Thanks ladies, I'll try the fybogel and keep eating the bran flakes!

Bustherb, Number3 is right. My scan is Friday, I'll be 13+2 days (in theory) but I was worried in case I am further on as my cycle is very wobbly, but my midwife said they give a cut-off date of 13+6, but you can have the test up to 14+2.

As for maternity clothes, I just can't find anything I like?!

Number3cometome · 30/12/2014 12:57

Bustherb I want a scan now!! Mine isn't for another 2 weeks on Thursday and OH refuses to let me have a private scan haha.

Can't wait to see how much the kidney bean has grown! x

headlesschicken247 · 30/12/2014 13:29

Good luck to you all. I'm going to sign off now. Scan showed my worst fears

Overtiredbackagain · 30/12/2014 13:32

Oh Headless, I am so sorry to hear this. I hope you have plenty of support and you take good care of yourself xx

Pipbin · 30/12/2014 13:35

Oh no headless. I'm sure you have stopped following the thread, but I'll say it anyway.
So sorry for your news, there is nothing that I can say that will help but please know you are in my thoughts.

Number3cometome · 30/12/2014 13:43

Headless so so sorry for your news, I hope that your family are supporting you at this time, and it goes without saying that we are all sending lots of love and thoughts your way xxx

Thepurplegiraffe · 30/12/2014 13:48

Headless, I am so so sorry that is horrible news. I hope you have lots of rl support but just in case you are reading this there are some really supportive mc threads on mn that really helped me and lots of others. When you are ready ttc after mc is a particularly lovely one. Thinking of you. Thanks

Leela5 · 30/12/2014 14:03

:( I'm so sorry headless Flowers that's just heartbreaking

broodylicious · 30/12/2014 14:10

Oh headless, I'm so sorry Hmm Please take care of yourself and make sure you talk and grieve. I second what purple has said - there are some amazing women on those threads who will hold your virtual hand through this awful ordeal. Sending much love xx

misseskimo · 30/12/2014 14:17

headless really sorry to hear your news Flowers

overtired I can vouch for fybogel too. I've used it on two occasions now, and both times been really helpful. Also since I started eating Shreddies for breakfast it's been alot better!

Tallgiraffe is your 20wk scan date correct? Your EDD is only a day after mine and mine is in feb, yours is down as april!?

charlieis30 · 30/12/2014 14:30

Hello everyone, just popping in to introduce myself as I'm finally starting to hope this pregnancy might be the one.

TTC#1, me 31, dh 43. MC Feb 2014, MC Aug 2014 (trisomy) and finally preg again with due date 26 July 2015! Third time's (hopefully) the charm!

Have had a few scans so far this pregnancy and as all seems to be developing well I'm biting the bullet and joining the thread. Had booking in today and freaked out (tears, hyperventilation) so lovely midwife gave me a super quickie look at the baby and the HB is still there! Hopefully that will keep me going until my official 12w scan.

waving hello to some familiar faces from the post-MC threads!

misseskimo · 30/12/2014 14:34

Had my dating scan this morning, and been brought forward a whole week. Now dating at 13wks (which is what the EPU said last week) and new EDD is 7th July - so lots of dd twins now!

Had real trouble getting a good image on the scan, took almost an hour! Which considering my other 3 scans were all perfect shots first time, it was really frustrating! First not enough fluids (even though I had the same amount of water for my other scans and they were fine), then too much water so had to go "let a little out", then too much again! Then baby wouldn't stay still, was upright, upside-down and then curled up. Then baby fell asleep! So the sonographer kept asking me to wiggle around on the bed whilst she was poking my full bladder stomach to try and wake baby up and get it into the right position... Finally got the shots she wanted, and she also gave me a freebie, which was when the baby decided to do a kind of somersault almost in protest at her constant poking, and it just started kicking it's legs out over and over which she thought was hilarious, so she took a photo and gave it to me as a freebie Wink

Pictures attached!

Got my 16wk mw apt booked in for 21st Jan and 20wk scan date booked for 18th Feb whilst I was there. That really doesn't seem that far away!! Also got my Bounty Mum to Be pack, which has some vouchers ans free samples to use as well as a baby product guide book.

Lovely pics Misseskimo!

I want my scan!! [stamps foot on floor] Grin

NotPennysBoat · 30/12/2014 14:59

Aw miss great pics, I love the one of baby kicking his legs out!

NotPennysBoat · 30/12/2014 15:00

Not sure why I said 'his' there - sorry! (Or maybe awkward/cheeky = boy in my mind!).

Number3cometome · 30/12/2014 15:02

Miss aww that's lovely! Especially like the kung foo kick picture!

I'll change your date on the stats x

Number3cometome · 30/12/2014 15:03

Someone has done the stats already Grin

Number3cometome · 30/12/2014 15:04

Has anyone bought a fetal heart monitor? I read that you can hear the baby's heartbeat from 9 weeks. I am so tempted but scared at the same time!!

misseskimo · 30/12/2014 15:12

Thanks ladies :) I actually prefer the kicking out picture!

Thanks number I already did that before I posted, or else I would certainly forget! Haha. Not thought about a monitor. I have a stethoscope at home which I'll use nearer the end of pg just for the experience, but other than that I don't think anything else will be in the budget Sad

Butler4 · 30/12/2014 15:25

So sorry headless chicken for your loss.

Number3 thanks for changing the stats.
Anther question: did anyone else find out they had rhusus AB negative blood at their midwife appt after bloods? Typical! Always need to be different! Hmm

Number3cometome · 30/12/2014 15:29

Butler4 Wow you are a super rare blood group!

Good in a way, because you can have blood from any other blood group.

Boo about the rhesus neg though, I guess you will have to have the injections?

I'm O+ common as muck Grin

Overtiredbackagain · 30/12/2014 15:30

Butler, I'm Rhesus A Negative, only found out when expecting DC1 but it hasn't caused me any problems, I just had the two anti D jabs offered during both previous pregnancies, and I will again this time round.

broodylicious · 30/12/2014 15:33

Another rhesus negative here too butler. Means our blood is in demand as it's universal. In pg, just means we need to be uber careful not to get knocked or bashed or we get to have another anti d shot to protect us and babySmile

WantToGoingTo · 30/12/2014 15:49

number no I am due 24 July!

Butler4 · 30/12/2014 15:52

Oh how exciting, nice to speak to others out there. I only found out last week. Don't know how I made it to 31 without knowing my blood group! Oops! Sounds pretty straight forward with the injections though.
Yeah I'm just trying to be more careful than normal! I'm quite clumsy anyway.
I thought it meant we can only have the specific blood group as it was so uncommon?? Or that's what the midwife said. Gave me a card for my purse and told me to keep it at all times in case I have an accident can only have specific blood!
