Thank you every one :) Had the scan and weirdly they didn't let us hear the heartbeat, but there certainly was one, and the baby wouldn't stop wriggling and waving. It's now 4 days ahead of the previous scan we had, is this normal for it to grow so much?

I also gave in and phoned the Drs and got some anti sickness tablets. Fingers crossed they work!

Congrats on those who have had their scans!

Augustwedding · 24/01/2015 08:04

Hope you don't mind me adding this 3d thought you might be interested to see!

Frolicacid · 24/01/2015 08:58

Good morning!
Thank you for all the lovely messages. I'm starting to feel human again slowly. The anti sickness meds are making a huge difference and I'm mananging to keep liquids and some food down. They make me very drowsy do i'm hoping I won't need them by the time I go back to work in two weeks.

I'm loving all the scan pics and news! I'm only 9+4, so a while to wait yet.

I don't use Facebook, so wouldn't join a group. But will definitely stay here to chat if there is anyone left.

Have a good Saturday everybody! I think I just experienced my first round ligament pain after a sneeze! Ouchy!!

mzzzf · 24/01/2015 09:11

Good morning ladies! Hope you all have a good weekend in store.

I think I've picked up another lurgie bug. Got myself a lovely snotty nose and sore throat - AGAIN! Is anyone else out there suffering with crap immunity? I do work in a hospital on a busy medical ward so I'm exposed to lots of lovely bugs but never before have I been struck down with them so much. I'm wondering if it has something to do with my horrible fatigue too, maybe I just don't have anything in reserve.

Buuuuuut got my scan on Monday, I'll be 13 + 1 then and already can feel myself getting so incredibly nervous in hoping that everything is ok!

Also, is anyone else reading the "spooky/creepy things happen to you" thread over in AIBU?! Word of warning - don't read it alone, at night! Grin

otter32 · 24/01/2015 09:44

Aw loving the scans! And the 3d one august!

I was very nervous about mine. But then my appointment was an hour late so I was distracted by the fact that I needed to pee so much! I have no tolerance when it comes to needing a wee, it hurts!

I'd be up for a Facebook group but will still come on here too.

We told everybody after the scan and everyone has been lovely, so that was a relief!

I also put a deposit down on a travel system as Mamas and Papas have a sale on and I saved loads! Just trying to get prepared! Smile

Shantotto · 24/01/2015 10:54

I had my 12 week scan yesterday and got told off by the Sonographer as I was dehydrated! The midwife didn't tell me to drink lots if water before, I did for my very early private scan but just thought as I was a bit further along I wouldn't need to.

So I had to gulp down cup after cup of water and she tried again a couple more times. She could tell that all was ok saw heartbeat, measuring correctly but the image wasn't great and she couldn't do the diagnostic tests. I sure felt like my bladder was full after all that water!

Luckily she had an appointment for Wednesday when I'll be 13 weeks so I'm going back then. She said it would be much easier then as the baby would be bigger.

I did feel a little silly about the water thing, I normally drink loads at work but that day I didn't.

Afterwards popped to a huge shopping centre as I wanted to bit a wee teddy. Ended up with 3! I bought a jelly cat spotty dog as when my mum first found out she was pregnant with me she bought me a spotty dog that I still have. Thought that would be a nice connection. Smile

Will post a scan pic when I get one you can actually see better!

Joskar · 24/01/2015 12:28

Hi.

I've been lurking four a wee whiley but thought I'd take the plunge and "officially" join you. I'm 10+2 and I've just had my booking in. This will be DC 2. Had DC 1 in sept 13 and still pally with the MN antenatal thread lassies from then. Can't believe I'm back on the baby train. Feeling hellish and only getting through the long car journey to and from work with the help of pickled onion Space Invaders. 67 cals a bag: you know it makes sense!

Haven't got my scan date yet but had an early one at 6/7 weeks because of bleeding. Everything seemed OK then so keeping my fingers crossed that it still is. Certainly the fact that I still feel shite suggests that I'm still pregnant. I'd forgotten what an anxious time this is.

Hope everyone enjoyed their scans and all is well.

Emb540 · 24/01/2015 13:53

MZZZF where is it?? I can't find the thread? I love stuff like that.

Feel like I've been got by a bus, yesterday I didn't want to get out of bed, I'm just exhausted in bed by 8 really struggling on the energy front. And cold!! I'm normally success a warm blooded person, but I freezing all the time! Anyone else like it? X

mzzzf · 24/01/2015 16:21

And Emb - I feel exactly like that!!! It's shattering, I've been feeling like it since around 6/7 weeks, I'm now almost 13 weeks and still feeling it!

Emb540 · 24/01/2015 16:44

Success a warm blooded lol what was I try to say? I need to read back over before I post lol

Thanks :0) I don't remeber being like this with my other 2, I am wiped so drained. DH just keeps moaning at me moaning! Men seriously they have no idea. Love to swap a day with him!!! Xx

WestCountryLondonGirl · 24/01/2015 17:25

YES! I can emphasise with the feeling cold. I'm not normally a cold person and our flat tends to be so warm we never need to switch on the heating, but I swear I've had the heating on more in the past 8 weeks than we have in the last six years put together!

Scan week after next (3rd Feb) and I feel torn between being really excited and really scared. I've not had much in the way of symptoms so I have absolutely no idea what to expect. DH is pretty scared too. Just hope that everything's ok. It almost feels that things have gone too well so far!

Luciferbox · 24/01/2015 18:59

I thinking turning a corner. I managed to stay up until 10pm last night and today I've been blitzing the house. Sorting out stuff to giveaway to charity. I might be jinxing it but I think I've got some energy back.

Luciferbox · 24/01/2015 19:02

'I think I'm' even. Stupid new phone and fat fingers.

northernlassy24 · 24/01/2015 19:25

I have also been horribly cold, never usually like this. I have been climbing into bed fully clothed after work to warm up. Not normal behaviour! A nice hot bath warms me up and i put my pyjamas on the radiator so they are toasty when i get out. I think our bodies prioritises all our energy into making sure baby is happy x

otter32 · 24/01/2015 21:49

I'm a cold person anyway, but several times I've come in from work, lay down in front of the fire and fallen asleep! I thought the extra progesterone was supposed to make us warmer?!

Isabeau1980 · 25/01/2015 00:29

Oh otter32 it makes me warmer. I've always said that I have a broken thermostat but this is ridiculous. I'm normally a really cold creature.

I feel violently sick when I get too warm so 80% of the time when I'm at home I'm wearing my pyjamas (vest top and shorts) but I also have my fleece onesie next to me for when my temperature returns to normal. When I'm out and about I always wear layers so I just take off or put on as required.

Frolicacid · 25/01/2015 13:19

I'm feeling really cold all of the time as well! I'm one of those people who is always cold, but this is a whole new level. Heating is barely off and I'm wearing so many layers.

Hope everyone is doing ok. I'm having a really sucky day again and my energy levels are so low. Feeling a bit sorry for myself and so bored of vomitting and not eating proper meals.

LAM1 · 25/01/2015 14:28

Am back from holiday! Skiing wasn't great as the snow wasn't that good, went up on the first day far too icey so just didn't feel safe plus was knackered after a few hours. So didn't bother again till the last day when it had snowed overnight. Again only managed a few hours though. But a week off work in a lovely holiday was just what I needed. Felt rather refreshed until the journey home, massive delays and hardly any sleep last night so am back to feeling rubbish today.

Pleased to see mostly good news over the last week, more good scans! Mine is on Friday so am now counting down the days....I did spend a lot of time googling all sorts of baby stuff on holiday!

Back to work tomorrow, boo!!

SSSMITH87 · 25/01/2015 14:37

25th August 2015 is when I'm due. :)
How's everyone feeling at the moment?
Sam x

Dozygirl · 25/01/2015 16:03

Glad u had a a nice time lam but shame about the snow. At least u got one good day in. I'm gonna go for a long weekend in march But might not do much skiing as I might be a bit bigger then. Will have to see

Finished two night shifts this morning. First time I've done nights since being pregnant as I was off sick last time. They were really hard work. Felt so so tired. Back to day shift tomorrow. Hope I get my scan date soon!

11+2

Sparrowlegs248 · 25/01/2015 17:30

Anyone else waiting for the burst of energy that comes with the second trimester?! Is it true? I think its all made up. 13 + 1 now and shattered.

Augustwedding · 25/01/2015 17:48

I am 14 weeks tomorrow and knackered by 5 but managing to do a bit more during the day - some say the burst never comes!

I hope it does as the house is a tip, DH tries but i am itching to have a massive clear out whilst I can and he is not very good at throwing things away!

We have got our pram :) we said we would hold off until after the 20 week scan but we went to have a browse at an independent retailer and found the icandy strawberry for such a good deal we got it! we got the chasis and seat plus flavour pack. The carrycot and flavour pack, car seat adaptors, footmuff, cup holder, clamp and raincover for £510, RRP £810! My parents said they would pay so were chuffed at the bargin!

happygojo · 25/01/2015 17:50

I am suffering from weekend migraines at the mo, which SUCK! I mean there is never a good time to have a migraine but when you are pregnant and it is a weekend it is just not cricket! I am hoping they fade with the 2nd trimester but my mum lovingly told me that when she was preg with me she had them all the way through.... Joy! Anyone else having migraines or headaches? Only 8 sleeps til first scan and 11 weeks tomorrow and feel like I have been preg forever already! Hope eveyone who is feeling really sick starts to feel better soon xxx

Dozygirl · 25/01/2015 17:56

That is a good deal august! I have no idea what pram I want. I like them all haha. My parents also offered to buy the pram :)
