Congrats on the scans ladies. Lovely news for you all.

The pram update is v helpful too. Planning a trip to John Lewis for a good look on Friday after our scan Smile

I am also amazed at how my body is changing. It's incredible isn't it. I am loving seeing this and wearing my maternity clothes too / feels like this is what I've been waiting for...!!

I've bought bigger bras but can't part from underwiring yet. I know I should but the ones without any wiring give me a total monoboob and given I'd a relatively small chest to start with these comfier bigger sized padded ones do seem too good to give up!

Wow - MAT1B forms getting issued now too. This is all kinda getting a bit real now isn't it!? X

leanne963 · 06/01/2015 19:58

OMG did anyone see ITV news just then? This woman's waters broke at 20 weeks and doctors suggested a termination as the baby wasn't viable, but she stuck to her guns and her child is 1 now.
They showed pictures and i can't believe my little girl is the same size, i still can't image an actual baby in my belly!! Was beautiful!

plinkyplonks · 06/01/2015 20:03

leanne963 - is this the one? About to watch it now! www.itv.com/news/2015-01-06/mother-who-ignored-advice-to-abort-had-to-give-son-a-chance/

Threesoundslikealot · 06/01/2015 20:04

Great news on all the scans! Especially Henry's little brother.

I drink as much coffee as I want as (a) I can go days without any and then have three in one go and (b) it does work wonders on my bowel. Blush I thought it was the first trimester when it was really an issue anyway?

My midwife posted me my MAT1B. And my hospital routinely does internal scans at 20 weeks (last time round they did them at 12 weeks too) but then it's Kings, who are bells and whistles anyway!

leanne963 · 06/01/2015 20:05

Yes that is the one plinky me and my partner was watching it open mouthed!!

Threesoundslikealot · 06/01/2015 20:05

And the waters broken woman didn't actually give birth till 25 weeks or do did she? I know that's still very early though!

Sunshinesaz86 · 06/01/2015 21:19

Evening ladies. Congrats on the scans glad all have gone ok.

Mamaged to get midwife appointment today following my random dizziness yesterday, and she checked everything blood pressure, heart beat, urine, all was ok, but waiting on bloods she said she thinks my blood pressure must of dropped so to be careful and keep an eye on it. But happy all is ok.

Haha re the boobs n bras I've been whipping mine off for the last 3 weeks desperate for maternity bras!

Also anyone bottle feeding there's a tommy tippee set on mother care reduced from £150 to £65! Bargain got steriliser, powder pots, bottle warmer, bottle bags etc all included, massive £85 saving! So exciting getting things now! Grin

SmileyScooby · 06/01/2015 21:32

Hi all,
I've got some catching up to do as haven't been on for a few days, am also getting confused over pushchairs etc...proper minefield!!
We found out we are team blue, both really happy Grin (think it was what we both secretly wanted for our first!) however will be monitored bit more as baby has a growth on one lung but apparently shouldn't affect baby unless grows and may go away (fingers crossed!). We are happy though as Drs not too worried etc, will have some extra scans so get to see our little boy wriggling around some more - and boy does he wriggle in a scan!

Turquoisetamborine · 06/01/2015 22:14

smileyscooby glad you'll be getting extra care and scans, sure everything will be alright with him.

Congrats on all the scans, especially here we go for your angel sent from Henry (lovely name, that).

sunshine glad you saw the midwife. Probably is your blood pressure. Take it easy and get your feet put up when you can.

My lovely bargain maxi Cosi cabriofix has arrived to go with my bargain Bugaboo. Both need to be hidden tomorrow as a mortgage lady is coming round so we can hopefully buy the house we live in off my dad. We already rent a house out but this is our forever home. I don't want her to know I'm pregnant as that would limit the amount of mortgage we can get so I'll be in very baggy clothes. Fingers crossed!

FeelingBlessed77 · 06/01/2015 22:26

congratulations on all the good scans.

FeelingBlessed77 · 07/01/2015 03:44

DF snoring so bad. I have packed myself off to the sofa. now I can't sleep.

Sunshinesaz86 · 07/01/2015 07:45

Thanks turqouise good luck with your mortgage man!

smily I'm glad the docs have said they're not too concerned and as the others have said at least you'll be having regular checks to keep an eye on everything.

Yesterday I had to send a long email to my manager basically saying we need to make a plan for mat leave as our holidays are Xmas to Xmas and I cannot carry them over to next yr so my last working day could be as early as 29/3!! Argh!! So I need someone to run my offices and a plan in place as apparently according to my risk assessor I'm not even supposed to be doing appointments on my own after 20 weeks. No one in the company even knew about this so at some point I need to cut down to lighter duties. It's scary how quickly it will come round but I'm getting stressed not having a plan. Fortunately he phoned me straight away and said he has a plan and will discuss it soon and just do what I can within reason, so that made me feel better. Anyone else know when they finish for mat leave?

KittyVonCatsington · 07/01/2015 07:46

Hope you got some sleep Feeling and your mortgage visit goes well Turquoise!

Off to see MW this morning (always feels odd not going into work!) and my notes say at this appointment I should get MATB1 form . Also secretly can't wait to hear Baby's HB again!

Am loving my bumpage too! I've attached a photo I took on Christmas Day of my bump - I love having a bump and feel more happy and excited now, than at any previous stage of the pregnancy Grin

Even if your normal company policy is no carrying over you ought to be able to tag it on to the end of your mat leave if you want to.

My last day will be 8 May. I work in government and that's the day after the election so quite handy!

Threesoundslikealot · 07/01/2015 08:13

Yes, check your leave policy. Ours is no carry over except for maternity. I hope to work pretty much right up to the birth to save paid leave for later on, based on having felt completely fine the whole way through second time, but I'm lucky as I do a job in government too and work will be very quiet in April, so I can work from home that whole month more or less.

longestlurkerever · 07/01/2015 08:20

Ooh, I rashly told dsis I would store her wedding dress for her and it just arrived. Getting vicariously excited. It's in september. dd and I are bridesmaids and dsis says I can dress the new baby to match too. Quite tearful to think after all the heartache of ttc and mcs my family will finally be complete!

KittyVonCatsington · 07/01/2015 08:25

Sunshine My proposed m/leave date is three weeks before EDD, so 11th April, so should have enough time to get all my exam classes through.

Being a teacher, we can't bank holiday time (hence quite useful to have a September baby so you have 6 weeks holiday prior to birth and can go back to work the following July and get paid for the next 6 weeks holiday Grin ).

FeelingBlessed77 · 07/01/2015 08:35

Got a little sleep. Thanks kitty. doesn't help that I have a wisdom tooth coming through at moment. so I was in pain with that as well. anyone else suffering from toothache.

KittyVonCatsington · 07/01/2015 08:45

Sounds perfect longest -it will be a lovely wedding!

I've not had toothache feeling but have had soft gums and some bleeding. I'm brushing with Cordosyl toothpaste and rinsing with the Cordosyl mouthwash, which has helped Smile

Scottishgal78 · 07/01/2015 09:00

Aw Kitty you look amazing in that pic. Exactly how I woshed I looked. You're about 3?weeks ahead of me but my bump is nowhere near as pronounced and I fear I've put weight on in other places tooGrin

Scottishgal78 · 07/01/2015 09:01

wished bloody phone. I looked back over some of my other posts the other day and some of them don't even make sense!Grin

Scottishgal78 · 07/01/2015 09:16

Have also just found that if I use a* at either side of a name that's how you tag people! Always slow on the uptake!

d0ttyne11 · 07/01/2015 09:25

I can't tell you how much I like reading all these posts and hearing how you are all doing Smile

sunshine - I'm going to finish for mat leave on 15th April. DH's birthday! Counting down already.... Yet lots to do!
