Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 19th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 36th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

My friends baby grew out of the Moses basket by 3 weeks la so it really depends on how big a baby you have! DD went into her own room with a heart monitor under her mattress when I moved in my own house at 4 months and she was fine. She slept better without me waking her!

MrsNM · 11/01/2015 18:22

Hi viroids! Haven't been on for a few days so popping in to check on you all, will catch up with the Fred in a bit!
Hope you're all well and have had a decent weekend Smile

cookielove · 11/01/2015 18:34

Elijah will be in with me for 7 months Shock

willywallace · 11/01/2015 18:54

Hi MrsNM.

MiniWil was 4 1/2 months and she needed the space of the proper cot. I don't know many people who last the six months although those are the guidelines.

ChatEnOeuf · 11/01/2015 19:09

La, MiniChat was in her bedroom at about 5m - we were willing to try anything to improve her sleep nothing helped

RPopz · 11/01/2015 19:19

3 weeks!! Shock Hope minipopz doesn't grow that fast... I'll cry! Sad

We've got a bednest, same sort of thing as the snuzpod.. not happening right now though, he will not be put down on a night... Confused

Was it an nct sale La? Never managed to get to one but the PILs raved about them... sounds like hell on earth!

deeplybaffled · 11/01/2015 19:24

Thanks for all the advice - probably won't get to have a scan for about a month yet as only about 6 1/2 weeks, so unreality might stay for a while longer ;)
So far, been relatively light on symptoms and praying it stays that way as off on holiday in a couple of weeks! Gx very tightly...

Pisghetti · 11/01/2015 19:32

DS moved into his own room at 4m but that was the guidance back then!

Having a bargainous weekend. Mothercare came good! They sent a further email to say they'd negotiated extra stock with Britax so I could have the car seat with the original discount plus an extra 10% for the inconvenience! The code they gave only worked for one seat though so need to call them tomorrow about the second seat.. Got a £90 high chair for £25 and a Phillips avent electric breast pump reduced from £130 to £70 through Bounty offers. Got the milk storage cups and teats half price in store at mothercare. Got super cheap 100% cotton sheets for cot, cot bed and Moses basket (DP has cot, I have cot bed) from home bargains.

Did a big sort through of stuff we've been given/bought and separated them into age sizes. Almost feel ready to have a baby! Actually can't walk as my pelvis is pretty fucked. Definitely feel ready to have the bloody baby Hmm

willywallace · 11/01/2015 19:37

Where are you going Deeply?

That sounds sore Pis, are you seeing a physio?

couldhavebeenme · 11/01/2015 19:37

Minicould lasted approximately 7-8 weeks in our room - combination of growing out of the Moses basket and she snored so loud we couldn't sleep when she was!

TheBooMonster · 11/01/2015 20:08

think dd managed about 5 months in our room... but her room was just across the hall from us and we had a baby monitor.

Thanks ladies. I only took my notes out with me when I went half way across the country last time, but there's been a couple of times where I've thought 'damn wish I had my notes' this time round, Figured I'd start taking them to work as my work is a spit away from the hospital and it would take me 4 hours on the busses or about £40 of taxi's to go get my notes from home if something happened, but I only have 7 shifts left. I couldn't see anything in my hand held notes about when to cart them round full time, but was sure there had been something in my notes about it with DD, if it was 37 weeks that would explain why I didn't cart them round with her as she was already here by then...

Forgot to phone and confirm I could make the Anaesthetic review with the anaesthetist, going to have to phone in the morning and hope they've not scheduled something over it >.< Still have no idea what the appointment involves...

argh! I have horrible restless legs this evening, they hurt so much every time i stop moving them :(

cookielove · 11/01/2015 20:17

Dh is sleeping in our spare room with the bike, I don't really want Eli sleeping in there we are moving in March he will be six months in Feb so when we are the new flat he will have his own room. Not sure if I should put him straight in his new bed when we move or keep him with me for a whold so it isn't to much change all at once!

WigglyBraddins · 11/01/2015 21:18

Evening viroids

I've just booked the "last weekend away before we have a new born" trip to Brussels for me and DH. We'll be there from 10th-13th April chat so if you fancy a coffee/waffle/frites with us that'd be great! We can compare 6.5 month bumps!

DS was in his own room at 12 weeks because like his dad he was as lanky as anything and had outgrown his Moses basket and we didn't want to move his cot into our room (in fact I don't think it would have fitted). In the Moses basket he kept flailing and waking himself up. He slept much better in the cot.

WigglyBraddins · 11/01/2015 21:19

In fact I don't know why I wrote "was". DS is still v lanky (and is likely to remain that way).

willywallace · 11/01/2015 21:58

I'm so envious of all your holidays!

I'd go for changing it all at once Cookie, you might just get away with it.

LaLa5 · 11/01/2015 22:48

Wiggly that sounds brilliant! We were hoping to go away but I think it's likely we won't get to do it due to money

Popz not sure who organised the sale, but I won't be going again as it wasn't worth it! I love our little jungle gym though

I'm going to think hard about bed situation. We have 20cm on dhs side and 40 on mine. He comes in at 3am from work so needs some access to his side or he'd be waking me up. I think bednest or snuzpod are best idea but they v expensive, whereas I've been offered free use of a Moses basket. But Lauren's point was right - I might have a large baby. Or like some of you said baby might settle better in cot/crib

Will have big think and look out for 2nd hand stuff online

Went to pub quiz tonight. One of the team asked me how long I have left - I was like 'um...two thirds of my pregnancy!' I'm not kidding when I say my bump seems to be quite large for 14 weeks

Pis that sounds sore, are you seeking treatment ?

Deeply I hate to say it but I remember feeling like I'd got away with no ms at 7 weeks, then it hit like a sledgehammer at 7.5 and I felt like shit until 12! I hope that you're one of the lucky ones!!

deeplybaffled · 11/01/2015 22:51

Going to the Caribbean. Very excited ;)

deeplybaffled · 11/01/2015 22:54

la -oh dear. Will cross fingers even more tightly...
Apart from anything else, I really don't want work to know yet for various reasons and it would be a complete giveaway :(

willywallace · 11/01/2015 22:57

God well now I'm even more jealous! Grin

Do you manage to stay asleep normally when he comes in La? I'm such a light sleeper, I would always wake up if someone came in the room. I'd forego his space, you'll be awake feeding the baby anyway Wink . You could always borrow the Moses basket for the first wee bit anyway, seeing as it's free? Gives you a bit of time and you might find it does the job fine.

LaLa5 · 11/01/2015 22:59

Some people completely miss it, my sil had no sickness at all Grin so hopefully that will be you! Neither way I'm sure being in the Caribbean would make it all feel a lot better! I felt sick in the house but was ok in the fresh air. So envious, where are you going?

LaLa5 · 11/01/2015 22:59

*either

lildottie · 11/01/2015 23:33

la there are several selling sites for our local area on Facebook, maybe have a look on those as there's always baby stuff on them and often in good nick for good prices. can u kick dh into a spare room? more room for your womb like pillow then! any room at end of bed, or if you reorganised the furniture?

deeply I'm so jealous of ur holiday! fx the ms stays at bay. at least being on holiday will make time until scan go faster!

Fleurchamp · 12/01/2015 06:28

Just had my NCT booking form through - £383 for the signature course! Wow! Is anyone else's this much?

LaLa5 · 12/01/2015 06:44

Morning! Been awake since 5.

Wil I'm a light sleeper so wear rag plugs and then I don't wake up when he comes to bed. I think we will just have to make do at first with the space we've got. Houses in the south east are tiny compared to Scotland

Lil I'm on all the Facebook groups in my area, there are some great bargains!

Fleur it's £200 in my area: it's ip to you if you think it's worth the money. I decided it wasn't worth it, im doing the free one at the hospital. I wanted to do it for the social side but was told it can be hit or miss whether you get a group you actually would want to hang out with. Instead I've heard of a few upduffed folk near me through friends and we've arranged to meet for coffee. You'll meet people at mum and baby stuff. My mum exercise class is quite social too.

LaLa5 · 12/01/2015 06:44

What's a rag plug?

Ear plugs!
