Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 19th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 36th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Yeah Popz, you really have to get them to agree as close to the birth as possible because that way they still feel bad after watching you go through all that shit. That's pretty much how I got my way. I'm not sure we'll ever agree this time, especially if we have a girl. Can you both agree to veto each other's choices and choose a third one?

LaLa5 · 05/01/2015 18:44

Hi all! Quick one as I'm about to have tea. Hi essie lovely to see you here and congratulations! I'm another horse owner, but my beautiful boy is out on loan during my pregnancy (sob!).

Tee I'm going to read back through later coz I don't quite understand and think I need to coz you're doing same as I'll be trying to do with leave tacked onto start and end of mat.

Popz I love all those names! Hope you can agree soon.

Babyla is causing arse rain to return today. Made work a bit touch and go!

TheBooMonster · 05/01/2015 18:53

wil that sounds shockingly like my pretty changing bag tactic with DH! Having seen my Haemorrhage he was willing to let me have anything to thank me for not dying, so the bag I'd been begging him for for almost 4 months was suddenly on the cards along with a purse all the way from America. Now he's just sort of given up and wearily hands me the credit card every time I say "I want..." he's screwed for when the girls get big enough to say it...

ZylaB · 05/01/2015 19:02

pis thanks to that link I've just emailled work to tell them they haven't written to confirm my mat leave, or that I'll get SMP. Is is after I've been asking for months for them to confirm my pay amounts during diff stages of mat leave and they haven't. I've just pointed out they aren't following government guidelines and threatened to get my Union involved if they don't answer me!

teejayem · 05/01/2015 19:21

God workplaces are shit aren't they!? And I keep reading that careers are being put before babies by more and more women.. It's not surprising when it's made so bloody difficult.!!
Agree boo work are being incredibly shady, unfortunately I'm not surprised. Pregnancy is viewed as a nusciance & Working mums are very much tolerated not welcomed, which in this day and age I think is pretty sad. It's surprising what large corporate companies get away with..

I have a date with a lush bath bomb as Mr Tee is away still! Looking forward to a good soak and some AIBU :)

Pisghetti · 05/01/2015 19:30

I haven't had mine confirmed in writing yet - apparently everyone in HR has seen this mystical letter but no one knows where it is!

TheBooMonster · 05/01/2015 19:34

I have a plan which involves phoning the job centre when it hits 5 weeks from me having handed the form in (am i right in thinking the date the form is handed in is on the back of the matb1 form or have i gone doo-lally?) and saying that i need to get a MA1 form but I am worried about how I apply for MA as my work are holding my MATB1 and SMP1 forms hostage until I go on maternity leave in the vain hope that they'll be able to give my work a kick up the ass (or know someone who can who is far scarier than me) BAH! Where oh where did my precious Oil and Vinegar go :( They followed all the rules I gave them... mourns for my old place of work

willywallace · 05/01/2015 19:50

God this is making me feel good that I don't work for a business. What a pain in the ass for you all. Ooh must try that for this labour Boo. Which do you think, diamond or holiday? Wink

ZylaB · 05/01/2015 19:50

Oh, apart from workplaces being rubbish.... Something else I thought of - will I have a mw visit before baby comes, or HV or something? And what do they look for??!

ZylaB · 05/01/2015 19:54

With regards to names... When DH and I were organising getting married, I had a blip about taking his surname dos his DB had made some comments about it (you know what it is from facebook :) ) but he's a bit old fashioned and wanted me to take his name, and I wanted us and future kids to have same surname, so we came to a compromise/agreement- I took his surname (which doesn't bother me now I'm used to it) but we agreed I got final say on baby names!!

Now I wouldn't pick anything he didn't like, but was still nice to know lol. (Luckily he loves Hannah as much as I do, but it's still nice to wield the power!!) Wink

JuniDD · 05/01/2015 20:19

Hey zyla! I didn't get a visit bit it seems to vary from person to person. An NCT lady has the same HV and got a pre-birth visit, I didn't! Different GP surgeries though.

boo I'm owed a ring (my mum thinks engagement. Sorry mum!) My fingers are still fat so unsure whether to go for it in large and get a clip or wait to see if, and how much, I shrink back. I am really missing my rings though. Sad. I had tiny hands before.

ZylaB · 05/01/2015 20:22

Hey juni :)

willywallace · 05/01/2015 20:25

That's a good deal Zyla. I should try pulling that seeing as we're not married so i have a different name from anyone else.

Are you not interested in getting married Juni? We periodically get hassle from family but I don't think I'm bothered to be honest.

willywallace · 05/01/2015 20:26

Oh also, we don't get a visit from anyone until you're home from hospital with the baby. Midwives come for so many days and then changes to Health Visitor. They have never taken any interest in anything other than me and the baby.

ZylaB · 05/01/2015 20:40

Thanks guys :)

Another question, when did your kicks change? I'm 31+3 and for the last couple of weeks I've not had big hard kicks, more like elbows and feet pushing. I'm assuming this is all normal as she runs out of space?

And thanks thanks thanks for everyone helping and answering, you've all made life a lot better having others to talk to who have been there :)

willywallace · 05/01/2015 20:47

Totally normal but I couldn't tell you when it happened. As long as you are still feeling the same patterns of movements all is well.

ZylaB · 05/01/2015 21:13

Yeah patterns are the same, I just don't like these movements as much, they're uncomfy sometimes! Grin

We went to the rugby again yesterday and she went mental again, DH thinks she's a supporter already, I think the noise disturbs her lol

JuniDD · 05/01/2015 21:16

zyla I wanted to make some witty comment about my name and your DD's but...fail. Here, the mw keeps coming til the stump is off. A record 17 days for us, be warned! (likely due to the antibiotics)

wil, no not much interest in marriage for me. Lots of reasons but not for me, really. Will probably have to at some point for security but won't tell anyone! Wink Wink Wink

LaLa5 · 05/01/2015 21:24

Hey all. Right read through now. Oh hang on, I've forgotten what I was commenting on.

Hmmm....

Ok - bad days - yes! It was such a pishy day at work today, everyone was having a good moan about being 'back after christmas' but I was bloody in last week! So I was just having my usual 'it's Monday' moan.

Splodge and Chat - love the announcements!

pis aww is it nice to have him back at last?

I just watched a few travel system demo videos. I'm so confused about the whole thing, how the heck do you decide? We have to use the car so much it's going to have to be a travel system. My mum's now jumped on the bandwagon and is enthusiastically texting me whilst watching videos. Apparently the uppababy vista one is 'wow!'. She says she'll contribute to buying buggy (damn - I thought she'd buy the whole bloody thing, foiled!)

RM, could and wiggly - fantastic to see you all and hear everything's ok, I was wondering how you guys were.

I've got proper cramps today, nothing bad just lots of twinges. Wind or stretching, can't decide. Actually after all the pumping I've done today I'm sure it must be wind. Stupid baked potato at lunch...

It's amazing the amount of folk who ask if I know whether I'm having a boy or girl yet. I'm only 12+3!

Dh has just run around house madly hanging pictures. If I sit still long enough I'm going to get sticky things put on me and I'll be put up on the wall.

willywallace · 05/01/2015 21:34

La I would pick maybe 2 or 3 you like the look of and which have good reviews and then go and find them in a shop and test them out. I had one I was pretty sure I would get but didn't like the collapsing mechanism on it. Another that I was keen on I found really cheap looking in reality and it just didn't feel very sturdy. If you use the car a lot it will get put up and collapsed all the time so you don't want anything flimsy.

Pisghetti · 05/01/2015 21:34

It's lovely La Grin

I've got the strangest mental image of Mr La frantically hanging pics though - why??

LaLa5 · 05/01/2015 21:38

Will do wil!

pis we made a list of stuff to do before baby comes and 'hanging pictures' was one of them. He decided to get cracking!

Who mentioned pregnancy rhinitis? That's what I think I have! Blocked nose was my first symptom in both pregnancies - blocked but with nothing there when you blow. Now I am fine all day and then as soon as I lie down to go to sleep - boom! Blocked nose! I'm going to have find out from mw this week what's ok to take as I am getting no sleep and my sniffing is driving me nuts. I've taken to putting Vicks on my pillow rather than up my nose and it works a bit but I'm too scared to use a lot in case it's harmful.

LaLa5 · 05/01/2015 21:41

Speaking of AIBU (tee) I managed by accident to kill a thread DEAD this morning. Someone had asked why people put litter trays in their kitchens. Loads of people were debating kitchens versus rest of house.

I posted saying mine are in kitchen because that's where I want them to be and my cats are trained not to jump on the sides in the kitchen and I don't eat off the floor. I then said I found the thread really strange as aren't there more interesting things to post about (i.e. a nice juicy parking thread!) than where other people keep their litter trays in their own house?

I didn't mean it nastily or anything, it was just an observation, but no one has posted since. I think I killed the thread! Oops.

TheBooMonster · 05/01/2015 21:49

lol, wil and juni definitely give it a go!

la you murderer of AIBU thready you :P

urgh! I would like to report that someone forgot to give me the glow and energy, it's not even 10 and I'm ready for bed cries Who do I complain to and will I get a back payment?

willywallace · 05/01/2015 21:54

The bastards missed me off the Glow list too Boo. Unless it's going to arrive in the next two weeks Grin .

La that's hilarious. How about you go and kill all the annoying threads?
