We've just got a phil and teds dot with the carry cot and double kit free because John Lewis had it labelled wrong, a lovely £250 saving, I can't wait for them to deliver it! Smile

I still have my mamas and papas pram and dd will be getting on for 4 when dc2 arrives so I don't need a double but I can't get the pushchair attachment off in order to reattach the carry cot! Would be a shame to buy a whole new pram just because it seems to have jammed somehow.

Actually most of what I need is for dd- a new bed so dc2 can hhave her cot bed, a buggy board, new furniture for her new room when dc2 takes over nursery.... can only think of boring stuff like new monitor and cot mattress for the baby.

Afternoon May-sters!

Good luck with all the lovely scans tomorrow!

Tori It sucks that you are still feeling rotten-you must be exhausted by now, with it all. Hope you get some relief soon (and your Dad)

Sounds manic Just! I'm finding too that things just seem to take twice as long when pregnant Smile

I too have been enjoying a pregnancy pillow for a while now-was my very first purchase and so worth it. Was from Argos but is a Summer brand and is like a long snake like thing that is comfort personified! This may help the aches and pains leanne-that and moving position frequently. It is getting to that uncomfortable stage again!

23 weeks today Grin Lots of lovely regular kicks! Does anyone know when you are supposed to start to "Count the Kicks"?

KittyVonCatsington · 04/01/2015 14:53

Am feeling very grateful to my DSis for giving me her pram to use for Kitlet. A lovely purple Stokke Xplory. Can see the dilemmas for double pram buying though-hope you all find good solutions!!

cuphat · 04/01/2015 14:57

This is the count the kicks guide to movement www.countthekicks.org.uk/mums/your-babys-movements/babys-movements-week-by-week/ . It says you may start to notice patterns from weeks 20-24 - it's the pattern changing that they now say you need to keep an eye on, not the number of kicks. There was no pattern last time with my anterior placenta, and I have one again which I imagine will lead to worrying again.

leanne963 · 04/01/2015 15:15

Thanks kitty will have a look at that one too! This pram malarkey is difficult cause every mum swears by a different pram and im worried ill get one and hate it! Ha

Thanks for the link cuphat regarding the Kicks! DD tend to g be most active after I eat fruit and first thing and last thing at night! I love the feelings knowing she is kicking away, can't eat til my partner can feel her too!!

I stupidly ate a massive pizza last night, I really shouldn't eat gluten, and have had the worst cramps today and along with being tired from not sleeping I am a big ball of self pity haha!

KittyVonCatsington · 04/01/2015 15:35

Thanks cuphat Marvellous link Gin Hope you don't have too much worry o contend with xxx

KittyVonCatsington · 04/01/2015 15:36

Grin not Gin! Must have Wine on the brain!

Chookford · 04/01/2015 15:40

I have my pram from dd too it was a mothercare my4 which they have now discontinued so I need to check what state it is in ( has been stored in the loft) I want a Cosatto giggle 2 now though I love all the colours they do and they do very reasonable package prices that include the car seat... So I have a maxi cosi seat to sell which I may get a few quid for hopefully!
Baby is kicking regularly now, I can see my belly moving with it.. My dd thinks it's the most amazing thing she has ever seen bless her... Grin

TwinkleTee · 04/01/2015 16:05

I found this while mooching about on t'internets... All I could think was "My poor organs!"

m.imgur.com/Ttx6okw

That explains the general uncomfortableness then Smile

leanne963 · 04/01/2015 17:05

I spent a good amount of time watching that gif twinkle ha where does the stomach go?!

leanne963 · 04/01/2015 17:06

I mean intestines!!

Titsalinabumsquash · 04/01/2015 17:25

My bump is always huge at the end of the day, I figured my stomach was pushing it out more when it was full. Grin

I picked up a double Maclaren that we bought off ebay and was remarkably surprised. It's really quite nice! And folds surprisingly small. I was also pleased at how cocooned the little one will be. So hopefully this will do us for now. DD will be in nursery three days a week and DH has a day off a week. So I'm only on my own with two a day a week so will hopefully only use it then. The collapsable aspect is essential for when I'm dropping two at nursery. It has to go in a buggy shed. Don't think they'd thank me for a non collapsible!

cuphat · 04/01/2015 18:09

The peach 3 actually folds up really small - half the size of the strawberry! We were surprised by that as DH was worried it would take up more room in the car!

Justyouwaitandsee · 04/01/2015 19:47

Well we have taken the plunge and bought the Mamas and Papas Sola 2 pushchair with £110 jan sale discount.

We still need to get the extra bits for it but thought we'd wait to see if we can get any extra discounts at a later date (these were not in the sale). We also found out that our local mamas and papas is closing down so might be worth keeping an eye out at your local store.

Snooky17 · 04/01/2015 19:56

Ooh I love pram chat, I have gone for the oyster 2, got it off eBay carrycot, front and parent facing, and 3 colour packs so can have it claret silver or black, for only £100 bought a maxi cosi car seat to use with it too, had a play well lots of plays lol.

Royalsteph · 04/01/2015 20:26

I've been looking at the cosatto giggle as well. I love the colours and it's perfect for what we want it for. 22 weeks now, it feels like time has flown.

BeanCalledPickle · 04/01/2015 20:31

Don't you think there is too much choice?!? Wouldn't it just be easier if there was one really good one that everyone bought? A bit like the maxi cosi car seat. Almost everyone gets one of them! Prams get snobby as well, In this area it's all bugaboos but you must never admit to buying one new. That would be ostentatious. Where my friend lives in South london you are judged for not having an I candy:-) We were in john Lewis once and her wheel caught in a lift. She went to customer services and they insisted on replacing all wheels as icandy wouldn't allow their brand to be compromised with only one new wheel:-)

longestlurkerever · 04/01/2015 20:36

That's the one I have Just, although I got it in a bundle at the outlet store with the carry cot and car seat. I like the fact it has the proper pram attachment and can face you as well as away. Downsides are that it's not as manoevrable as the bugaboo and doesn't fold down very small but I still think it's really good for the price (just need to get the sodding pushchair bit off the base now!)

Royalsteph · 04/01/2015 20:38

I think with prams and travel systems no matter what you pick someone is always going to have something to say about it good or bad. but everyone is different and has different needs Grin

cuphat · 04/01/2015 20:50

There is too much choice. When I was expecting DD I had long lists comparing prams! It's easy this time as we have loved the icandy so much. No one I know has one, everyone seems to have different things around here, we just went for the one that would suit us the best and that we preferred the look of! Agree that maxi-cosi seems to be the default for car seats!

leanne963 · 04/01/2015 20:52

Did you all test the prams in store before you bought them? Or did you just take recommendations as word?! I am swaying towards the graco travel system but my mum says I must try before I buy.....

shinyhappyone · 04/01/2015 20:58

The pram was the first thing we brought back at the end of november. We went for the Cosatto giggle as we loved the bright colours plus there was a deal where the car seat came free! We had tried a few by pushing them around the store but felt as long as I could lift and fold it easily, we'd be ok!
We're now on Moses basket/ cot/ mattress dilemmas!! xx

cuphat · 04/01/2015 20:59

I agree with your mum, I would definitely test in store. You want to see how they feel to steer and how to collapse them etc.
