Hello everyone,

Its great to read of all your good scans! I cant wait til mine, its on Friday. Dozy I too have been worried totally freaking out about going to the scan and there being no baby, or the baby having stopped growing weeks ago or some other awful occurance. Its the perils of the internet, I never knew any of that could even happen til I found MN!

Still, the tiredness, nausea, the pains when I cough, sneeze, suddenly bend, are all reassuring i guess.

I don't have a 'bump' as such. I was at the fatter end of my usual range when I got my bfp which was annoying. But I weighed yesterday and am.2lbs down so was pleased about that. My sister got absolutely HUGE with her two stables(both bump and fat) and I am keen to avoid it!

11 + 3 today.

I've no bump to show yet, just a rounder belly but it's squidgy so defo not baby.

Nottalotta I was the same. I'd lost loads of weight in the summer and was down to my ideal size for conceiving and then the stress of ttc meant i comfort ate and put it all back on. Had started weightwatcher pre bfp and had lost half a stone but again I've put all that back on because of Xmas and nausea making me eat starchy things. Ah well, need to start up an exercise regime otherwise it's gonna get worse.

Loving the bump pics! Those of you with bumps already, are these your 2nd babies?

My tummy and waist look thicker but I wouldn't say I've got a bump yet, more of a paunch! Will post a pic soon.

Otter and Daisy - I've been having exactly that! Sharp muscular pains either side of my lower tummy when I stand up, get out of a car etc...can be v painful but is reassuring!

I was up all night last night with a sick bug (V&D) that I caught from my best friend on Thurs. Have spent all day in my PJs and am now in bed. I don't know how those of you with morning sickness cope!!

Seems my news has started spreading around work now so pretty much everyone knows I can imagine. I liked telling people myself though.

And yes to the pains. Especially when I stand up quickly. It's a really sharp pain. Think it's ligament pain.

Yes, it's a private scan. It cost £90, but I figured I would have drank that much at least on a few christmas nights out had I not been pg, so we decided to go for it.
I'm impatient and a control freak according to my sister!! I'm also slightly paranoid about twins as there are a fair few sets amongst the women on my dad's side.

Good job I have the pregnancy exhaustion or I wouldn't be sleeping tonight.

Yes, it's my second baby. But I always carry higher up than most. I usually have a flat tummy so to have a hard round pot belly is a bit alien to me! I seem to show early but slow down, I had to go for extra scans with DD as my bump was measuring small after 30wks.

I can't wait to get a bump, I feel a bit like a fraud without one!

Bought my first baby product!! A snugglebundl. Never heard of it before but it came through on a mum and baby email and had 20% off so had a Google at reviews and seemed a good product. I know it'll be pretty warm when our babies first arrive but it'll soon be getting cold and it lasts till about 6 months so should get some use out of it.

I will not be adding a bump photo since my bump has been there since ds and dd were born lol. Im only 9+1 now. Maybe later on when I have a proper bump.

Frolic good luck at your scan and enjoy it. Mine was over in a flash. I could have watched the screen for hours if I'd been allowed to.

Just popping in quickly to say that the scan was brilliant!! Tiny jellybean with a strong heartbeat. Phew!!!
We're off now to tell my parents and mil. Arrghhh! So bloody relieved!

No bump pic from me yet, my tummy isn't as flat as it should be but that's podge not baby bump! Although I have miraculously lost a couple if pounds, how I don't know as I have been eating soooo many carbs!

I'd post a bump pic but I'm pretty sure mine is all fat at the moment.

Had my midwife appointment last week, they were lovely apart from they couldn't find a vein to bloods so spent ages stabbing my arm with a needle! Amazed they got me in for a scan relatively quickly - on Friday when I'll be 12+3. Mad to think originally my booking in apt was for when I was 13weeks!

Only slight concern was that they want to test me each visit for gestational diabetes. My BMI (oh how I hate that measuring system!!) has creeped to 30. I'm 6ft tall so I carry it well and wouldn't class myself as anywhere bear obese but that's what the figures say. :(

I don't eat to excess and am fairly healthy most of the time - I don't fancy my usual weekly pizza treat anymore! Eating healthy lunches and cooking from scratch at home.

Anyway, I'm still fretting about Fridays scan, although I've had two so far and all was fine. If it's all ok the next big job for me and DP is to work where the heck were going to live! In Hackney right now which I love but there's no way we can afford rent on one wage even though his pay is quite good. I work in a charity so it my wage would all be eaten by child care, and we'd like me to stay at home for a few years.

Got my eye on South Manchester as I love it there too, but it's a wrench to leave friends and no idea if DP can transfer. I do not want to end up in some boring commuter town with him paying £5k to solute for 3 hours! Might just have to make the big move. Anyone here in Manchester? Or London?!

Oh I meant to say, no real bump for me yet but I did go to the Jojo Maman bebe near me to get a few maternity tops in the huge sale they have on. Was amazed to see in the dressing room a fake bump to tie around you while you try things on! Had a wee go but to be honest I'd be very concerned if my actual bump looked anything like that.

Sorry you're going through that stress shantoto. I guess just see it as extra checks and they aren't likely to find anything from you being so tall anyway. Don't let them stress you out more. I'm in North manchester

Scan on Wed for me when I'll be 12+3. Excited and scared. And suffering with nausea at the moment. Seems to have got a lot worse since I hit 11 weeks.

I've been watching One Born Every Minute. Never watched it before. To be honest, it's scaring the crap out of me! Haha. Eek.

It can only be a good thing shan that they are keeping an eye on you. It can't hurt and its best to know. Given your height its unlikely it will come to much. I am 5"7 and quite muscly and my bmi is 28 i think. I also 'carry it well' its such a misleading test.

Had a really emotional evening yesterday, by time DH came in i was overdue to eat, tired and weepy. Cried. A lot. He is being really good. I must tell him actually. I think this might be the making of him! (we've had 'issues' in the past)

My bmi has creeped to 32, I put on 1.5 stone with my last preg/mc and then I moved house. I didnt expect to fall pg so quickly (1st month TTC) so I am now panicking about my booking in tomorrow in case they say it will be a problem. I am a size 14-16 and quite... Erm dense. Considering getting permission to do SW off the MW tomorrow. I have lost 5lbs since falling pg, just need to keep an eye on it I guess

I swear girls I have convinced myself it's twins!! I can feel it wriggling and all now. If I didn't have so many neg tests I swear I was further along.
Just want my scan now to put my mind at rest.
