Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 19th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 36th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I want waffles

Pisghetti · 08/01/2015 10:10

Hi MrsNM

I'm sure I've made chocolate mousse without eggs before... There was dark chocolate, double cream and chestnut puree healthy .... Will have to see if I can remember how it's done. Oh bugger it I'm going to find a recipe and use some Lion stamped eggs this weekend Grin I adore it but usually can't eat it unless I've made it myself without gelatine.

Hope all goes ok with the MW today Zyla and hope you feel better soon Wil or pop a baby out first

I showed DP some of the pictures of babies in star wraps yesterday (perhaps accompanied by some 'Awww look - how cute are these!' type gushing...) and he just gave me a funny look and suggested I stop looking at baby stuff as it was turning my brain to mush Angry

TheBooMonster · 08/01/2015 10:15

zyla DD found all of her best noisy toys all on her own this morning i was very proud, she started to play with them one after the other in succession when he came downstairs this morning. I've laid down the law, put some migraleve in his bag and sent him to work. I learnt sympathy from my mum, unless you're bleeding profusely from a wound or vomiting uncontrollably at no fault of your own: out the door

guilty face sorrry la there must be somewhere local to you that does waffles... I've found a waffle maker! www.lakeland.co.uk/15923/Cuisinart-Waffle-Maker it's like a toasty maker but so much cooler... because it makes waffles!

oh hurumph at your DP's lack enthusiasm pis :(

mountaingirl01 · 08/01/2015 10:22

A tentative hello again viroids! Got a rwtf cycle bfp 2 days ago...
Started Spotting very very lightly last night so freaking out but hopeful it's just breakthrough?!

willywallace · 08/01/2015 10:37

Haha good work LittleBoo! Think that much time at a computer would kill me.

No baby coming yet Pis, not allowed until next week at least I have decided Grin .

willywallace · 08/01/2015 10:39

Hi Mountain, fingers crossed all is well. Welcome back !

ChatEnOeuf · 08/01/2015 10:58

Welcome (officially) MrsNM and congratulations :)

And hellooo! Mountain! Lovely to see you. Spotting can be v normal Hmm look at me all chilled out

I love waffles. DH was told to get me a waffle-maker for Christmas, and he did well - got me a combo waffle-toastie-pannini making wonder-machine.

Now I sometimes get a migraine but the headache is the most minor part...it's the fact I can't see, or think straight that affect me more. Not that I could play on a computer during one in any way. Excellent work by your DD Boo.

Wil, if the baby isn't moving normally, I would get checked over...

Hope the appt went well Zyla and your BP is normal now.

La I feel the sleepless pain, my night is regularly interrupted by wee-wees. Mostly mine, but DD gets in on the action too Hmm

teejayem · 08/01/2015 11:10

mmmm.. waffles...... There's a wafflery at Liverpool Street station I pass every night after work, I might have to dive in there tonight. Last night I craved paxo stuffing... Confused but I didn't succumb. I had a Nandos instead.
Ah boo similar sympathy mantra here. I blame my mum, she's a medic and has always been very much unless you are missing a limb or unconscious you can go to school so I've ended up qute similiar. Although I appreciate that you don't win any prizes for being brave and not succumbing to the sofa... (And I'm way more inclined to not soldier on at the moment..) - but if he has the means to solve it then he should go to work!
We call our cats collectively 'The Poohs' Do not ask me why.

Pis that comment would have earned a full fledged preg-slap in our house.

I am 19 weeks! My baby is Mango sized! eeek!

ZylaB · 08/01/2015 11:18

Ok, urine has no protein which is good!! But my bp is still high so I've got to go in to hospital for checks. Mw says they can do a blood test to better check for preeclampsia. I think they're just being careful as I'm high risk but I'll put bags in the car just in case. Appointment at 1pm!

minimooo · 08/01/2015 11:19

Wow, lots of news since I last logged on yesterday!

Welcome mrsmn! Congrats on your pregnancy. Did you say you were 24 weeks? Sounds about the same as me, lauren, could and splodge. When are you due?

Welcome back mountain, so lovely to see you back here Smile From my time spent on mn over the last couple of years, it seems that spotting is pretty common and is more often than not due to implantation/breakthrough. Fx it stops soon though because I know how scary it is x

Hope the mw appt this morning went well zyla

Wil hope you feel better soon (and that miniwil lets you rest a bit today!)

I want waffles! No waffle places round here though, dammit. I might have to whip up some pancakes to take the edge off the craving Hmm

minimooo · 08/01/2015 11:23

oops, cross-posted with you there zyla. Sorry to hear bp still a bit high, but really great that urine test is normal. Good that they're looking after you. Hope it all goes well at hospital later.

ChatEnOeuf · 08/01/2015 11:32

Good luck for the hospital Zyla. Good they're checking you out - hopefully no need to have your bag, but useful to pack a book for the four-hour wait for bloods to come back Wink

Fleurchamp · 08/01/2015 11:43

Hi all, I have a little question for you.

We have our second scan today and will (hopefully) get the results of our Harmony test.

We have told our parents that we do not want the wider world to be told until we have received the results.

I have received a text today from both my mum and my MIL asking if they can tell people yet. Not how the test went etc.

When I replied not yet, my mum said "oh that's a shame I am seeing xxx today and wanted to tell her. Can I tell her anyway?" I said no (this woman will broadcast it).

My MIL said that she was going to tell her best friend anyway as she is going away for two weeks and she doesn't want to tell her by text. I said not to and that I would be really upset if I heard otherwise as I don't think it's a huge ask.

My DH then emailed me to say his mum is upset. I said stuff her.

Am I being completely unreasonable?

Pisghetti · 08/01/2015 12:00

Not at all Fleur. This YOUR news and YOUR baby. You call the shots. Should you allow them to do something that would potentially upset you so they don't get upset? Absolutely not. It isn't all about them and having been told no they shouldn't be asking. Did MIL contact DH as some attempt to go over your head to get approval?

Pisghetti · 08/01/2015 12:01

Good luck with the scan and result by the way Flowers

willywallace · 08/01/2015 12:04

I don't think you're being unreasonable, it's not their news to share. You have told them something in confidence because you trust them and they should respect that. Hope the results come back ok.

Glad you're getting checked out zyla, gx all is fine and you don't go mental waiting in hospital.

Baby is moving fine now thanks Chat. I have seemed to get quite a few periods of quiet throughout this pg. I keep feeling a bit better and so eating something because I'm hungry and then remembering eating makes me feel crap. Remind me of this please.

I am a bad mother today. My two year old is stuck on the ipad. It will come back to bite me on the ass when she isn't tired enough for her afternoon nap.

Pisghetti · 08/01/2015 12:21

Hope all goes ok Zyla - good to hear your urine was clear though.

Pisghetti · 08/01/2015 12:22

Ooh and welcome Mountain!!

teejayem · 08/01/2015 12:30

Good luck zyla - all sounds positive!
Lovely to see you again Mountain :) and welcome mrsNM

I absolutely agree with pis wil wrt to your news Fleur. Quite right it's your news and imho they are privileged that you've told them in the first place. I fee quite strongly about this kind of thing having had a bit of a dose of it from my MiL early on (Lots of FB posts by her about 'Excitement' and news!' in the weeks running up to 12wk scan, and most people had guessed from her unsubtle hinting, even though we had specifically asked for no social media and no sharing.)
I know that she has given DP a bit of an earful about being upset because of some of the things I've asked her not to do (Nursery furnituregate/clothing mountain still rumbles on) but I just try not to take any notice. It's YOUR and your DPs baby, ergo, your news to share. Don't be emotionally blackmailed into feeling bad.

steps off soapbox

Hope it all goes well today!! x

minimooo · 08/01/2015 12:31

Not at all fleur, I'm just echoing what pis and wil have already said, but it's your news to share when you feel comfortable. Your dm and mil should wait until you're ready to share news!
Good luck with scan and results.

minimooo · 08/01/2015 12:36

oh no tee, that sounds awful Shock. And I thought my mil was overbearing! I love her really, she can just be a bit much sometimes

ChatEnOeuf · 08/01/2015 12:37

We were the same Fleur - told immediate family and they were banned from telling anyone else until it was common knowledge. My DM told my gran, which I could just about forgive, as she lives in the arse end of nowhere and doesn't do facebook...but everyone else respected our wishes.

I'd be tempted to tell them that next time they won't be in such a privileged position if they don't behave this time. I've been known to threaten this....Blush

Fleurchamp · 08/01/2015 12:49

Thanks ladies, I am well aware of hormones and did wonder if I am being unreasonable.

I even tried calling the clinic to see if they could give me the result over the phone but they wouldn't (their phone lines are down and so they can only communicate by email) and so I have tried!!

tee I will stop swearing about my MIL now Smile

teejayem · 08/01/2015 13:17

No please don't fleur - I need constant reassurance that I have a difficult MiL and am not being a knob and other people have MiL rage sometimes too! - I think they all have their moments....!!

I don't intrinsically dislike my MiL, similar to you Mini and I just have to keep reminding myself that it's 1st gc for her, he's really excited, if she wants to spend her money, time etc, then let her crack on. she isn't a bad person, and I think she's a bit lonely. We are just very different and I actually feel sorry for Mr Tee being in the middle of us.

Still doesn't stop her from dishing out the unsolicited advice and 70's midwife tips, but hey ho.

Christ I've come over all compassionate. It must be the milkshake I just had :D

laurenamium · 08/01/2015 13:39

Hi mountain I hope it's a sticky bean for you and that it's breakthrough bleeding!

zyla I have everything crossed that things will go how you want it to at the hospital and hopefully it's not preeclampsia! How far on are you?

I have an hour break until school run and DP is playing with DD. I'm planning a nap Grin hope you are feeling better wil and that miniwil naps!
