Hi All

OP posts:

Bang when Nbaby gets hiccups all of the jolting is below belly button, when he was the wrong way the jolt from hiccup was above belly button, when is the scan?

Frenetic yep sounds like a bit of plug I have lost a bit every day iver weekend, looks jellyfied like what you cough up Grin I lost bits for weeks before ds so I was shocked to only lose some since my sweep this time round.

Tonights good luck tomorrow, I also hope to be updating tomorrow if baby wants to fly out so our babies may have the same birthday!

I have been so flustered today trying to remember stuff, went from hair, pedi and brows and lashes this morning, then went to my sisters to drop ds's bag off and mums to collect my washing then food shopping, chemist for prescriptions and home with ds, we are going out for tea tonight for as dh calls it 'my last supper' then home tonight for last quick clean, bath and early night...no doubt I won't be able to sleep tonight when I need my energy!

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 20/01/2015 16:06

tonight hope everything goes well. Will be thinking of you.

Peppermint hope baby will turn for you. Get on that spinning babies website everyone on mn seems to suggest, see if some of those excersises work. Have you thought about ecv and/or c section options? It horrible when you've just got head around a VB that you need to consider the possibility its going to be cs. There are some really reassuring threads on mn about elcs.

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 20/01/2015 16:10

Bang at least they'll know soon one way or another. Fingers crossed baby is just well engaged.

Memphis good luck tomorrow. We could have a few new thread babies tomorrow if you progress quickly.

freneticfox · 20/01/2015 16:20

Does it make me a bad person to wish this baby out at 37w (as soon as he's ready basically!)? I've had the shittiest nine months and I'm just about ready to move on... painful UTI is painful. SPD is painful. I could go on, but I think you've all heard me complain enough :P

Will be thinking of you tomorrow Memphis, can't wait to get some more thread babies!

Was thinking actually, will we move to post natal or use Facebook? Only wondering because I'm going to guess that once I've got a newborn I'll have limited time to check FB and forums :D

Then again, I might get lucky ;)

Memphisbelly · 20/01/2015 16:28

Frenetic think there was talk of the thread and fb....you will have plenty of time, new babies sleep, poo, feed repeat Grin

PeppermintInfusion · 20/01/2015 16:52

Memphis, good luck!

Why, I've been doing some of the spinning babies yoga type poses, that website is really useful if anyone else is looking for info btw, not just on breech babies either. The last time I saw a dr (not my actual one) she mentioned doing an ECV but didn't explain much but my mw yesterday said she wouldn't recommend it for me as she said in her opinion it was risky anyway, and probably wouldn't work for me as the baby was long and felt quite wedged down in my pelvis. I have an appt again next week with the consultant this time so I'll see what he says.

GeekyHybrid · 20/01/2015 18:02

Thank you for the descriptions frenetic and memphis, gives us FTMs a big clue of what to look for! And frenetic you are not bad for wishing it over at this stage. If it wasn't for the paternity qualification issue for OH I'd be wishing it as well. I'm 38 weeks on Thursday but need little one to at least be in February.
Enjoy your 'last supper' Memphis, sounds like you've had a busy day so hope you get a bit of relaxation in before meeting second son.
Actually did a bit of washing of baby stuff today, the mittens and socks are so tiny. It's getting so real. Also started listening to some hypno-birthing CD's a friend loaned me, probably a bit late in the day to get 'trained' but I figure any little helps!!

amyandtom · 20/01/2015 18:23

Hi everyone just updating you all, we had our baby boy oscar 5lb2oz at 8.45am on Saturday the 17th, me and him are both STILL stuck in hospital because he was small so needed 4hourly observations for 48-72 hours after birth Shock fed up of being here and soo ready to go home and be with oh overnight again and not stuck on a ward all day. Sad was in labour ward from 6.30 till he arrived so was quite quick for a first timer! Now have the added joys of stitches as well as being stuck in a curtained off bed x

thingsarelookingup · 20/01/2015 18:24

Good luck for tomorrow memphis and tonight! And congratulations jen. It's all getting exciting.

Sand breastfeeding certainly doesn't hurt once it is established. I actually don't remember it hurting at all last time and I had the same fear as you prior to birth because I have really sensitive nipples. For some reason it is just completely different with breastfeeding. I would even have to check if DS was still feeding sometimes because I couldn't feel anything at all!

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 20/01/2015 18:30

Congratulations Amy Flowers. Hope you and Oscar get to go home soon.

freneticfox · 20/01/2015 18:40

Congratulations Amy! Pics! :p

Geeky I'm a FTM too, just going on assumptions and Google image search. I'm a morbid little thing ;)

Bangonthedoor · 20/01/2015 18:42

Congrats amy! Hope you and little Oscar get to go home soon Thanks

Thanks memphis, they're going to call me tomorrow apparently to give me an appointment for a scan.

Wishing you lots of luck for tomorrow memphis and keep us posted when you can. Enjoy your last supper tonight!

amyandtom · 20/01/2015 18:53

Also congratulations Jen hope you are getting off to a better start hospital wise Smile Flowers

longbottom · 20/01/2015 19:03

Congratulations Jen and Amy!!

It's so exciting, five weeks feels like forever away for me to wait!

I did find breast feeding painful and really didn't enjoy it, but still going to try again with this one. I've got nipple shields and Lansinoh ready in my bag!
I got told I'm glowing today but really don't feel it.

Minichuch · 20/01/2015 19:16

long I'm same 5 weeks to go and it still seems ages away - lucky still got loads to do at home and am busy at work otherwise it could seem like a whole lot longer

Ticktick · 20/01/2015 19:16

Congratulations Amy and welcome Oscar. Well done in such a quick birth. Hope you get to go home soon!

Good luck for tomorrow memphis hope you have a quick one too.

Good luck to tonights too! Hope they don't keep you waiting all day!

Can't wait to see pics. Totally love that babies are arriving after all these months!

Memphisbelly · 20/01/2015 19:32

Congrats Amy hope you get home soon, hope mine goes quick too.

Eating out was so uncomfy baby was so rigid and refused to move so I couldn't lean over table to eat better... Needless to say I dropped quite a bit of food!

Grinningcat · 20/01/2015 19:46

Congratulations Amy and good luck Memphis and tonight's for tomorrow. Can't believe we are actually here having babies! Still have 4.5 weeks to go myself. Only 5 working days though. Can't wait.

blankfornames · 20/01/2015 20:56

Congrats Amy! Welcome little Oscar!!

Best of luck Tonights! Can't wait to hear your news!! It's all very exciting!

Just over 4 weeks for me to go. I'm a FTM also and worried for my nips as they're already quite sensitive... and not in a good way!!

donkir · 20/01/2015 20:56

Congrats to Amy too.
Good luck tomorrow Memphis. Lots of babies arriving.
Don't forget ladies we have a lovely private Facebook page if you'd feel more comfortable posting pics there.

freneticfox · 20/01/2015 21:48

Anyone else get really ratty if they don't have a nap? I've apparently reverted to being a toddler! Today is the first time in weeks that I've not been able to take a nap during the day and I feel bloody awful this evening!

Surf25 · 20/01/2015 22:08

Huge congrats to jen and amy on the arrival of your sons! Lovely news! And all the best for tomorrow to tonights and memphis ! Exciting times hope all goes smoothly!! Can't wait to hear news of more babies!

JacktheLab · 20/01/2015 22:08

Quick query, how old before we can take the baby out to things like toddlers with the older siblings?

I'm just thinking once my DH has gone back to work, ds will need to go out to stuff or I'll go demented, but I don't want to run the risk of getting the baby sick.

Memphisbelly · 20/01/2015 22:13

jack straight away. ill children shouldn't be at groups so it shoulld be fine. at group I used to go to often saw babies a week old there. Grin when we last went centerparcs there was a man with his week old baby in pool....even my dh was stunned and nothing phases him

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 20/01/2015 22:17

jack that's an interesting point actually. Don't want newborn to get the horrible toddler group colds but want to get DS back into toddler groups asap (especially since he's not been able to go to them because of my PGP for a while). Very interested to know what others think.
