I was very worried about that too Penguin. Especially as I got pregnant straight a miscarriage (6 weeks) and I have no symptoms but there is definitely a little baby in there! I saw it kicking away this afternoon!

Try not to worry, this time tomorrow you will know!

Dozygirl · 22/01/2015 21:17

Oh that's weird august, that's no good then at all. Mamas and papas seem to be quite big sixes so also difficult to get the right ones. Guess it's not gonna be easy finding the right clothes for a good few months.

Hiya penguin and yep I feel that wa u too. Just wanna see it kicking and wiggling now.

daisysunshine2 · 22/01/2015 22:00

I've found sizes really weird too, my normal work trousers from next are a 10 so i bought some similar looking maternity ones from next in a 10 and I expected them to be a bit big around the waist at the minute but the bum, thighs.. Everything about them was just huge! So ordered an 8 and they were also massive?! Really don't understand why they change the sizing so much Confused

karatekimmi · 22/01/2015 22:32

Hi all,

I had my booking appointment today. Took blood and urine - it was very dark and I need to drink more, however I'm trying to cut down my Caffeine in take so drink less tea - I must remember to drink something else instead!!!

Finely feeling a bit better and haven't been sick since Monday, so hoping I've turned a corner and will be blooming and bouncing everywhere!!
I don't have a bump as such just a fat flabby belly but I think it's starting to push out a bitSad I'll be in maternity leggings soon - I never found any maternity jeans that were comfy last time but love love loved over the bump leggings!!!

northernlassy24 · 23/01/2015 07:12

Im 9 weeks and i cant feel that my tummy is any different at all. I know its still early and I do have a little padding but it would be reassuring if i could feel a hard lump in there or something. Im itching to actually look pregnant now! When did u guys start to notice anything? Always worrying something is wrong. Last saw a HB on 6th Jan on early scan. Tempted to go private I don't think I can hold on til 13th Feb Confused x

toothachereturns · 23/01/2015 07:23

Northern lass. With both mine I could feel my womb above my pubic bone at about 12/13 weeks. before that it's tucked behind all the bones in your pelvis. I didn't have a proper round pregnancy bump until after 20 weeks. This is my third though so I may pop out quicker. Grin

northernlassy24 · 23/01/2015 07:39

Thank you toothache, thats good to know. It's my first so I don't know what's normal so im constantly googling stuff. I need to leave it alone I'm my own worst enemy! x

RainbowTortoise · 23/01/2015 07:55

I also lived in over the bump leggings last time, I could never find any jeans that fit well.

I started showing around 20 weeks, my first congratulations without telling the person I was pregnant was at 23 weeks so by then it was really noticeable.

10 weeks now, still can't feel bump but my tummy is looking a little rounder :-) That may be all the junk I have been eating though!

MrsTea81 · 23/01/2015 07:58

Morning, sorry not been on all week but just been having a catch up on what I've missed.

Firstly iloveyoubaby I'm so sorry to hear your news, take care.

Sorry to hear some of you are still so poorly with sickness, hope everyone overcomes it sooner rather than later.

Penguin been having the exact same fears myself and I've got to wait till next Thursday for my first scan, good luck today and let us know how it goes.

Think my belly is definitely getting bigger now, am 12 weeks tomorrow, though weirdly I've lost a pound or two despite eating more than usual and I've been one of the lucky ones with no sickness.

So glad it's Friday, finding the working week really tiring still.

Have a great weekend everyone...

happygojo · 23/01/2015 09:00

I have suddenly started to feel fat and bloated in the past week or so, I have been managing to eat more so that might be why, so I am wearing maternity jeans for the first time today (H&M over bump ones). I am worried because I got really bloated with my MMC from like 6 weeks despite there being no baby so now I am scared that I have bloated because something is wrong Sad. That said I am 10+4 today so I am trying to stay positive. First scan on the 3rd February so 11 sleeps!

And TFI Friday!hope everyone has a funday friday!

Dozygirl · 23/01/2015 09:39

Ouch this ligament pain seems to be getting worse! Just sneezed and the whole of my pelvic area hurt! Also have to remember not to stand up too quick either because that sets it off. Does it stop at some point?

PenguinTuxedo · 23/01/2015 10:36

Thanks for the support everyone. Scan isn't until 2.45, yet I'm a shaking mess!!
Do they do bloods before or after the scan?

AliOh · 23/01/2015 11:18

Hi everyone! Hope you're all well, I've been totally rubbish with posting and keeping up so apologies! Life has been a little busy to say the least. I had a scan a couple of weeks ago and I was 9w 2 days so bang on with my dates ! Due 12th August got another scan now on the 2nd. Just as a thought, would anyone be interested in setting up a facebook group? Maybe after 12 week scans? I completely understand if people want to stay annonymous but we have a facebook group for my mumsnet post natal group (may 2014) and I must say it's much easier to keep up! And the support there has been invaluable both during pregnancy (the live labour threads were fun Smile ) and after watching all our babies growing up is lovely ?? A few have even met up and we are planning a big meet in April! Just a though anyway if anyone is interested !

Rikalaily · 23/01/2015 11:32

iloveyoubaby I'm so sorry to hear of your loss Sad

10+5 today, bump is out of the pelvis (no.5 so happens around 9-10w for me) but still hidden under fat belly. Think I'm going to have to switch to maternity jeans though because I have to have my button and zip open when I sit down or they dig into bump, they are loose when I'm standing up so not too tight. Hoping my old maternity jeans will fit, although not holding my breath as I'm over a stone heavier than I was when I bought them lol.

12w scan is 3rd Feb.

madasaboxafrogs · 23/01/2015 12:06

Ali i would definately join a fb group, we set one up for my previous child, and its much easier to keep up with. We did a big meet last summer and got ~50 of the 63 in the group there!

Emb540 · 23/01/2015 12:15

**ALI I am up for that. I am part of 2 different groups with the 2 DD & both have literally got me through everything!! I've met up with some for them too and they are now my best friends so I am up for that!

Dozy I can't remember this pain ever going? I find it the worst getting up too quick!!! I'm in so much pain and sneezing.

Hope you all feel better those feeling rough, Penguin good luck xxx

whitwoochantelle · 23/01/2015 15:15

Heyfrolici completely agree going in to hospital was the best choice I made, I was struggling with liquid n solids. But beein on the drip I managed to eat a meal for the ffirst time in weeks I cried lol its a viciousness circle hope u feel better soon my meds seem to be calming me im mainly sick in the afternoons/evenings now I can special k n marmalade on toast! All meat is killing me and chocolate!! Thats makes me upsrt thinking a bout it hahah! As long as u can keep some things down u can catch up later with good eating x

Dozygirl · 23/01/2015 15:29

Yeah when we're all further along a Facebook group seems good. 11 weeks today for me :)

Lilydreams · 23/01/2015 16:20

Hiya all!! Sorry I've not been on for ages- been reading but not writing as I've been pretty rough! Can't remember everything I've read but condolences to those who've had bad news and big hugs to both them and those with hg diagnoses! Flowers x On Monday night I was up all night throwing up and it continued all day Tuesday- kept a digestive and 2 cubes of melon down all day- I was terrified it was the beginning of hg for me but have since managed 2 'clean sheet' days (touch wood!)! So can't begin to imagine how bad you guys feel! I've stopped saying I feel 'better' as that's what I said just before it started up on Tuesday haha the irony!! As a result I can't even think about cheese never mind eat it which previously was a staple snack- babybels on crackers and Philly with breadsticks so I'm abit stuck for snacks and need constant grazing to not be ill- ideas anyone????

Jealous of those wih little bumps already- I'll be 12 weeks on Monday (day of scan too eek!) and although some days I'm mega bloated and look flabbier to me I weighed myself yesterday and have actually lost a pound! Strange!

Wouldn't personally be up for a fb group as I don't intend to put any pics of baby on there- I'm mega paranoid (due to the nature of my job) of weirdos looking at pics of my kid! Hope everyone will still post on here if there is a fb group- makes me feel so much better reading all your ladies similar experiences and worries!

Talking of worries is/was anyone else absolutely terrified of their 12 week scan?? Had a private one at 8 weeks but seems so long ago and now we've told everyone in so scared of something not being right!!

Dozygirl · 23/01/2015 18:01

I've not had a scan yet so also terrified of what they'll find on the scan. Seems to be a normal reaction from most people at this stage.

I'm guessing the Facebook group would be private and secret so nobody would be able to see or even know u were in a group if that helps u feel more comfortable with it I have groups for my team sports and unless ur in the group u can't see anything and not even the group name comes up.

Sparrowlegs248 · 23/01/2015 18:52

Good evening all, today was scan day!! And yes, I was soooo worried, i kept waking in the night and thinking of the scene in Marley and Me where Jennifer Anistons character has a scan and there's no heartbeat.

So, i drank FAR too much water (letter says as much as possible - this is a lie!!) resulting in my bladder being huge, pushing baby up near my tummy button! I was made to go for two wees before they did scan pics. Didn't have NT done, I wouldn't have a diagnostic tests so feel it would be an undue worry.

Baby was so incredibly active! Bouncing, flipping over, kicking waving and opening and closing mouth. It was amazing. Truly.

And here she/he is!

karatekimmi · 23/01/2015 19:07

Beautiful baby picture.

I've caught some s & d bug off my "D"H and it's so much worse than morning sickness (and I had 3 days off work last week :-( )

We had our booking appointment yesterday, bloods took and urine (very very dark - got told off) answered lots of questions, but it looks like I'll be able to have a water birth whoop whoop!!

Lilydreams · 23/01/2015 19:47

Dozy- it's having pictures on the Internet full stop- once things are on there there forever! I may see in time though- I suppose I could just not put pics on it!

Glad it's not just me feeling scared! Lovely scan picture notta, I'll be so much happier once I have seen mine and can relax!

Guyropes · 23/01/2015 19:52

Hi everyone,

Hope you got on ok penguin

We had a scan! It was great! Incredible really that we get the opportunity to see our babies like that.

Also got to meet the consultant and got 'high risk' label for time being due to blood pressure and history. Bit sad about that, but it means they are keeping a closer eye on me, so that's good.

I don't really go on Facebook, so it's not something I'd find useful to be honest.

Glad your scan went well notta, and good news about the water birth kimmi!

Flowers to all those stil feeling sick, being sick and HG... Hope it's short lived.
