Fantastic picture chook

piglet the best tights I have had so far are from next, got the 100 denier ones and am really pleased with them.

Others I bought were from H&M which were utter crap and then some from Sephena is it called? so loose on the bump that they would never stay up...

Turquoisetamborine · 16/01/2015 06:53

I got some maternity tights from amazon. Pack of two for £9.99 delivered. They are great and lovely quality.

Justyouwaitandsee · 16/01/2015 07:57

I just bought myself new pairs of large normal tights. My mum bought me some from Blooming Marvellous but they were too loose over the bump. Maybe they will come into their own in the later stages...

Bazza2 · 16/01/2015 08:03

mum I'm learning to drive too! How are your lessons going? How far along in them are you?

mumxof3x · 16/01/2015 08:16

Bazza I started last july, but yesterday was my second lesson with my new instructor, I realised my old one was taking me for the ride and just prolonging everything to gain extra money, my theory hadnt been mentioned or anything by my old instructor, wheras my new one has already said il be booked in by middle of next month for it, hes hoping to have me passed my test by may....hmmm. How about you?

Bazza2 · 16/01/2015 08:59

I started in late August. Passed my theory in September and test booked for March! My instructor is brilliant though, really encouraging. Hope your new one is better than the old one. I'm doing lots of practice with DP too, it really helps but can get a bit confusing because his car is so different from my instructor's. Are you getting much practice?

mumxof3x · 16/01/2015 09:55

Can already tell my new one is way better then my old one. He basically taught me to just drive around without teaching me what I needed to know. He used to sit txting on his mobile for all of my lesson. Never realised at time actually how bad he was until my friend started driving in december in december and her instructor mentioned theory straight away, so as soon as I realised that I started looking for a new instructor. I get no home practice as my partner doesnt drive and my parents work all the time so dont have time to take me out.

longestlurkerever · 16/01/2015 11:28

Good luck with the driving mum and bazza! I might see if I can get dh back behind the wheel. He had some lessons but unfortunately failed his test and it dropped down our priority list after dd was born (we're in London and don't drive that much) but with two it might make life easier if we could both drive as he could run dd1 places (just had to go back and add that 1! Exciting!).

Hope the GTT goes OK kittiker but I know a few people who have had GD and it has been an inconvenience more than anything else - their babies were all born fine.

Am starting to get really excited about the baby now. I think till my 20 week scan I was holding back a bit in case something went wrong again but now I keep thinking about baby clothes and baby names and being off for mat leave. One of my close friends who lives round the corner just announced she is 12 weeks' pregnant too - woo! I collected my matB1 form from the midwife at the children's centre yesterday and checked out the timetable for baby groups. Dd will be at nursery 3 days a week and then school full time from Sept so I will have plenty of time to indulge in activities with the baby again - one bonus of it having taken so much longer than planned as I was expecting to have to do a lot more juggling!

mumxof3x · 16/01/2015 11:35

Longest yes it would make things easier for you. Hope you can get him behind the wheel again. Dp wants to do his test but its like I said to him hes always at work and its me who has to be stuck with bus journeys to school and back and college etc so itmakes more sense for me to do it. I cant wait untill the day comes lol.

Oh and in other news my dad still doesnt know, I just want it out in the open now, if this one follows ds3s footsteps and comes a tad early I will have just over 15wk left and I want to enjoy that time, not hide in it and have to watch what im saying all the time.

leanne963 · 16/01/2015 16:40

Eurgh had a bit of a scary moment earlier! Went to the loo and when I wiped I saw blown blood, then looked in my knickers and there was a large brown blood stain. I put a panty liner on and as I was walking around i felt some more come out and there was a few drops on the liner.
Rang triage and they were really good and asked about movement and whether I had lost any fluid. They said to keep an eye on it over the next few hours. Just annoying as it was my first day back to uni and I wanted to focus and during the lecture all I was thinking about was the baby and luckily she was moving and seemed fine. So scary. I just wanted to cry, I know it doesn't seem like a lot but whenever I get into my head that everything is going to go fine I get a little glitch.

Luckily it's mostly stopped now and there isn't a hint of proper red blood. I have had no sex whatsoever so it wasn't that, but I did have quite a bad cold yesterday and he sneezing was irritating my belly muscles. God knows. Sorry for the rant.

Chookford · 16/01/2015 16:48

leanne in sure that was terrifying! Glad baby is having a move about and letting you know she is ok... Hope it stops soon x

kittiker · 16/01/2015 17:00

Thanks for everyone's supportive messages - they really helped.. The appointment today was fine and quite reassuring. I'll just need to wait for the results now.

leanne963 · 16/01/2015 17:01

Thanks chook I'm just getting fed up of these worrying bleeds. I have never wanted her to be here in my arms so bad!! But it's good to know the Triage are so good and are there to help!!!

mumxof3x · 16/01/2015 18:12

Kittiker good luck with the results.

Leanne pretty worrying isnt it? I had some pink on wiping yesterday but then nothing else. Pregnancy eh, so worrying. Hope you are ok

Turquoisetamborine · 16/01/2015 18:42

Glad it turned out ok Leanne. Did they say what caused it?

bradders85 · 16/01/2015 19:06

Evening ladies and happy Friday! I have started with a bad cold and after having a mole biopsy and stitches in my back yesterday I am feeling sorry for myself!! I do have tonight's chippy tea to look forward to however! :) Just wondering what I am allowed to take to treat my cold does anyone have any advice? x

Mslad · 16/01/2015 19:19

Leanne and mum - hope you're ok? I can only imagine the horror of seeing some blood. I'm sure it will be filed into 'one of those things' categories, but scary right now. Take it easy this weekend.

Three thanks again for your kind words about diabetes. You really have put my mind at ease a little.

Good luck with your results kittiker

Happy weekend everyone- here's to putting our feet up for a bit (hopefully!)

thanks Tori, I will make myself a honey and lemon drink. Hope your sore throat gets better soon too, there is a lot going round at the moment!

d0ttyne11 · 16/01/2015 21:12

I've had a headcold for about a week and found blood when I was blowing my nose but that seems to be common during pregnancy. I spoke to a pharmacist on Wednesday and she said olbas oil was ok so been sniffing that a bit on a tissue to try and clear things.

How's everyone feeling? I think 2015 is flying so far! We're halfway through Jan now and I'll be finished work in 3 months!! Hurrah! Struggling with my motivation at work but v happy about the movement I can feel and that May's getting closer. It's exciting!!! Xx

Racheyg · 16/01/2015 21:37

Mum and bazza, good luck with the driving. I passed last feb and the best thing I ever did. Although my weight loss got slower as I wasn't walking everywhere. Grin even though I live in London it's nice not to struggle with the food shop or wait for oh.

Hope you are all feeling well. Xx
