Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 19th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 36th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Found you Grin

Congratulations deeply!

DP got up with DD this morning so I could have a lie in, he's done some housework too while I've been asleep so is in the brownie points again! I had an awful dream about this baby though- they can't hear/ see your dreams right?!

couldbeanyone · 04/01/2015 11:02

Hi all

Congratulations deeply

DulcetMoans · 04/01/2015 11:20

Morning all!!

Welcome deeply! Nervous few weeks ahead but we will help where we can!!

Hope you get out soon popz! Start getting into your own routines at home.

Told the parents yesterday so it is out. Feel more risky now everything is out there but im not going to get anymore confirmation than I already have.

Anyway, watching Lego movie so everything is awesome!

Minion · 04/01/2015 11:23

Everything is cool when you're part of a team!
Sorry, forgot to welcome deeply! Hi!
Blooming newborns, cute but I'm having to learn to do everything with my left hand!
Mning takes an age!

willywallace · 04/01/2015 11:26

Get a sling Min?

Glad you've told people Dulcet? are they excited?

I can't move today without feeling as if I'm going to pee myself Blush .

willywallace · 04/01/2015 11:27

Ignore the extraneous question mark.

deeplybaffled · 04/01/2015 11:43

Thanks for the welcome, everyone.
Got a gp appointment on Friday to get the ante natal bit started, so hoping it might make me feel more secure once it is "official"! Not told anyone in real life yet, so this thread could be a lifeline :)

LaLa5 · 04/01/2015 11:49

Aww it's so nice that you're now able to tell people Dulcet, it's nice to have people to get excited with. At the bells on hogmanay it was lovely - I was the only sober one but everyone was so lovely, giving me hugs and saying 'you're going to be a mummy this year!'. Their excitement made me more excited about it :)

Min - must be weird having a wee one on you constantly! I've just arranged to buy one of those swing/rockers on Facebook - £35 (they are about £99 new). My friends whose babies like them swear by them for being able to put baby down for a few minutes. Some babies hate them but I'm hoping mine won't! I know it's a bit daft buying stuff before Friday's scan but I saw it and thought it was too much of a bargain to not snap up.

I feel very virtuous today. I think my nesting's kicked in - I've cleaned whole house, washing on, cat fountain scrubbed out completely, ordered replacement dinner pieces from Debenhams (we have one of their sets and just order more when pieces get chipped or broken). We've made a list of everything to do before the baby so I'm feeling quite organised and happy (makes my OCD happy to make lists!).

We're picking up shopping at 2pm and I'm really stupidly excited about having rubber gloves because then I'm going to use Gaggia's baking soda recipe to have a go at the grouting in the bathroom. How sad am I!?

Dh won't let me go to Mothercare until after the scan next week, he's more sensible than me.

I don't think we will get away without doing a Facebook announcement. A couple of folk have already guessed and messaged me - there was a photo put up of me from NYE where you can see the outline of my baby bump if you look really really hard. I thought I'd got away with it...damn. I am not a big fan of Fbk announcements but I want to be able to look and comment on adverts for baby stuff on these groups and I'm too scared to do it at the moment in case it outs me.

Just need to get through Friday's scan...very nervous.

Speaking of scans - Tee how did you get on today?

laurenamium · 04/01/2015 13:23

I have carpet moth larvae Confused and the bed we've bought for DD has come broken and without the fittings...I'm itching all over and hoovering like a crazy person! Urgh

willywallace · 04/01/2015 14:21

How did you get them Lauren? We had something similar in a uni flat. Freaked me right out. We killed them with chemicals but had to stay away for the night.

Have you tried antihistamines La? The nasal sprays quite often give you rebound congestion so with a bit of luck it may actually lessen now you're not using it.

I feel like I've been up all night - ridiculously knackered. Have partly packed my hospital bag though which is a minor step forward. Bought some newborn sleepsuits but didn't realise someone had given me some. Hope I don't have a giant baby or I'll never need them.

Pisghetti · 04/01/2015 15:03

Maybe baby has engaged Wil?

Can you remember at what point the MW can assess which way the baby is lying? With DS I'm sure she used to tell me where the bottom and head were fairly confidently for ages but I'm wondering if it was actually only the last few appointments? None of the midwives I've seen so far have mentioned it.

laurenamium · 04/01/2015 15:08

I have no idea wil they're a fairly new edition though as its not been long since I moved DDs room around and they weren't there then! I would like to avoid chemicals if possible because of the children coming during the day and DD. So I've hoovered the whole of her room, under my bed, under my wardrobes etc. I still have the front room to do when I've finished putting DDs room back together but I don't think they've made it to there yet! Nightmare!

Fleurchamp · 04/01/2015 15:38

Hi all!

I haven't joined any baby things yet, just in case, but will definitely do the Boots one. Like the sound of the changing bag, I need one that will be ok for DH to take out.

We drove out to a forest today and did an 8 mile walk. First time in ages that I haven't felt too tired did fall asleep in the car on the way home though. Felt so good to do some activity.
I have also received an email from my yoga teacher, she is going to start a pregnancy yoga class next week as she has enough interested parties. Hurrah!

It's double scan week this week. Feeling nervous again especially as I feel almost back to my old self, the tiredness is definitely lessening.

After the second scan I have to pass john lewis to get home - I shall be dragging DH in there for a browse if all is well Grin

WigglyBraddins · 04/01/2015 16:14

Hello viroids I'm back! Happy New Year to you all and I hope you had the most wonderful Christmas.

Sorry I disappeared. I basically had an internal melt down about the two previous mcs and having so few symptoms compared with my pregnancy with DS and about my scan date having been moved so I had to block out all thoughts of pregnancy. I also was so busy at work that all I was doing was working and sleeping. Even a colleague commented on how exhausted I was looking. But, we had our 12 week scan on 23rd Dec and all was fine and as I suspected I was 14 weeks so have a due date of 23rd June...is that the same as you chat? The sonographer was good too. DH is 6ft6 and I'm 5ft8 and I asked if that would make a difference to the measurements even at 14 weeks. She said a midwife would say no but in her experience it does and she'd taken account of that.

So I'm still tires but otherwise fine and had to buy maternity wear for work on Friday and put on my maternity jeans this morning (although that may all be due to excessive quantities of stollen and mince pies). How are all of you?

Congratulations deeply Grin

WigglyBraddins · 04/01/2015 16:15

Ps does anyone have more than one bay in their bump that they know of? This bump is definitely just the one.

willywallace · 04/01/2015 16:33

Great news Wiggly. Hope work gets a bit easier from now on.

Pis pretty sure midwives can tell from fairly early on. I can't remember when I got told mine was transverse - 26/28 weeks maybe? Just ask at next app I reckon.

Just had a lovely nap. Made the most of MrWil's last day off. Probably struggle to sleep tonight but could not function.

teejayem · 04/01/2015 18:20

Add me to the Blue team, Tiny Tee is a boy! Everything looked good, I drank a coke before we went in and he was just there, hanging out in breech, having a good wiggle, hand in front of face. It's alarming just how big he is compared to the last detailed scan I had - they didn't show me much when I had the scan when I thought I was m/cing. Anyway, huge relief, I will be wildly Pinteresting tonight and at last I can call my bump something other than 'the squish' Smile

ZylaB · 04/01/2015 19:09

Grats tee I'm glad it was a good scan :)

ZylaB · 04/01/2015 19:10

wiggly yay for another good scan there too! Grin

LaLa5 · 04/01/2015 19:54

Fab day for scans, congratulations tee and wiggly! So pleased that you both feel better as a result

Fleur good luck for yours this week. I'll be your scanxiety twin, mines on Friday. Wish I could fast forward time

Lauren carpet moth larvae - ewwww...I'm sure there are biological ways of dealing with them, worth googling

LaLa5 · 04/01/2015 19:56

Ill update stats once this weeks over in case our due dates change

splodge77 · 04/01/2015 20:04

congrats teejay and welcome, deeply. Went to see a friend with a high maintenance 4 month old today. eek! gave me the fear about managing two kiddos. I was planning on cutting back DS's nursery hours over the summer to save money but am now a bit scared heh heh! What a wuss. Here's how we (cryptically) announced our pregnancy on facebook over xmas. DP is the cartoonist! (and now you sort of know what I look like - ha ha)

DulcetMoans · 04/01/2015 21:49

Great news tee and wiggly! Were you able to get the tests done at 14 wks wiggly, if you were going to anyway? Hope you can feel a bit more relaxed now - both of you!! I need to get some Pinterest sorted too tee, great way to waste some time!

Do we HAVE to go to work tomorrow? I feel my holiday was stolen by illness and I can't bring myself to care about my job!
