17:44

God no la the idea of 2 is scary enough! if we have 5 good embryos on transfer day they put 1 back, if less than 5 we can choose to have 2 put back.
Waiting isn't too bad but i guess i'm used to waiting freaking out at the idea of actually being pregnant so not wanting it to come too quickly

wil i think they will use the leftover eggs for training/research. I guess my abnormal one will be a good teaching tool and the others will allow a student to practice icsi techniques.

I am wondering how they are doing though. it is a bit strange!

ZylaB · 28/01/2015 18:37

la fx for good growth on them!! So exciting :)

Been told it's preeclampsia and we're now trying to keep me going as long as possible, suspect I'm here until she arrives! Am 34+5 today and just had first steroid injection, so am at least here for a couple of days having hourly blood tests cos the steroids fuck with insulin sigh.
Considering the fact I've thrown up and had black floaters in front of my eyes now as well as the high bp I can't see me making it to 36 weeks but I can hope! Want to make at least 35 which is fri! Will keep you updated better tomorrow when my iPad is here x

ZylaB · 28/01/2015 18:37

*la was meant to say lil... Sorry!

lildottie · 28/01/2015 18:43

oh zyla you're in the best place Thanks try and keep calm as much as you can

laurenamium · 28/01/2015 18:44

Thank you popz Ill have to get some. I used to use them under the children's car seats for when toilet training to protect my car but haven't needed to in a while so I think I'm all out!

zyla good luck! I have everything crossed for you!

LaLa5 · 28/01/2015 18:47

:( zyla I'm so sorry, I know it's not what you wanted. Hope it's a little bit of comfort that you're in the best place possible for you and her.

Keep us posted and rant away if you need to, I really hope the spots go and you feel less sicky and that she stays in there at least until the end of the week x

Lauren I have mattress protector on my spare bed to protect from cat wee don't ask!. They were about £10 for 2 on eBay. They are a bit rustle-y though so perhaps not great for good nights sleep.

Just went and had foof waxed. Baby brain sent me a day early but luckily they were nice and squeezed me in

DulcetMoans · 28/01/2015 19:08

Oh zyla, what a sod! Keeping everything crossed they can keep good care of you to get to 36 weeks but it's out of your hands now so just have to do what it takes to keep you both safe. We are all looking forward to meeting her though!

If there's less good ones, why do you out more in lil? That's seems back to front in my head!

You all sound like you have excellent reasons to cry actually viroids, and chat, that was quite a list!

Stoatystoat · 28/01/2015 19:15

It's a week tomorrow! We are coping with our new normal, indulging in Pinterest and holiday browsing to pass the time.

Has anyone ever bled from thrush? I am wondering if I have this going off. I honestly think I have implantation bleeding, thrush and piles. But maybe I'm just overanalysing it.

cookielove · 28/01/2015 19:15

zyla your further along then I got so that's good :) fx little one stays put for as long as possible! How was the steroid injection?

lildottie · 28/01/2015 19:33

stoat I think you need a hooya!

dulcet so you have 2 chances of getting a sticky bean in one go. obv means risk of twins if they both stick

couldhavebeenme · 28/01/2015 19:37

Hi all just delurking! Have been reading when I can - zyla hope you can keep that baby in for as long as possible, and stoaty hope scan goes ok (I had bleeding/brown spotting all through 1st trimester, so can sympathise).

Nothing much to report, v active baby, hospital appt this week for birth after thoughts and then MW next week for 28wk appt and anti-D.
