dh visiting soon we need to actually discuss names

donkir · 21/01/2015 16:39

I finish on Monday at 38+4 I'm really finding it a struggle this week. My back hurts and my pubic bone feels like it's going to split apart. Not forgetting the need to fall asleep baiting the day but can't while working.

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 21/01/2015 16:43

tonights lovely names, welcome Annie and Martha.

I'm fine with people posting birth stories, if others are. I'd actually be quite interested in your birth story as it was ELCS.

BanglesSpangles · 21/01/2015 16:45

aaah lovely, tonights :)

I'm well up for the gory details, but I don't scare easily, so appreciate that some would rather not!!

Thanks why, I think statutory is based on EDD but he gets enhanced and at this stage I don't want to find out how finickity they could or couldn't be! Fingers crossed ds carries on keeping bits of food down.

Because of saved up AL / where Christmas was etc I managed to finish work at 34w, I'm glad I did and take my hat off to those going a lot later.

Mimosa1 · 21/01/2015 16:59

Hi Tonight, I'd love to hear the birth story too, if you're happy to share. Lovely names for your little girls. So pleased to hear you're feeling OK.

Memphis, am thinking of you. Hope all goes well today.

Geeky, I got married earlier last year, and used a huge chunk of AL to go on a 3 week honeymoon. Bliss, but meant I didn't have any to carry over this year, so felt like I had to go as long as possible. After a truly horrendous first and early 2nd trimester with hypermesis, I've felt very well in the 3rd, so it's been OK. All of my new friends at NCT are on leave and having coffees mid-week without me though and feeling a bit envious/left out. Only 1 more day to go though!

longbottom · 21/01/2015 17:36

Congrats tonight's, how exciting!

Hope your going ok Memphis!!

longbottom · 21/01/2015 17:38

Martha is our girls name, I just love it! Obviously great taste!
I'm well up for a birth story Smile

Memphisbelly · 21/01/2015 17:45

im all ears for birth story. im bored to tears after being here since 8 ....dh is on his way with haribo and choc supplies

JacktheLab · 21/01/2015 17:46

Congrats Tonight on the new babies :)

I have done almost nothing today, just sat on the sofa, finishing up crochet projects which I have promised to get done and watch terrible tv, awful heartburn though :(

I did go for lunch with my DH and DS has been in nursery so it's been quite lovely!

Memphis, hope something happens soon!

freneticfox · 21/01/2015 17:50

Tonights, those are gorgeous names :)

Our next door neighbours have just started their daily screaming match. I think they're mother and daughter... either way they argue for about a solid hour each day, screaming the most vile language at each other. They both seem SO polite out in the street though, so I wonder if they just don't relaise how thin the walls are.

Methinks once our little one is here they might just realise how much can be heard...

freneticfox · 21/01/2015 17:50

realise*. Not sure where relaise came from...

blankfornames · 21/01/2015 17:51

Awwww Congrats Tonights!! Two little girls! Hope you three are doing well!! At least you weren't hanging around for the day waiting!

I've carried my bump quite low all along. I never had any heartburn either because my bump was low. Everyone now that sees me comments that it's a boy bump as it's low. It's really annoying me as I want it as a surprise!! Has anyone carried a girl but carried it low?!

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 21/01/2015 18:10

Blank 3 sonographers have said this ones a girl and I've carried this pregnancy lower than DS.

DS is much better now. He's eaten more crackers and breadsticks (didn't want his toast though) and is going to bed now (doesn't normally go until 7). Just hoping he stays OK through the night.

Bangonthedoor · 21/01/2015 19:20

I'm up for birth stories too! Grin

thingsarelookingup · 21/01/2015 19:50

I'm up for hearing birth stories!

Congrats tonights. The names are lovely. I hope you are enjoying lovely newborn cuddles.

Surf25 · 21/01/2015 20:05

Grinningcat · 21/01/2015 21:39

Congratulations tonight's. Those are very good weights. I was only 6 lbs 8oz myself when I was born full term.

I have completely messed my pelvis up today. Stupidly tried to catch a door at work as it closed with a foot because I had my hands full and immediately got a sharp stab through the front of my pelvis. Now it is sooo painful to hobble round the house although I am okay just sat on the sofa. All the pain is in my pubic joint and left crotch. I had a bath as soon as I got home. It was agony to lift my left leg over the edge of the bath. I had to lift it over with my hands to get in and out. Really hope it eases overnight and I haven't completely buggered myself doing something so stupid.

Bangonthedoor · 21/01/2015 21:44

Yay memphis Grin wishing you all the best!

freneticfox · 21/01/2015 21:50

Woohoo Memphis - good luck :D

Honeybird · 21/01/2015 21:59

Go Memphis!
Lovely names tonights!
I'm definitely up for all birth stories.
37 weeks tomorrow. In theory for work and leave purposes I should be wanting to make it to 39 weeks but my goodness would really like this baby out now...

freneticfox · 21/01/2015 22:04

This might be an incredibly dumb question but here we go anyway...

I can't have TOO many baths at this late stage, can I? It's just that it soothes my SPD pain so much and really chills me out. Some people seem to think though that a bath can bring on labour?

Obviously after Saturday this would be fine... (when I'll be 37w).

Cookie1831 · 21/01/2015 22:09

I live in the bath and did with my first and I was a week late, not heard of it bringing on labour (wish it would!)
Lovely girly names for the twins and good luck Memphis if the contractions are 4 mins apart already hopefully won't be too long Smile
