Chance you should be able to edit.Is anyone else having trouble editing? I've changed your due date for you for now Smile

Birchwoods yes it saves automatically!

ChanceBeAFineThing · 02/02/2015 13:07

I only have phone/iPad. Do I need a pc?

ChanceBeAFineThing · 02/02/2015 13:23

And thanks for updating due date

mzzzf · 02/02/2015 14:25

Birchwoods paracetamol is absolutely fine. I've needed several doses of it since becoming pg as my headaches seem to get more easily triggered. Just stay away from the ibuprofen.

I've got my 15 week MW appt this week, not entirely sure what happens but just keen to get back in with the sonographer to get a proper dating scan done, that's next week.

For those of you under consultant care - when did you get ypur fondue rant appts through?

happygojo · 02/02/2015 15:05

I have been taking so much paracetamol, my migraines have been horrific. I am off work today. If everything is fine at the scan tomorrow I am thinking of looking into massage, acupuncture, osteopath. But I don't have loads of spare cash... However I can't spend the next 6 months with 3-4 days a week wiped out!

ruby242 · 02/02/2015 15:28

Had my scan today, was amazing! Baby sleeping so had to wake him/her up and was so sweet to see him/her move! Nuchal measurement was in the low range so that's a relief too. Due date moved forward by a day so now due 13th August :)

I recommend cranial osteopath for migraines, I go as soon as I start getting them and it fixes them quickly :) I think mine are linked to my neck/back being out of line but is worth a try as they are horrible aren't they.

Frolicacid · 02/02/2015 15:34

penguin, I hope you are feeling better today. I second everything in glitter's post from last night. Get yourself to the gp.

Thanks for the stats dani. Will try to remember to use my laptop next time I log in so I can have a look.

happy, I have been to my gp about migraines. I suffer from hormone related cluster migraines. They have improved with the pregnancy but I have had a few whoppers. Because nothing else has worked and I became dangerously dehydrated after the last episode my gp has recommended that I take my usual triptan medication. I have been through the literature with him and sm happy that the risk (especially) in the first trimester is minimal. I'm hoping that they pass after 12 weeks.aube you should speak to your gp.

I hope everyone is doing ok. I'm having a really good day in that I've not vomited and I've managed to eat proper food. I hope it carries on! I've also had my scan date through at last for 18th feb. I'll be gone 13 weeks by then. Feels like ages away.

Guyropes · 02/02/2015 15:47

Mzzzf.... We get fondue rants? I can't wait!!!!

I love autocorrect sometimes Smile

Got the letter through from downs screening... Low risk (1:50000) so very happy and relieved we have no difficult decision to make about further tests etc. hope all of you waiting for results are feeling ok, and get good results too.

Hi everyone! Had my scan this morning Grin all fine and they've pushed me forward 3 days so now due 9th aug! Baby was not playing ball at all, was in there for a good 20 mins and then had to go for a walk and go back in! Nuchal measurement was low aswell so just have to wait for bloods now Smile

mzzzf · 02/02/2015 16:47

Guyropes autocorrect is my nemesis! However, I would go all 'vicar of dibley' on a choccie fondue right now!!
Btw is anyone else dead excited that they're remaking a vicar of dib episode for comic relief?!

Also don't know if it's true but I have never felt more dipsy than I have lately. I'm not loving what pregnancy does to your noggin!

PenguinTuxedo · 02/02/2015 17:50

Thank you very much for all the lovely support and advice everyone!

I phoned the Drs again today and got a phone call back. I have now been prescribed metoclopramide. Does anyone have any experience of this medication?

I've read about it online, that it helps by moving food from your stomach to your intenstine faster. My question though, is would this make me hungry? When I'm hungry the sickness is worse. I've just taken my first tablet, so will see how I go.

In good news, I got my consultant appointment through today (well, two of them). The first one is on 19th Feb, so not long to wait! :)

xBlueberry88x · 02/02/2015 18:22

Had my scan today all good was in there for ages cos baby wasnt behaving but got 3 pics for free as they were running late! Due date moved to 7th August 3 days further on than we thought!

August 2015 part 2
Glitterrascal · 02/02/2015 19:38

Penguin - I was also prescribed metoclopramide after I found the supposed "miracle" cure ondansetron had little effect on how I felt. Despite metoclopramide apparently being a much cheaper medicine (and therefore I presumed less effective) I definitely found this was the best tablet for me. Unfortunately, it still didn't stop vomiting and nausea completely but there was a subtle change in how I felt. It definitely did not make me hungrier, I still had appetite issues!

I did ask a nurse why ondansetron would have no effect on me when it seems so popular and metoclopramide seemingly working better. She advised that it works in a completely different way and that just works for some ppl.

Hopefully this is the one for you because there's nothing worse than feeling like this, is there?!!

Joskar · 02/02/2015 21:18

Stabbing pains in my bum, inner thigh and up my back... nononononononono! I can't have SPD again. I just can't. Crutches/wheelchair last time. Couldn't bend down until three months after dd was born. Couldn't pick her up even. I want to weep. I'm only 11+3. It's way too soon.

Dozygirl · 02/02/2015 21:42

Mzzf vicar of dibley episode?? Omg I must make sure in watch that! I love it. Sad that Owen won't be in though :(

Congrats to everyone who have had scan . Lovely photos.

I feel for the ones that are really suffering with nausea and sickness. Even just the nausea made me fed up but I've come out of that now. Just have occasional waves of it.

Joskar hope it's not spd starting. Thats another really horrendous thing to get in pregnancy :(

Anyone else panicked everytime they get any cramping or pain in the uterus area? Even now I've had my scan I keep slipping back into the worrying about losing it stage. I think the pain was just from the tin of bake beans I had for lunch though haha. Now I've finished work I've been able to trump my way home so it feels a little better.

Emb540 · 03/02/2015 08:09

Oooo vicar of Dibley!! Love it!!
Anyone else watch silent Witness? I swear it was Alice in last weeks!

Feeling rough today, sore throat & all feeling sorry for myself. Wish there was a scan between 12-20 weeks as all symptoms have gone except this extreme triedness I do keep questioning myself was the scan a dream Smile

Luciferbox · 03/02/2015 08:44

Scan day! Only an hour away, terrified but also very excited. No idea how I'm going to survive the next hour without needed the loo. Hold on bladder!

mzzzf · 03/02/2015 09:30

Good luck lucifer don't drink too much though like me. My bladder was so huge they asked me to empty!! Blush

Fanby · 03/02/2015 09:40

Dozygirl I had exactly the same cramping/pain yesterday, couldn't help panic a little bit but once I went to bed turned out it was just gas too haha!

Emb540 LOVE Silent Witness - it wasn't Alice as the social worker - but they do looking alike!! (Claudie Blakley vs Emma Chambers)!

I'm really bored today…I got made redundant as I found out I was pregnant and am trying to find a job - so unmotivated to look!
Good luck for the scan Luciferbox, I hope all goes well, and for those suffering with sickness, migraines etc - hope you have a pain free day xx

Emb540 · 03/02/2015 10:29

Ahhh wasn't it. We were watching it and I was like I am sure it's her. Haha

Omg I can't stop eating beagles! I am going to be huge!! I don't normally eat bread ahhh home today from work really should be taking the dog for a walk in the snow but CBa to move :0(

Emb540 · 03/02/2015 10:29

Beagles!!! Bagels!!!! Omg dam you auto correct!!!

Luciferbox · 03/02/2015 10:44

All good, little monkey had their back to us and wouldn't really move around much but was thrashing about lovely. They've also put my dates forward by a week. So I'm now due July 30th. So glad everything is ok. Now to get excited. And tell DS who will not be happy.

Fanby · 03/02/2015 10:48

Haha! Well autocorrect was obviously on your logic if you're supposed to be taking the dog for a walk Grin.

Love bagels, at uni during exam time we lived on toasted bagels filled with cream cheese, crispy bacon and breaded onion rings...I cannot begin to even imagine that fat content! Ha!

ChanceBeAFineThing · 03/02/2015 11:14

Oh God. I need bagels. That's what's been missing from my diet, going to shops now to buy some for lunch. Dam you lot! Glad scan was good lucifer

happygojo · 03/02/2015 11:27

Scan day and I am so scared. I have 4.5 hours to go. I feel like I am walking to the gallows and wishing that I had decided to have an early scan. I had a little cry on the way to work this morning and last night I tossed and turned all night having the craziest dreams. I just hope everything is alright this time.

Definitely eating my feelings and clock watching. I have even told my boss to not give me anything with a deadline beyond today. Just in case. I wish I could be positive and excited but I just can't.
