Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 19th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 36th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Ok so thoroughly confused Confused why can't it be one rule?

Also I have no idea if I have to give blood and/or pee sample this time.

I shall compromise and go with a half full bladder Grin

TheBooMonster · 06/01/2015 10:58

fleur they generally only need a sample if you're also seeing a consultant.

cookielove · 06/01/2015 11:14

I once had a consultant appointment that was pushed back so late that my 3hr car parking ticket ran out and I still hadn't been seen! I found out from one of the midwives that one of the fathers in an earlier appointment had become very aggressive and security had been called which had delayed everything! Shock

ZylaB · 06/01/2015 11:18

At my hospital you take a pee sample every time, regardless of who you're seeing. It's weird they're not consistent.

LaLa5 · 06/01/2015 11:28

I am so thick. Just worked out I have 181 days left at work minus bank hol. Couldn't work out why it was so high!

Duh...I hadn't taken out weekends..

ChatEnOeuf · 06/01/2015 11:32

I had to take/give a pee sample every time too - but at all my scans I saw the docs too. The full bladder thingy for early scans is just to try and elevate your womble to make it easier to see stuff. As scanners have gotten better, the need for this has diminished (so says my techno-obsessed obstetrician).

Boo My DH is the same. You'll be pleased to know he's even done the same thing here, where it's not the NHS so he can't even blame the 'lazy public sector mentality' Hmm

La, welcome to the Baby Brain phenomenon Grin

Pisghetti · 06/01/2015 11:34

Ha! Should that be 'super thick'? Sorry I know I should be working instead of reading AIBU.... Bet that revised figure made you feel better though Smile

30 days to go! And four pretty major projects to start/finish before I have 13 days to go! Fuuuuuuck!

LaLa5 · 06/01/2015 11:35

115!

willywallace · 06/01/2015 11:36

It is weird. We only take samples to mw apps and some clinic appointments but not all. I have often turned up with a random sample they don't need.

teejayem · 06/01/2015 11:58

I sympathise Fleur - wtf is it with menfolk 'wanting to change' before appts!? Mr Tee has done this twice to me - I asked him if he was planning on changing into a nicer human being (totally unwarranted, but it's not like he works on a bloody oil rig and needed to waste the time...)
My Scans have been a mix of wee and non wee - First one was full bladder - my ninja scan after bleed they didn't specify, private scan was no full bladder and my 20 week says drink 1/2 pint beforehand, so who knows.... I do know that my bladder control is not what it was, and when she was pressing down on my womble at the gender scan I thought I was going to evacuate my hastily consumed coca cola...
pis! that's no time at all! omg!! Envy

I've recalculated and factoring in my working from home days (Which I've finally managed to negotiate after clearly looking like a woman on the edge after today's commute) I am down to...71 more office days....

I just ate a whole packet of Jaffa cakes at my desk. everyone here is still 'detoxing' hee hee!

I have preggo Rhino too La. I woke myself up snoring last night with it Blush

ZylaB · 06/01/2015 12:12

Maybe the menfolk's getting changed is because they see a scan or appointment as a 'big event' and it feels like a special occasion?

DH has started getting upset he can't make it to all my appointments (bear in mind I WAS seeing consultants every 2 weeks for a while when they worried over my sugars being too low, and now I'm getting growth scans every 4 weeks, soon to be changing to every 2 weeks). Bless him. I said it wasn't an issue him coming yet, he came to 12 and 20 week scans and some consultant appointments in between. I want him to start coming from 36 weeks cow that's when it's more likely they may whip me in.

I do think they just see it as a big event!

teejayem · 06/01/2015 12:21

ah Zyla I think you're right (I've got the preg rage today....) I think Mr T likes to make a good impression, especially after all our friends that have had babies told him that the hospital would ask me if he was domestically violencing me, and I think he likes to give off the impression to the MW that he isn't. Turns out they didn't, but he still likes to look nice. Spose it's a bit like me epilating my alarmingly newly hairy stomach before scans...

Fleurchamp · 06/01/2015 12:38

tee I waxed my stomach this morning. I was shocked at the hairy ness!!

I think you're right DH wants to look like a good dad. Although he wears a suit to work Confused men are odd.

He read my book and saw the questions about DV and is your partner the baby's father. He was quite bemused!

teejayem · 06/01/2015 12:52

In my book Fleur they asked if we were blood relatives and if our baby was wanted.
Sooo glad it's not just me with Yeti tummy :(

Pisghetti · 06/01/2015 12:54

I had mine waxed a few weeks ago when having a bikini wax. I'm seriously hairy at the moment Confused

DulcetMoans · 06/01/2015 13:38

I got both those questions in booking in. She said they ask even if the Dad is there and they have had people admit that they are in a domestic violence situation with the partner there! Its probably better they ask but I just wonder how many people would use it as an opportunity to say. Then again, if you can get one to admit it and get support its probably worth it.

115 is a much better number la, when does that take you up to? I estimated mine on leaving two weeks before due date.

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 06/01/2015 14:20

Hi hi,

Hurrah for all the old faces with new names. It's like I never went away awol !

Popz 3 years ago (while on frigging honeymoon!) I had a call to say my smear was severely abnormal and I needed to go in right away, I was halfway around the world at the time but the day after we got back I went in and to cut a v long and grisly story short, it took 3 years and umpteen procedures to get the bad cells as there were stacks of them. This all resulted in my cervix being so mangled that it scarred itself shut, which was just great. I didn't have a period for 6 months before anyone would listen to me and do anything, when they did operate they were staggered that I was still functioning. Anyway, they fixed it, it's scarred beyond recognition apparently, but it's not shut, and I managed to get upduff without IVF which they told me probably wouldn't happen, so thats a gigantic and frankly amazing bonus! All that remains now is for said mangled cervix (I think she wrote mulitated on my notes at the last check up!) to stand up to the task in hand. I have been referred for scans on it to make sure it will hold the pregancy and if there is any doubt then they'll sew it up! Whether or not it will be up to giving birth I won't know until it comes to it but I'm trying to be optimistic! Sorry that ended up being a long story after all. Blush

laure yay, you have given me hope that I'll get a second wind and that skipping out the stable of the worlds tidiest OCD horse will soon become a simple task again! There have been times this week when I've fancied curling up in the shavings for a little kip. I'm still riding but not going to force myself to keep it up for long. I'll just see how I go. Sorry to hear you fell off while pg, that must have been quite frightening.

lala yay, another horse owner! Sorry to hear your boy is out on loan. No-one would have mine, he's a miserable old git, I bloody love him! Grin

Sorry to hear everyone is having work nightmares. I'm dreading all that when it comes to it as we don't have a great record in that dept sadly as its a v male dominated company. Hopefully they will surprise me.

Re the 'glow' I'm only 7 weeks and feeling utter shite. Had 10 hours sleep, yes 10 hours last night and still felt like I'd only just got into bed when the alarm went off this morning. Really hope I feel more human at some point before August.

I had to go for blood test this morning ahead of booking in next week and they told me I needed to provide pee sample each time I went from now until delivery, and guess what, I forgot to take a sample pot home with me. Duh.

Also worked out I have 145 days at work left? I think I must have added up wrong. That doesn't include hols though. Snore.

lildottie · 06/01/2015 14:45

popz she puts mustard seeds into my ear with tape to press on acupressure points.

wil re her being wacko see above! Oh, and the fact that when she goes to wash her hands she does everything else and takes 15-30 minutes over it!

dulcet problem is she's booked me in for appointments right up until 21st January!! I need to text her back today. I'm just going to go with money. And just text so i don't have to face her!!

fleur can you just say hospital appointment? then tell them about pg after todays so they have to let you out thursday? they don't have to know they are both scans do they?

lauren good luck with scan

lildottie · 06/01/2015 14:45

Oh, i've missed a page... back i go to read it!

JuniDD · 06/01/2015 14:59

I didn't get asked about domestic violence til DD was 6 weeks old!! MrJ was at every appt too.

Hope scans went well xx

teejayem · 06/01/2015 15:05

I haven't bothered waxing my foof for ages, but I am missing patches when I shave now (I cant see, it hurts to bend over like a contortionist to get to the fiddly bits) I just hate the 2 weeks of bristly foof you have to have before waxing... that said, ALL my hair is growing at a rate of knots (Inc grey roots, sob) so maybe it won't be too bad.

TheBooMonster · 06/01/2015 15:33

www.timeanddate.com/date/duration.html# found a calculator for working out the days to go, you can tell it to only include work days (i assume that only works if you work 5 days a week though.

LaLa5 · 06/01/2015 15:34

Lil definitely money!

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 06/01/2015 15:41

Boo that calculator says I've got 162 work days left! Shock

Though I will have to take all 28 of hol in that time too, which leaves 134 days. Goodness knows where I got 145 from.

I'll forget about it for now and then when I think about it again loads of time will have flown by. Must not wish life away

Pisghetti · 06/01/2015 15:43

I didn't mind rocking a 'fro in my pants for a little while as I couldn't see it! DP prefers a '70s do so didn't mind at all.

I'm trying to wrap my brain around bank holidays. Contractually, I get an annual leave entitlement (of greater than the stat minimum) plus BHs. There seems to be all sorts of conflicting advice online about whether I can get BHs that fall during my mat leave period back as leave. In which case, I'd have five more days to play with.... Need a chat with HR I think.
