shantotto I'm the same, I've felt almost human since Saturday. My sickness has been easing over the past few weeks and I had a scan on the 2nd which showed a bouncing babba with HB. I'm just guess now I'm over 10weeks I'm on the home stretch. I'm panicking a bit as I don't feel 'pregnant'. But then I'm still having crazy dreams, sore boobs and I want to eat all the time!

I am looking forward to getting this phase over with, like you sisterelephant I'm only eating because I know I have to, I don't actually want anything which is so unlike me as normally I love food!

It's making me feel quite down because I don't feel like myself, I spent so long trying to get pregnant and had this idea in my head of how exciting it would be when it finally happened, I just hadn't figured I would feel quite this bad.

Finally I have a mw appointment for tomorrow, I'll be 11+2! She's coming to my house though, so I'm not entirely sure how she'll do blood tests etc. Scan date also came through - two weeks today! Argh

So far, I'm one of the lucky ones with no nausea, I've had the joys of extreme fatigue though. However, I think that might be fingers crossed slowly improving now, thank goodness! So there is hope!

Oh and you experienced ladies, stop with the horror stories! Thinking of tears and post-delivery poos makes me want to weep

I wouldn't say I have not felt anything - I had that niggly feeling of something, like before you get proper period cramps? But I wouldn't call it painful. Wouldn't call it cramps.

I would rather think it's a mc but it would be the best thing in the world if I was proven wrong.

Can someone remind me how much water/when do I have to drink to have a full bladder? Is it a pint an hour before? Scan is just after 12.

And thank you everyone for your reassurances and hand holding, you guys are amazing

The scanning place told me 1l an hour before... It was way too much and I was very, very uncomfortable and my bladder was overfull during the scan. A pint an hour before sounds about right, if your bladder isn't quite full enough they just give you another 15 mins then try again usually.

Hope that all is well when you have the scan, sometimes the little tinkers just love to worry us xx

daisysunshine I'm 10wks5 days today. I've calmed down a bit, especially after bursting into tears at work when someone casually asked how I was!

Trying to relax and I have my booking in appointment on Wednesday so will just chat with the midwife then. I'd better get my scan through soon after. If it's 3 weeks away I'll go mad!

I'm 8 weeks and 4 days pregnant - due August 20th - with my first baby (eek). I'm 29 years old and the first one of my girlfriends to fall pregnant so advice is in short supply!

I've been reading your posts with interest and identify with so many of your comments, especially from those of you who've been feeling under the weather.

The baby was measuring 5 weeks, and I should be 8+1. They couldn't confirm mc as they have to go by scan, not my dates, so I have to go back in 2 weeks for another scan.

But I know it is. There's no way in the world I could have gotten a BFP at just 1w pg.

I'm feeling at peace now and just so grateful that I have my lovely DS. I think it would have been harder if I didn't have a child already.

So it looks like I'll have to leave this thread which is very unfortunate, as you're such a lovely bunch. Good luck with your pregnancies ladies

Big hugs carrot it is crap, but you will get through it, I have been there myself. The MC threads are great support, as well as providing some practical info, also for when you are ready the TTC after MC board is great. And I hope to see you on the preg after MC thread soon xxxx

Hello again everyone, sorry I've been so quiet lately. I've had my first mw appt and my scan is 20 January. EDD 2 August, how exciting! Can't wait to find out if it's twins, which is looking highly likely as dh comes from a family with a lot of twins in. I think I'll be shocked if the scan shows only 9 be baby!

Well I'm feeling almost human again, I'm 10+4 and the sickness is passing. I've just had my scan letter through and I won't be scanned until 13+5. I also had a quick 5 min mini booking in appointment (last wk) where they took my address, bp and tested my urine. She said she'd visit this week to fill in my family history etc but now she said she'll do it when I'm 16+ 6. This all seems very late.

Faye im the same as you, turn 29 next month and know nobody close to me with a baby. I'm the oldest in my friends group and boy do i feel it now i dont even know how to change a nappy tbh! This is a whole new adventure. By my calcs I'm 7+5 x

Smiles for all the newbies!! My sister has a video of me and my DH attempting to put a baby grow on mini kimmi- we really look clueless and scared!!

Babies only need baby grows for the first few months, years weeks, plenty of time for clothes shopping once the baby is here!!

Post partum, I wasn't allowed home until I'd produced 200ml of urine. oMG my poor pelvic floor couldn't support a wet tea bag, let alone a bladder full!! Took me fucking ages!! Excuse my language but I just wanted to go home!!!

Wow can't believe we are on to a second thread- I've only been away a week! Got back from skiing yesterday morning- the travel days going and coming home were horrendous- I seem to be more sick when I'm tired and they both involved 1.30am alarms! Had a great time whilst there although felt quite ill a lot skiing managed to distract me enough and I even did some black runs which I wasn't sure I'd feel I wanted to! Didn't fall once as was being cautious but was fab!

Told all the families yesterday so relived to have told people at last! 10 weeks today so still quite early but had to tell work today as part of my job involves physical restraint so need to be put in the office and didn't want them knowing before the family! Gonna be weird going in work and people realising!

Had a good day today- first time in weeks I've not been sick/ felt sick and actually managed to cook and eat a meal......is it wrong though that I've just finished eating it and I'm still starving?! I made enough for tommorrow night too but thinking I might go eat it now!!

Hello ladies, please can I join? Been lurking since xmas and just about got the gumption to say hello.

I'm 37 and this will be #1, EDD is 11/08/15 which makes me 10 wks tomorrow.

I've been waiting nervously for a scan date since before xmas as booking apt not til week 12, but arrived today and is the day before my MW appt! I'm going for a viability scan and Harmony test this Thursday so really hoping all will be well :-)

I'm waiting for my scan date to come through, midwife said hopefully next week, had to go for repeat blood test yesterday as they lost the first lot!

Has everyone got settled back into the work routine? I'm finding it really tiring...
