Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 19th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 36th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Evening, just saying hi. x

lildottie · 04/01/2015 23:57

grats on the scans wiggly and tee

Nessalina · 05/01/2015 06:36

Checking in!
Totally failing on catching up - the little varmint is having a hard night!
Huge congrats to Rpopz & love to everyone else! Xx

LaLa5 · 05/01/2015 07:12

Between Mr La's toxic bed farts, his snoring and my pg insomnia I've had a terrible nights sleep :(

Work's going to be a toughie today.

Uggg

Popz are you getting to go home today?

willywallace · 05/01/2015 07:40

I had a terrible night too La although at least I don't have to work. Actually can't remember last time I slept well.

ZylaB · 05/01/2015 07:51

No, I wake up for hours at a time. I think if one more person tells me to "make the most of the sleep now" I may resort to violence!

laurenamium · 05/01/2015 08:06

Morning viroids! Sorry to those with bad nights! I woke up a fair bit but I can get straight back to sleep so its not too bad Smile

First day back at work after a fortnight off and I can't pull myself out of bed Confused I'm only half day today though I think so I'm being eased back in gradually Grin

teejayem · 05/01/2015 08:08

Anyone else think Monday mornings should be scrapped? Hmm

cookielove · 05/01/2015 08:59

Hello

minimooo · 05/01/2015 09:28

Definitely tee! Grin

Bad night here too - think I got about 3 hours between dh making scrambled eggs in the middle of the night wtf?! and the noisy neighbours. At least I don't have to go out the house today though. I just need to get through my tax return online. Never done it before - hope it's not too hard on the brain!

Congrats on the good scans yesterday, and welcome deeply!

ChatEnOeuf · 05/01/2015 09:40

Morning all. Disastrous first day back - forgot DD's smock for preschool, and her water bottle, and the 'picture or souvenir to talk about from the holidays', nearly forgot my travel card and dropped my newspaper in a not-quite-frozen puddle! All is well now though, cup of tea and a second breakfast consisting of a croissant and the feet of a white chocolate snowman. Ahhh....

Still coughing, still hurting. Huff. Croup is just paraflu virus, usually affects kids age 2-4 so quite why I sound like I have it is beyond me. Not especially bad in pregnancy, other than the usual gripes about lack of good medicines to help. Treatment is usually steroids, but a hot and steamy bathroom will have to do.

Welcome back Widdly! We've missed you. Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. We are indeed due date twins - though DH is already asking if I can avoid delivering in the last two weeks of June...Yes dear, of course Hmm I'm just starting to feel well - not quite so tired and the last really nauseous day was Sat...hopefully that's the back of it.

Good to hear your scan went well, Tee

Our FB announcement read something like "Great things are made in Belgium: chocolates...frites...babies" with a scan pic. Made me chuckle :)

Min I second the sling recommendation - we couldn't have done without one. DD was one of those babies who would not be put down - until she could sit up, basically.

Pisghetti · 05/01/2015 10:00

That's really cute Splodge!

I'm going to make you all well jel - I had a decent night's sleep Smile might have had something to do with DP snoring away next to me! Only woke up once to turn over. Normally it's about once an hour.

In the London office today so I'm going to be able to escape early to start the journey home.

rm00054 · 05/01/2015 11:55

Hi all. I had a break from Mumsnet over Christmas, it was quite nice to ignore real life for a while but I missed all you lovely viroids! I can't believe I missed Min and Popz having their babies, congrats to both of you! I hope you're enjoying baby snuggles.

I'm officially in the second trimester now! I had a couple of days last week where I didn't feel sick, but then it was back full force this weekend. I really hope it's easing. DH and I told all our family over the holidays, everyone is quite excited :)

Can anyone help me with due dates? Which one are you supposed to go by? I was moved to 25th June at my 12 week scan. Will it change again, or is that it for definite now? we have told people the old due date, so I hopefully get a few more days peace before people start badgering me about if baby is coming or not

Hope everyone is doing ok on this gloomy Monday morning.

laurenamium · 05/01/2015 11:59

I think with due dates they stick with the 12 week scan one as that is most accurate rm - or they did with me Smile

I just tried to order my aspirin and iron over the phone and they won't let me Confused I have to traipse all the way into town to tick a box, then come back 48 hours after to pick it up! Grrr, I might see if my DM will pop in for me as she works next door!

teejayem · 05/01/2015 12:11

As it's horrid Monday, I've Just been calculating that I have 76 working days left until Mat Leave (I want to start it at 35 weeks as jobs is reasonably high pressure & commute into London is horrid and I'd like some time to myself before Tiny Tee rocks up) I've also just found out that my company don't allow you to front load your annual leave before maternity, so I can only take what I accrue until the end of April, and the rest will be paid to me when I finish Mat leave, which is not what I'd originally been told/agreed. So I basically won't get my 2015 holiday pay until 2016 which I'm not wild about, and was kind of hoping to take 5 days between now and April and then the remaining 20 days in May and then start Mat leave beginning of June. Swizz. :( - It won't stop me from going off earlier, it just means I'll be skint faster, and then will have a lump sum at the end of Mat which I suppose isn't the end of the world.
I think I have Rhinitis :( Had a cold all over Xmas but I can't seem to shift the stuffy nose, this will be it's 5th week now... any good tips for de-snotting?
On the upside I've got tix to the Babyshow at Excel in feb, going to go with SiL and coo over all the tiny things :)
Love the FB announcement Chat! Sorry about the bad nights everyone, I had the whole bed to myself last night and made a nest, which was lush.

ZylaB · 05/01/2015 12:23

Hey cookie waves

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 05/01/2015 12:33

Hi viroids

Apologies for my radio silence on main fred for last few months, I hope you will have me back! I don't think there are many of you on here who will remember me. I got a bit disheartened after cervix-gate, but eventually after 3 years got the all clear in Sept and now obviously the fact I'm now posting on here means I managed to get upduffed. Only 7 weeks atm so feeling a bit nervous and freaked out generally (not to mention sick!). GP and consultant were bullying me to start IVF before Christmas which was annoying as I wasn't ready, but I was committed to JSing and it paid off! Massive congrats to recent new additions and new grads! Happy new year and all that jazz too!

willywallace · 05/01/2015 12:45

I remember your brilliant username Essie! Congratulations. Hope the next few weeks until scan time fly by.

Hi everyone. Had another pointless mw app today. Got another one next week and hoping they'll give me a sweep - although that may freak MiniWil out...

V sleepy and sitting on my arse instead of taking the tree down.

lildottie · 05/01/2015 13:08

essie that's fab! congrats. I'm here in spirit only as doing my first round of ivf atm. hope to join you all properly next month!

lildottie · 05/01/2015 13:09

oh, you probably remember me as lil1ady btw

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 05/01/2015 13:13

Got scan booked for day we get back from skiing on 16th feb. Not so keen on skiing now, we booked it week before we found out. Typical! I've passed on skiing for the past 2 years and DH has gone without me, and now the year I decide to go...! I'm not a great skier, but my complete novice friend is coming so I might just potter about on nursery slopes with her a bit if I feel like it and sleep for the rest! At least it's a week off work and cooking etc.

What's your due date willy?

Worked out mine is 25th Aug, which seems eons away. Got booking in app next week and blood test tomorrow morning, hoping it might feel a bit more real after I've seen the mw.

EssiesInvisibleLlama · 05/01/2015 13:16

ooh lil hi! Good luck with the IVF, really hope to see you here properly next month. Hope it's all going ok and you are feeling alright.

Nessalina · 05/01/2015 13:18

Essie! Grin Big congrats, so pleased for you! I think you were one of those on the thread when I first started out JSing.
I had my LO 8 weeks ago, he's just snoozing on me after his lunch Grin

RPopz · 05/01/2015 13:26

Congrats Essie Smile I remember your name, don't think I was around for cervix gate though Wink

Finally got home at 10pm last night... thank god! So nice to have the little man home Smile He's feeding much better and am topping up with formula. Impatient for my milk to come in though. Am currently thinking he looks like an Isaac... DH not keen!

Hope everyone's first days back at work aren't too poo x

TheBooMonster · 05/01/2015 13:35

welcome back essie and congratulations on your upduffedness!

I feel like a terrible mum today. Have a stinking cold and am exhausted from work, all DD has done all morning is naughty things that I keep having to tell her off for and I don't have the energy to sit and encourage her to play with things so it's a never ending cycle. Suspect one of my chickens is not quite right, she's just sat out in a pile of food on the patio and looks a bit 'lopsided' I brought her in for a bit but she got a bit stressed out about it so upon establishing she doesn't have creepy crawlies or any injuries I let her back out, our local vet doesn't deal with chickens and the only place that does has previously advised me that I have a perfectly healthy chicken hours before it died so I don't really know what to do :S

In other news I've had my maternity leave approved, but my request to go back after 39 weeks denied, apparently I can't make that request till 8 weeks before I'm ready to go back, so that's something I'm going to have to remember to do so I don't stop getting money :/ Maternity leave starts at 36 weeks and holiday starts at 31 weeks so I'm 5 weeks off work related freedom!

I've started a blog, and my new years resolution is to carry it on through for the whole year, so I'm slowly filling it with updates on the pregnancy, hospital lists, and buying lists and other bits and pieces.
