Hi everyone, I posted once on here right at the start but nothing since then so in truth I'm new to the thread!

Hi!

I am due 19th June and scan is not until 30th jan so I won't know what I'm having until then, no planned further scans after that but have a consultant appt due to traumatic birth and bleed last time.

That's about it, otherwise just feeling tired out of my mind following an 18 month old round every day! Anyone else hear that?

X

htf2 · 14/01/2015 18:57

Hi all, I am not helping balance out the numbers with a little boy on his way here! To be really really honest I am so glad we found out so I can get my head around it and stop thinking about Liberty dresses (can boys wear Liberty fabric in any way??!) , but DH is very excited which is nice :) All normal apparently, I had to do star jumps and go to the bathroom to get our lazy little bean to move. 305g doesn't sound very big... hello newbies and glad it all worked out Tori! Next scan is 36 weeks which sounds forever away.

Chookford · 14/01/2015 19:42

htf congrats on your baby boy! These boys are taking over the world! Grin.

frankie welcome back! Maybe you will be having a girly and we can start bringing back the girls! I'm sure I'm having another girl but have to wait until May sometime to be proved right or wrong! Smile

frankienoodles · 14/01/2015 19:51

I think I'll get another boy tbh! Obvs just want a healthy baby really but am craving a girl and one of each would be lovely!

Newgirl33 · 14/01/2015 19:58

I've booked my antenatal class for the end of April at my local hospital. Apparently they said they don't normally book people in this early.

Also thinking about booking a first aid course with the British Red Cross for babies and kids.

Just wondered if anyone is in the West Midlands?

Tryingreallyhard84 · 14/01/2015 20:15

My classes at the hospital are really early by comparison - first 3 weeks in March! Midwife panicked me saying I should have rang up and booked on by now. Well, hospital gave me the dates so they know when I'm due. I'm going to take a look at nct but really unsure I can stretch financially. Might see if I can out more about local goings on though.

Hello newbies or relative newbies. Grin

Lovely scan news as always. Smile Elizabeth - I hope you enjoy your private scan tomorrow.

After a day where I could quite have easily started mat leave tomorrow I'm going to gave a cup of tea and relax with a book.

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 14/01/2015 20:27

Thankyou trying, eager to see the baby again but also part nervous that everything is all still going ok.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 14/01/2015 20:35

Evening all, hope you're all fairing up ok. I'm struggling. Was admitted to hospital as an emergency by the gp, where I nearly collapsed in the waiting room. Diagnosed with pneumonia, dvt and low blood pressure. Am on strong antibiotics, having had blood thinning meds, chest X-ray, millions of blood tests cannulas etc etc. Having never needed an oxygen mask, I have to say that stuff is brilliant! Am finally home after a horrid ordeal which involved being transferred by ambulance to another hospital in between. No sleep, choke choke choke and struggling to breathe. Lost more weight too. But apparently with a heat beat of 155 this baby is doing fine. Little sucker is taking every last bit of me. Wink Next weeks scan can't come quick enough.

Newgirl33 · 14/01/2015 20:39

Trying - March seems really soon! I may look into NCT classes too.

I gave my manager at work some prewarning that I plan to go on mat leave for a year and take a my annual leave as a single block before my due date. He was fine with it all - I like it when a manager appreciates a work-life balance! Smile

Newgirl33 · 14/01/2015 20:40

MrsExtra - hope you get well soon! Flowers

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 14/01/2015 20:54

mrsextra oh my word that sounds like a terrifying and scary experience. Hope your OH is taking care of you and that you are getting plenty of R and R tonight.

Chookford · 14/01/2015 20:56

mrsE you poor thing, you really are going through the ringer aren't you?! Really hope things start to improve for you soon.. Glad to hear baby is doing fine though!

AnythingNotEverything · 14/01/2015 21:11

Bloody hell MrsE - that sounds like a real ordeal. I hope you're being well looked after now and on the mend.

I had my 20 week scan today - everything there that should be and all in the right place! Sonographer reckons its a boy which I am perfectly happy with, although we haven't thought of any boy's names and had a large list of girls names that we liked!

htf2 · 14/01/2015 21:48

oh Mrs E you are not having the best time of it. I hope it gets better from here.
I think I am signing up for an NCT course. We are already registered for a hospital one which is a full day on a saturday. Add 16h of this nct course and I feel like it is a lot of classes, not to mention the cost... Think I am mainly doing it to meet some people in my suburb tbh, while most of my friends have little ones they are all in Australia and we don't have friends with children over here.

I am starting to urgently need some black work maternity pants - any good suggestions for a tailored suit-like look? I bought a pair on ASOS but most unflattering things ever so back they go... Seraphine's look beautiful but I really think I shouldn't be paying that much, they are not going to be post baby wear!

jazzyjenbo · 14/01/2015 21:52

Sorry to hear what you've gone through MrsE, but glad you're back home.

Congrats on good scans htf and Heidi.

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 14/01/2015 22:21

Wow the boys number has really jumped up!

Thank you chookford and jazzy I am thinking girl, OH did think girl but now thinks boy, but I am convinced girl. I am hoping that as baby was lying perfectly for the NT measurement they will be in perfect position so we can find out who is right. If they are being naughty the scan centre give you time to go for a walk and then rescan. Healthy is number one priority.

rolypolybird84 · 14/01/2015 22:23

Thank you cuphat I have phoned Dr who thinks upper uti but sent off for testing!

Hope you feel better soon mrse

Scans coming thick and fast now! Feel like mine is an age away...5th Feb!!!

I second the vote for new look work trousers - can't go wrong for £12.99 in different leg lengths (another shortie!) I got one over bump and one under bump thinking I would keep only one pair but both very comfortable and fit well so kept both to wear for the next 10 years of my life
