mslad hooray! Lovely news, congrats!

LinaDee · 11/01/2015 19:42

Congratulations mslad!!

KittyVonCatsington · 11/01/2015 19:42

Congratulations Mslad! Clever DH Flowers. Can we see a pic of your ring?!

I've had the dreaded piles exam from the GP Tori-really don't want to have to do that ever again! Turns out, no piles to be found. The bleeding is just a side effect from hard jagged stools and increased pregnancy blood flow, in my case. I've been taking 10mils of Lactulose twice a day since 10 weeks pregnant (4 bottles in total). Is not a miraculous cure giving birth will! but makes it less painful to go and I only bleed once every two or three weeks now.

applecore0317 · 11/01/2015 19:43

ah Congratulations Mslad!! that's great news :)

Blondie87 · 11/01/2015 19:49

Congratulations Mslad you have a lot to look forward to! How lovely.
Kitty your babymoon sounds fab! You've inspired me to persuade DH to take me on one! Your spa day sounds really nice too Leanne962.
Apple I suddenly feel like the bump is huge! I love it though, really enjoying looking like a pregnant lady!

Blondie87 · 11/01/2015 19:50

For some bump perspective

Constipation, engagements and piles. Bloody love this thread! I'm 24 weeks this week and wasn't going to count that at six months. Should I? I don't really feel like the first couple of weeks counted. Bath sounds like a good babymoon. We went to Singapore, Thailand, Hong kong, dubai, Istanbul and Prague in six weeks before DD. This seemed like a good idea as we were previous massive travellers and thought having a baby would be the end of fun as we knew it - which it totally was unfortunately! - but this was exhausting and I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have. Didn't have a glass of wine or valium to deal with jet lag as was PFB. Clearly I would this time. But no babymoon second time round as we are going to centre parcs! Oh the glamour!!

Scottishgal78 · 11/01/2015 19:58

Congratulations mslad and blondie you look amazing!

Mslad · 11/01/2015 20:09

Lovely bump blondie

Bean wow- I can't imagine travelling that much when pregnant! the commute to work is hard enough at the moment.

Kitty I'm not sure exactly what is involved in a piles examine, but know I'd prefer not to have on Grin

Thanks for the best wishes! I could post a ring picture, but at the moment its a cheap Claire's accessory red 'diamond' ring Smile He knew I'd prefer to pick my own

applecore0317 · 11/01/2015 20:15

love the bump pic blondie tried to upload mine but phone is low on memory

leanne963 · 11/01/2015 20:17

Beautiful bump Blondie Smile

Blondie87 · 11/01/2015 20:22

Bean that is an epic amount of travelling- seriously impressed! Mslad what a great shopping trip that will be.
Thanks everyone, got to embrace our changing bodies and be amazed at what they can do!

Threesoundslikealot · 11/01/2015 20:45

Congratulations, MsLad! My first engagement ring was a £5.99 one from Accessorise and a surprising number of people oohed and aahed over it, even while it was turning my finger green!

Hurray for more good scans. I found when I had my daughter, almost everyone I knew had girls, and then when I had my son, most people seemed to have boys. It was weird. Bets are off this time round as we're Yellow, although DH confessed the other night that he would like another girl.

My bump at 23 weeks is becoming pretty noticeable although sadly B-shaped! Having said that, at Zumba tonight I was still able to breath in enough for it to be not that obvious. (Took the opportunity to be in a room with mirrored walls to test this out.)

I am having lots of bleeding now when I poo, but it's a fissure which I know all about. Painful but not scary. There is treatment for fissures but I'm not sure if you can have them when pregnant. Possibly you can but I can't face trying to make a GP appointment and risk being hassled about my GTT refusal!

KittyVonCatsington · 11/01/2015 20:51

A fantastic bump there blondie!

Wow been a busy thread today, with a whole range of topics!
Kitty love the idea of a bumpmoon!! But not the piles exam ( although think I may need to have that as not sure if internal pile or fissure)

Lina hadn't thought about playing music next to bump....would he hear it at 22w+4? Got great image of a baby bopping away hehe

Ellstor when I went for my scan I was looking at other bumps in that way too so you aren't alone with that!

Scottish am pleased to hear that the crib looks good in real life, can't wait to go proper shopping hehe although will probably do ordering online via cash back sites :)

Snooky full caf coffee has helped me, I can't remember who suggested but I've been having one cup a day (rest decaf) and seems to be helping.

mum hope telling dad goes well for you :)

mslad huge congratulations! My engagement ring was (still is!) from argos, only £70 as we were saving for a house at the time :)

Bean impressive traveling!!

Lovely bump blondie!

Apple my bump is odd looking at mo - sometimes hard sometimes squishy (guess baby moving position is changing things?!)

Three mine is also b shaped, I want a nice round bump :(

Right had better get stuff ready for work now before bed Zzzz

Threesoundslikealot · 11/01/2015 21:26

Tori, not used one myself but a friend of mine is a fan. They are cheaper than other options. It's hard to think there can be a huge difference between lengths of stretchy fabric!

Tori - I have one that I used for dd. I bought it for a wedding as it was cheap enough to buy to match my outfit and loved it so much I never went back to my moby.
Congrats MsLad! Hope the ring shopping is fun :).
Dd took 2 hours to fall asleep tonight. Hopefully just a blip as she had a late, long afternoon nap when she normally only has 20mins around 11am.

Snooky17 · 11/01/2015 21:53

Congratulations Mslad on your engagement.
Thank you all for your advice, the fact that lots of others are experiencing the same things makes me breath a sigh of relief.
Am loving the start of bump envy, is this what blokes have with penis envy ?

BeanCalledPickle · 11/01/2015 21:59

One thing on the sling front, I found that a hot summer and acres of fabric were not a good combination. I bought a manduka at about three months and wished I'd bought one earlier, despite the hideous expense.
