Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 19th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 36th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

We haven't heard from Tabby for ages. I wonder how she is

LaLa5 · 10/01/2015 20:18

I always feel a bit sad when folk are on JSIng thread for quite a while, get upduffed then vanish. You get to know them and celebrate with them when they get bfp, then they go off and you're left wondering how they are. Am I a sad case?

laurenamium · 10/01/2015 20:23

No absolutely la I always wonder how people are and look for people Grin

willywallace · 10/01/2015 20:26

I was thinking that about Tabby last week La. Agree about fb not being real life. I have someone who cheats on her husband loads. She's always posting stuff about how lovely he is and about him buying her diamonds and cars etc. If you believed her fb persona you'd think it was the perfect set up.

Deeply I still don't think it feels real...

TheBooMonster · 10/01/2015 20:27

Deeply didn't feel real for me till the 12 week scan, seeing an actual baby on the screen made it hit home.

it's eh-veh-lyn as apposed to eve-lyn and I know it's not that different, but every time I hear it is grates n my nerves, suppose I should get used to it as people will be doing it all the time >.< She'll probably be nicknamed 'Bel' by Dh's family as her middle name is Isabella and it goes with 'Boo' which is DD's nickname, but my my lot are likely to call her Evelyn or Evie if they shorten it, they're not really the name shortening type though, the only person in my generation who'd name gets shortened is cousin Jon (Jonathan) and he specifically demanded it from quite early on. DD gets called by her full name by most of my family.

yikes, by potential induction date I'm effectively 5th! Where did all the time go, I remember being 5 and a half weeks!!

We cleared the nursery today mostly now we just need a carpet in there, the existing one had to go, even the rug doctor didn't salvage it and to get DD some new furniture so all her current stuff that's quite small can go in the nursery. We're putting a futon in DD's room too so that we can actually have guests stay over, and DD can camp in the nursery when we have guests.

DulcetMoans · 10/01/2015 20:49

I don't want to go!!! I'm packed, got loads of snacks just in case. Kitten is all over me like she knows I'm going. Interfering with typing actually. I just feel so anxious about it all. I've ignored the fact in going for so long that now I don't feel ready.

I feel bad not posting on the TTC thread but I feel out of the loop a little but now so need a big read to catch up. I know I haven't disappeared cos I'm here but still care about those guys.

People are bound to get it wrong boo but hopefully will only do it once. I had a friend at school who's parents would hang up if you called and asked for her by the shortened version of her name. You could try something similar!

deeply, I think feeling shit does help you feel it's real but it's hard to believe without a scan. You worry anyone up until then!

willywallace · 10/01/2015 21:07

That's hilarious Dulcet, what was her name?

Your trip will be fun, think of it as the last chance to do something like this for a while. Have a nice flight. When are you leaving?

A lot of names can be pronounced or spelled differently Boo, I wouldn't worry people will get it right soon enough.

TheBooMonster · 10/01/2015 21:18

aye willy people spell my name wrong all the time because there are so many variants of it, and people used to 'correct' my surname for me >.> even now I'm married I get some interesting post through occasionally, I can only assume I have an accent that people round here struggle to understand despite living here all my life must be all that American telly as I constantly get mail through for Mrs Dacmer when there is neither a D nor a C in my surname... Mum's name is 'corrected' for her all the time too because it's not spelt normally, at least Evelyn is fairly easy to spell, she might occasionally be Evelin...

LaLa5 · 10/01/2015 21:23

Dulcet try not to worry - the reason things make headlines is because they are sensational or out of the ordinary. Thousands of flights operate daily. I'm scared of flying so know how you feel but you'll be there before you know it and you'll have such an amazing time. Enjoy yourself xx

I'm terrified of the wind - it's so annoying because it's completely impractical when you're from Edinburgh and it interferes with do much. It's been windy here the lady few days and I have panic attacks. Daft.

My cat had gone mad - he's running up and down the house screeching. Other cat was lying on couch. Mad cat ran up to him, went up on his hind legs and waved his paws around madly, trying to get him to play. So funny. I'm tired and want to go to sleep so I've just had to sit and stroke him until he stops being a radge

LaLa5 · 10/01/2015 21:26

Boo don't worry, whatever you decide to call her folk will get used to.

Except if you have a mad English teacher. She called my friend Sinead Siobhan ('she-vonne') all the way through school even though everyone corrected her

Too many people have told me now that we shouldn't call our baby girl lily because of our surname. It's kind of ruined it for me now :(

ChatEnOeuf · 10/01/2015 21:43

Have an amazing trip Dulcet. The book 'Don't tell me Flying is the Safest way to Travel' finally cured my fear. The author recommended going to the airport for the day and watching all the planes take off and all be totally fine. I only went an hour or so early for our flight but it worked!

I'd say Ev-e-lyn too, but I know folks who pronounce it both ways. Having had a name most people struggle to spell, I swore I would never do that to my kids. Then went and called DD a name with multiple spellings. Never mind Grin

Started feeling less hypothetical and more real once movements started for me. Scans have been great but it's all still a bit abstract for me until that wriggling you see on screen turns into a womble wobble :)

Having bought some lovely mat bras last week, my boobs have exploded again - literally as well as figuratively. I feel huge this evening!

willywallace · 10/01/2015 21:49

Oh La never share names before baby comes. What about a variation of Lily if you're worried e.g. Lillian, Lillia, Lilliana, Lillias, Lila and then just call her Lily if you want? Although personally I think you should tell them all to get to fuck ignore them.

LaLa5 · 10/01/2015 21:53

Get to fuck. Such a brilliant phrase, I miss Scotland!

Lillia is nice...

LaLa5 · 10/01/2015 21:54

Chat when did you first feel baby? I'm 13+4 and can feel lots of stretchy but I don't think baby yet

DulcetMoans · 10/01/2015 22:25

I think I can feel it and have a few weeks but it's just like bubbles in uterus so not sure.

I know I am being unreasonable about flying. I don't travel much and the news has scared me but I know it is more likely to be fine. Pregnancy probably doesn't help!

Her name was Kimberly wil, never Kim! Even though she was Kim toys at school. Only her parents hated it.

My make is constantly wrong too boo. First name has variations and mine is a bit odd and surname I must say funny and people just make it up!

One of my cats likes programmes about cats and she just watched puss in boots with us. Turns out it's not just real cats she likes!

DulcetMoans · 10/01/2015 22:25

Oh and flight is tomorrow lunch time but leaving at 9am for travel and check in.

willywallace · 10/01/2015 22:34

Sorry didn't realise you were a nervous flyer, just thought you weren't keen on going in general. I think the recent occurrences would be enough to put the shits up anybody but you'll be fine. Thanks Have you got lots of things to occupy you on the flight?

lildottie · 10/01/2015 23:57

la it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea but how about Camilla, then Lilly for short?

dulcet go here and look at how many planes are in the air right now. my mum refused to fly until a few years ago. she tracked us on 7flights to and from honeymoon on this site and seeing all the planes in the air being fine really helped her. you'll be fine. how long are you going for?

TheBooMonster · 11/01/2015 00:20

omg lil that is a hell of a lot of planes!

ooh dulcet I'll swap you, I'll fly for you if you'll go to work tomorrow for me, I for one love planes and don't fly nearly enough

LaLa5 · 11/01/2015 03:36

My brothers ex fiancé who broke off their engagement was camilla so unfortunately that ones out. She was a silly cow anyway...

DulcetMoans · 11/01/2015 07:33

That is a lot of planes lil, in a really small amount of space! I'm sure I will be fine, just feeling anxious about it all. It is travel for work boo so you won't got to see much if we swap. Although in told there is some kind of butterfly farm at Singapore airport which him excited about!

I have snacks, films, a book and sleep to occupy me wil. Hoping that's enough. That and walking about in my flight socks!

Do you think you won't use Lily at all then la? It's a shame when you are put off. MIL has only banned Geoff, Clive and Patrick which there wasn't much chance of us using anyway. Not that we will tell her that - this is baby Clive now just to annoy her!

LaLa5 · 11/01/2015 07:58

So lucky dulcet! We rarely get to travel for work and if I do it's as far as Manchester! Have a great time! Remember to drink lots of water on plane

ChatEnOeuf · 11/01/2015 08:07

That website helped me too - amazing just how many flights operate each day. Butterfly farm sounds more scary than the plane! I don't like things fluttering in my eyes/face

La - this one I felt for the first time at 12-13w, but with DD it was about 17. I remember clearly as it was 3am and I was on a night shift, trying to put a cannula in a little person. Apparently I pulled a funny face but managed to keep my hands still until the line was in, both the nurses and the kid's dad laughed at me afterwards. Felt like I was getting a text in my bladder Grin

TheBooMonster · 11/01/2015 08:49

Viroids when is it that you should start carrying your hand held notes everywhere with you?

TheBooMonster · 11/01/2015 08:51

Oh dulcet I don't much care about the sightseeing, just the idea of the walking that would involve makes me want to cry, though I suspect your job is more skilled than mine, so perhaps you should go after all :p
