Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 19th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 36th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Totally derailing, but has anyone got a star wrap? I know they are a bit pricey, but I've been on here tuppenceandcrumble.com/shop/index.php?route=common/home and I love all the bright ones.

RPopz · 06/01/2015 16:12

I LOVE THEM Tee - would have bought one before but was wait to see what flavour minipopz would be! Contemplating a turquoise one Smile

RPopz · 06/01/2015 16:13

I don't know if it's different for different employers Pis but I still accrue bank holidays while on Mat leave. Its a new thing this year though apparently.

teejayem · 06/01/2015 16:22

I love the turquoise one too, and the orange Popz

Pisghetti · 06/01/2015 16:27

Awww how cute are they!!

Thanks Popz. It looks like there was a change in the law a while back (2008 or 2009?) on holidays but it was interpreted differently by different employers and the legalities of it weren't clear. Deffo worth a chat with HR in that case!

RPopz · 06/01/2015 16:33

They definitely don't volunteer the information Pis! I only knew cos another colleague was going on mat leave at the same time and she told me. I would've never even have thought of it.

RPopz · 06/01/2015 16:35

My fave is the Heather one Tee. I think it's a bit girly though unfortunately.

cookielove · 06/01/2015 17:10

I don't have a star wrap buy do have loads of blankets and there are two that live in the car that are for his carseat.

I was asked about domestic abuse in my first pregnacy (mmc) but not with Elijah.

Oh and the sleep thing never gets better. Elijah only woke at 3.30 this am and I still feel half asleep!

willywallace · 06/01/2015 17:20

Sneaky buggers employers.

We have a Morckk which is a similar type of thing except it's for a buggy. They are very cute though. I really want a nice soft baby blanket of some kind.

Essie that sounds really stressful, hope all is ok.

I am surrounded by baby clothes. It's ridiculous how much stuff MiniWil had.

KatoPotato · 06/01/2015 17:24

There's no way I'm having 'tuppence and crumble' coming up on my bank statement!

Gah, hope you're all good. I'm mega pissed off at work. I only work p/t so only 43 days to go though!

They've stopped my training allowance, that training that was stopped following my pg risk assessment! Think it's dodgy, need to get advice.

LaLa5 · 06/01/2015 17:36

That's cute tee!

Rotten day here - wind/sore stomach all day which scares me to death and then just spoke to my loaner who wants to either give my horse back or I sell him to her. Apparently I'm too involved, she doesn't feel like he's hers at all (he's not but I know what she means) and she is getting too attached to him so either wants me to take him back now or sell him. I'm 3 months pregnant, can't afford him just now, can't exercise him if he comes back and have nowhere to put him anyway and I have no one to help me with him. So I don't really have a choice. She loves him to bits and he's well cared for (pampered) on yard with masses of grazing and hot water. If I were to take him back is have to pay livery and services (expensive!) whilst looking for another loaner.

What a shitty situation :(

I love him but I think I'm going to have to be sensible

KatoPotato · 06/01/2015 17:39

Sorry La, what a brat

Can you call her bluff? Sounds a bit precious to me? Why does it have to be all or nothing?

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 06/01/2015 17:43

Kato hmmm that does sounds a bit sus, what is it you do that means you are a risk now you are pg?

willy yes it was a bit stressful, but to be honest I didn't realise how much it had got to me til I finally got the all clear in Sept and then I felt soooo much better.

Those star thingys are super cute. I'm not allowing myself to even window shop til 12 week scan though.

I am seriously struggling without runny eggs and brie.

DulcetMoans · 06/01/2015 17:45

Can he live in the garden and eat left overs la? Not a nice decision for you. If you sold could you still see him occasionally?

Our place accrues bank holiday on mat leave too pis so do ask. Again, it wasn't offered but my friend found out about it and pushed HR and found an extra week of leave they weren't going to give her!

That does sound dodgy kato. Can you ask them about it?

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 06/01/2015 17:46

La, sorry to hear that, it's a really hard situation to be in, but does sound like he has a fantastic home with his loaner. Can imagine it will be heartbreaking to sell him though. Will you be able to keep in touch? Is he near enough for you to visit? Nuts how much it's possible to love a horse isn't it!

ZylaB · 06/01/2015 17:58

la sorry to hear that about your horse, not an easy decision to make, I know. I stressed for ages when I sold my girl!

Having a shitty shit day! Had mw appointment this afternoon, got results from my 28 week bloods which were all good and normal, my last hba1c which tells you sugars for diabetes over about a 10 week period was super low and well into the range for a non diabetic at 34 (5.3% in old money if anyone understands this stuff) so yay for that!! Baby is measuring a couple of weeks ahead, but that's just on the tape measure which I know isn't that reliable and I have a proper growth scan next week.....but.... My bfp is high. She redid it 3 times and just be worried cos they're coming to see me at home on Thursday to do it again!

I text my SIL and she said to get them to check for protein in urine on Thursday too, I'm so scared of it being pre eclampsia, as I know I'm higher risk for this....it's too early, she can't come yet!!

So now I'm worrying, am going to pack hospital bags tonight/ tomorrow :(

Everyone said not to panic, but how am I meant to not?!

RPopz · 06/01/2015 18:04

La that is shitty. Sounds like she's taking advantage of you a bit tbh Sad Hope you can find a workable solution x

ZylaB · 06/01/2015 18:12

bp not bfp

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 06/01/2015 18:17

Zyla thats crap, I'm sorry to hear that. Of course you are going to worry. Can they not run a urine test ASAP tomorrow? Seems a bit unnecessary to wait til Thurs to find BP still high at home and then run the urine test?

Fleurchamp · 06/01/2015 18:39

I did not know about bank holidays. Thanks ladies!!

couldhavebeenme · 06/01/2015 18:47

Well I counted and have 35 days left in office minus a few days leave I need to use (I do also do some work from home which I'm not counting as full days!) woohoo! Im part time so fewer days work. But loads of work I need to get done first...

La that's a pain about your horse - if I were you I would sell tbh. Mine thinks he's been retired I think! But at least being turned away means no difficult decisions while I'm off.

We also accrue BHs while on mat leave so definitely check this out (I forgot who mentioned it)

willywallace · 06/01/2015 18:57

La that's crap. You don't know anyone else who would have him on loan?

BP could have been high for lots of reasons Zyla. I don't want to add to your annoyance by saying try not to worry but maybe more think that there's no point stressing before you know the outcome. Good idea to prepare yourself for hospital but you've done so well with your sugars and everything, try to focus on that. How many weeks are you?

I got advice on how to produce a urine sample today as they think I must be contaminating my own sample accidentally. Tres embarrassing. So have yet another one to hand in. Although not sure why as it doesn't really matter if I go into labour at this point.

Fleurchamp · 06/01/2015 19:01

Had a bit of a google and, although my holiday entitlement is the standard 28 days inc bank hols we also close the office over Xmas and new year, it's paid leave too. The way I read it, I should also accrue holiday leave for that time also.
Will definitely need to inform my boss, she will not have a clue.

Pisghetti · 06/01/2015 19:02

Eek Zyla I'd say don't worry in as much as they've picked it up as a potential issue and are keeping an eye on you now. Hope it's just a blip.

Oh La that's horrible. Didn't you have some concerns about how she's looking after him anyway? Any chance you could start looking for another loaner ASAP to minimise the changeover time?

Wow Essie that's quite a saga! Great to hear you've eventually had the all clear!

Great to hear a few positive stories about BHs! I've finally had my letter from HR which just states what my pay will be and gives an end date of mat leave assuming I'll take the full year (which I can't afford Sad). I'll confirm in writing that I intend to return after 39 weeks and also confirm (for the benefit of payroll) my annual leave dates including BH accrual. Need to let my boss know too. It would be useless talking to him about it - he's not an HR specialist and is new to the country so can hardly be expected to know the ins and outs of UK employment law! - but he is newly keen to make sure some sort of handover takes place (although to whom remains a mystery....). All my projects have an end date of 31st Jan so technically going a week earlier won't affect my work. OMG 5 weeks to go!!!

ZylaB · 06/01/2015 19:19

Essie the midwife never even mentioned it, my SIL is an obstetrician and it's her who told me to make sure I get my urine tested!

wil I'm 31+4 at the moment.

Yeah, I'm hoping it's just randomly high blood pressure and not pre eclampsia, thanks for the kind words though
