Lovely scan pics, Chook

I think I've gained about 6-7lb so far, which is not too bad. I gained about 2st last time. I lost too much weight when bf-ing though. I'm usually a perfect size 9 (Hmm) and around 8st - I went down to 7st7 at my lowest and looked skinny everywhere apart from my boobs! Not through any dieting I hasten to add, just a baby that fed all the time and who wouldn't sleep unless in constant motion...

PeppermintChaiLatte · 19/01/2015 17:34

I know I'm not on here much, more of a lurker sorry, but I would really appreciate a hug or slap. Feeling so emotional and hormonal today as I'm still waiting for a work issue relating to my pregnancy to be resolved and it just feels like no one is giving it attention. Just want to cry and eat Cake is there anything wrong with me just going straight to bed when I get home and letting dh sort his own dinner out? (He's been out all day too and will be back after me plus no food in the house today)

ots · 19/01/2015 17:47

Hi all. Haven't been around much as we moved on Saturday and haven't got internet connected yet. But wanted to pop in and update...

Its a girl Grin We're so so happy, and DS is excited to be having a "stister" haha. I'll post the photo on fb later :) hope the rest of you are well, I haven't had a chance to read back yet x

HexyQueen · 19/01/2015 17:49

Big hugs pep
Go to bed, get some rest, leave DH a note explaining u feel rough & need a break, sorry but he'll have to fend for himself tonight. Or maybe text him to ask if he'll bring a takeaway meal home with him? We all have tough days, conserve your energy & don't feel guilty x

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 19/01/2015 17:57

chook amazing pics, wow what a lovely clear pic of their face, cute little nose.

ots yay for a girl, we may catch the boys up

pep... Definitely no slap from me, big hug tho. Just drop him a quick text and ask if he can pick up a takeaway for you both on his way home. Have work given you any indication of how long it will take to resolve the issue.

Tranquilitybaby · 19/01/2015 18:12

Aww chookford what lovely pics. That little foot..., Smile

Ots- congrats on your little girl!

Pep - I hope things get sorted soon.

18 weeks today for me, still a little while to wait until our next scan.

jazzyjenbo · 19/01/2015 18:31

Pep - try not to let work drag you down but if i was you i would be getting on the H/R to sort out the issue you have... Failing that get a sick note from docs.. Mat pay shouldnt be affected if your signed off for 1-2 weeks. (Calculated on 12 weeks before mat leave starts so you shouldnt be at that point as yet)
Go run a bath, get sum chocolate and like the others hav said txt dh.

Ots - yay on your baby girl! R the girls on the come back this week Grin... Lets see if anymore are lurking in this weeks scan results.

Thank you everyone I really appreciate the hugs and good advice Flowers I threw a basic dinner together and have poured myself a nice bath with a lush bath bomb (my post pregnancy no alcohol destresser). Dh has had a bad day too and apparently I should be trying to cheer him up as he's been travelling around London all day and I haven't Hmm I did explain it wasn't a competition!

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 19/01/2015 20:50

peppemint it is a competition and unfortunately he loses, he may have had a bad day, but you ve had one and you are pregnant too, it always wins.

I ve just polished off two king pot noodles and a large mars bar, someone please say they ve had a weak foodie moment like this, I feel like a really piggy now.

Ots- congrats on the scan news.

Peppermint - Elizabeth is right. Pregnancy is the kicker card if you're ever in doubt. It takes it out of you in one way or another.

I'm out with work tomorrow and realised that my floaty tops don't fit anymore as they all have a non stretchy hem at the bottom. Even the longline ones look ridiculous. Gone for a blouse which mercifully doesn't stretch at the bust. I didn't contemplate "nice" tops when planning maternity outfits. Although, if that's all I've got to complain about today (other than my arse/bump issue) then it's a good day. Grin

Good luck scanees tomorrow.

Kyz · 19/01/2015 21:36

Hi all - just a quick check in, not really been around much recently as dp has had time off work and i've been really busy ,but he's back at work now so I have my evenings to come on here, woo! I know I should probably find something more productive to do but hey ho!

right, off to catch up! good luck to those with scans tomorrow x

bubalou · 19/01/2015 21:37

I ordered not one but 2 mc Donald's breakfast MEALs the other morning!

Ashamed! Blush

PregnantAndEngaged · 19/01/2015 21:52

Congrats chook and ots on your lovely scans :)

My consultant appointment wasn't too bad but they said they want to do some extra tests to (a) make sure my heart is definitely OK and (b) check that the baby's heart is OK as there is an increased risk the baby could have something. So I have been referred for an echo and a foetal echo in London (bit of a nightmare I have to travel to London for it though!). Also I have an extra appointment at 28 weeks at the local hospital for a final review.

As a random extra side thing I was asked to do a urine sample (guess they do this with all pregnant women regardless of what the appointment is for) and it came up that I had trace amounts of sugar in my urine. Anyone else had this? Bit nervous I could have diabetes or something, though the doctor says it's only likely to be an issue if it happens everytime and it hadn't happened until now.

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 19/01/2015 22:07

sunbathing bubalou I feel better now for my pig out. I figured that as long as I don't do it everyday it's ok, plus I do a fair bit of house sorting during the day so that works it off.

Other thing (maybe tmi) but is anyone else finding they are a lot more frisky these days, my OH is thinking his Christmases have all come at once.

PregnantAndEngaged · 19/01/2015 22:12

Elizabeth I am lol! Though not so much when my fiance is around, tends to be at inconvenient times!

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 19/01/2015 22:13

Haha... Elizabeth my pregnancy "bible" said at 18 weeks or something that the hormones would make me start to feel more frisky, so to speak. Dh read that bit with a glint in his eye... I told him where to get off!! Poor bloke... Hasn't worked for me yet, I must say!

Hi p&e - great news. I'm sure the sugar is nothing to worry about. Smile

Elizabeth - sometimes yes. Although not as much so far as with DS. I was the horniest pregnant woman ever with him! Blush

DH didn't complain. Wink

Phryn · 20/01/2015 07:22

Lovely scan news ots and Chook.
Glad that you're getting good monitoring p&e. Maybe try and combine the London scan with something you want to do/see up there. Hope you can get some answers about the urine soon.

Scan this morning Shock Grin Shock

Did not sleep well last night (v weird dreams about decorating the wrong house) and a strange looking cat. Have now woken up to a bit of snow on the ground and it's still falling. Feels like a very odd day indeed. A bit like Christmas but a scarier version.

Good luck to today's other scanees (*Bubalou maybe or I might be misremembering).

Ooo, Elizabeth. Yes, my oh is appreciating the, Erm, renewed attention. Blush Although did have quite a dream about his brother. I don't find his brother remotely attractive. Odd things these hormones. Hmm

Can't wait to see updated scan news later.

Jackiebrambles · 20/01/2015 08:33

Just popping on to wish good scan luck today ladies! Will be thinking of you all x
