Sounds great Tori! Individual treatments can get booked up but the rooftop pool (and an indoor pool in the basement with steam rooms) don't as people turn up on the day and pay for their 2 and a half hours so you will def get to go!
Am considering another Bumpmoon closer to due date-maybe Canturbury for the night. Want to make the most of just DH and I before we make three Grin

Sorry for a many post, but is anybody from back ache? Mine is upper back, like my rib cage, front and back. It's now really painful from the moment I sit at my desk, all day long, when watching TV in the evening and only goes away when I lie down. Am I just going to have to suck it up till May?

aberjen · 15/01/2015 09:48

Just glad to hear your appointment went well, and that you were able to arrive prepared! Wink

Mslad I've started with lower back pain recently. Also have a desk job but borrowed a colleagues 'wobble' cushion the other day and I think it is helping by keeping me moving even when sitting, so now have one of my own: www.amazon.co.uk/Sissel-Sitfit-Plus-Seat-Cushion/dp/B000W8K4QK/

I do sometimes think that from using that pain is shifting to my upper back, sort of where my bra sits, but think that's related to my terrible posture, as get that a bit even when not pg.

Mslad · 15/01/2015 10:54

Thanks aberjen - that wobble cushion looks interesting - I may have to invest in it. I think you're right though, that most of my pain is from bad posture and perhaps just made worse by pregnancy. Happy days Smile

aberjen · 15/01/2015 11:30

Mslad Office manager got mine for me - they wouldn't have done normally (although they do supply back supports etc if requested) but because I am pregnant, HR said the company could provide it on this occasion, so poss worth checking with HR/occupational health before spending your own hard-earned cash? Lovely pic, chook! Glad to hear you had good news.

Very mundane, but does anyone have any recommendations for maternity tights? I can't seem to find any that will stay up!

Threesoundslikealot · 15/01/2015 15:45

Great photo! Good luck for Monday.

Chookford · 15/01/2015 15:57

Gorgeous pic Chook Smile

kittiker · 15/01/2015 18:00

Ugh, feeling a bit stressed today. I was due to have a Glucose Tolerance test in a few weeks as I have family history of diabetes but I've been increasingly thirsty - it's insatiable now! I called my midwife really expecting her to say not to worry about it and instead I've got to go for the test first thing tomorrow. Big anxiety spike not helped by Dr Google!

Justyouwaitandsee · 15/01/2015 18:09

Aww try not to worry kittiker - at least they are listening to you and checking it out. By getting the test done sooner, they can hopefully either put your mind at ease or put a treatment / care plan in place of needed!

Threesoundslikealot · 15/01/2015 18:13

Oh, Kittiker. Don't get upset. Lots of women who do have gestational diabetes have no symptoms whatsoever, and thirst can be one of those annoying pregnancy symptoms of its own accord, so it's not necessarily that. And if it is, it's not that awful. I've been there. Just a few weeks off the chocolate and pasta!

Chookford · 15/01/2015 18:25

kitti hope all is ok, It's good you are being seen straight away and looked after!

KittyVonCatsington · 15/01/2015 18:32

Chookford Those scans photos are ace - love the close up of Baby's profile - so beautiful!

I've only bought one pair of maternity tights piglet and they were from JojoMamonBebe - not 100% brilliant but did the job comfortably. Have been preferring maternity trousers really, couldn't tell you why!!!!

kittiker - everything will be fine I'm sure - just reassurance I shouldn't wonder xx

Enjoy your lesson mumx!!

Mslad · 15/01/2015 18:44

Hope you're ok Kittiker It's something I'm quite worried about as I had blood tests when first pregnant, where my sugars were normal, but the 'high end' of normal. I'm now beating myself up about the amount of chocolate I scoffed over Christmas. Fingers crossed your test comes back ok, and it's nice to hear some reassuring words that it's not all doom even if it is diabetes. xxx

Chookford · 15/01/2015 18:49

Thanks kitty Smile

Threesoundslikealot · 15/01/2015 19:04

You can't 'give' yourself GD through what you eat, so don't worry about that. It's to do with the placenta. You can control it by eating minimal sugar but there's no connection with diet in pregnancy and having diabetes. So rest assured on that one!

Mslad · 15/01/2015 19:06

oh thanks three that has been playing on my mind!

Threesoundslikealot · 15/01/2015 19:16

No problem! And I should say that some people can control it. If someone needs medication, it just means they've been unlucky enough to get it badly, not that they've failed in any way.
