Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 18th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 35th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I've just been looking through my phone at all of the old photos and videos! Grin I can't stress enough TAKE VIDEOS of your babies and toddlers. Even if its something boring or what they do every day! I can barely remember DD being that small until I watch them and then they make me cry happy tears at how cute she was/ is! Hmm Hormones! Grin

ZylaB · 18/12/2014 21:57

Good luck min :)

Nessalina · 18/12/2014 22:09

How have you all done 5 pages of post since 2pm?? I have a baby now y'know, it's hard to catch up!! Grin
Right then... starts from the beginning

JuniDD · 18/12/2014 22:23

Lauren I already do that and she's only 8 weeks old!

JuniDD · 18/12/2014 22:27

As in look back and feel happy/sad. It's so bittersweet.

On breastfeeding - definitely get Lansinoh in and put in before and after each feed. Top tip from the midwives was don't allow a crappy latch. Take the baby off 20 times if you have to. Easy to say, particularly when you're knackered, but remember the nipples are important.

RPopz · 18/12/2014 23:01

I got some Lanisoh for my hospital bag... glad you're all singing its praises as it cost about 12 bloody quid for a miniscule tube!! Do you use much?

Good luck Min - they do say it's the best thing to get things moving... that and nipple stimulation and shagging.... phew Hmm

Manky cm and gallons of it seems to be par for the course with this pg lark indigo ... I actually had some shoot out and run down my leg this morning Shock (we're past tmi right??). How you're supposed to know when your waters go I DO NOT KNOW Hmm Like La says as long as its not bloody you're all good Smile

RPopz · 18/12/2014 23:05

Also, fleur I'm with wil here.... none of his fudging business whether you bf or not! If you're uncomfortable with it, it'll only stress you and baby out... You might find you have a change of heart later on, but either way, it's YOUR choice x

JuniDD · 18/12/2014 23:20

fleur your DH could take a leaf out if MrJ's book. He reckons how I feed DD is up to me! Luckily bf is going well.

My first tube of Lansinoh lasted about six weeks. I now have a massive stockpile as it was on offer in Boots. Love it. Their breast pads are the nicest too. I have their pump also but not tried yet.

DD is all sleepy from her jabs so I had a long nap earlier and now wide awake. Bet she wakes as I lie down!

TheBooMonster · 18/12/2014 23:38

la another vote here for dear old Ewan, he worked miracles on DD, we've hidden him away to use for bump and DD will be getting his slightly more grown up counterpart the sheepdog!

min keep pumping!

We had our friends over this evening, I almost single handedly cooked the most colossal roast and it's all gone! I have no bubble and squeak for tomorrow :( DH bought some of that Eisberg wine for us to have with the meal because we have drivers and someone who is annoying enough sober so I figured it was worth a whirl and worst case scenario we could turn it into mulled wine. I'm the only one who drank it in the end, but having had basically all the bottle, I have to say the slightly watered down taste has grown on me somewhat! However I have the worst gas in the world, I think mostly due to all the veg, I'll give our friends their dues, none of them mentioned it because they all thought it was someone else but I struggled not to giggle like a school girl the whole evening childish as hell

willywallace · 19/12/2014 02:43

Juni maybe don't leave it too long before trying a bottle or it can be hard to get them to take one.

The lansinoh lasts a good while, well as you get more used to feeding you need less I think. If you ever see any on offer, buy it. Usually cheaper in supermarkets.

I have period cramps. Hoping it is poo related.

FurryScoob · 19/12/2014 07:16

Ibuprofen is good for post birth stitches, some hospitals give you it but mine didn't so takes some with you just incase.
Ewan the sheeps got magical baby sleeping powers & definatly worth it as an extra if you want 1.

I bought 3 bottles before even though I fully intended to bf, we didn't have any support for the first 2 weeks & Skyla didn't feed well so I've ended up combination feeding until my milk supply recovers. The 3 bottles I bought have been a lifesaver, asda have them on offer for £10 usually.

I had the drip induction, contractions ramp up pretty quick but it was all over in 4 hours not nearly as bad as the horror stories I had been told before.

Good luck min

Leela5 · 19/12/2014 07:16

Morning! Does brand of nappy matter? Are pampers superior for some reason? Or do huggies float your boat? Will tesco own brand do ?

My sil is going down the Eco eoute. I'd live to do that but they are very expensive

Minion · 19/12/2014 07:23

la, everyone I've talked to praises mamia nappies at aldi. They've won awards too.
They use these for the days and pampers for night.
furry, so the drip was ok? Did u have gel before?

willywallace · 19/12/2014 07:24

Apparently work out cheaper in the end if you have more than one kid La. We didn-t use them though.

Nappies are trial and error. I have found different ones better for different stages. Tesco ones are great as are most shops own ones although for babies, as opposed to toddlers, I never liked Asda ones. Thought Huggies were shite. Pampers are good for wee ones but I think overall I preferred Tesco. It doesn't seem to make that much of a difference once they get a bit older. Aldi have seemed ok too.

I was so close to calling midwife in the night. Was up from 2.30-4.30. Still have period pains and back discomfort and was having lots of Braxton Hicks. But I have a midwife app this morning anyway so figured I would wait for that. Slightly crapping myself.

Leela5 · 19/12/2014 07:31

Min when are you going in for another check?

Wil you poor thing, hope you get to appointment today and all is well

Thanks so much to everyone for answering my questions. Going to do some research this weekend

Leela5 · 19/12/2014 07:34

They are selling lansinoh at John Lewis for £6.66

willywallace · 19/12/2014 07:38

Thanks La, might order some later, that's a great price.

Minion · 19/12/2014 07:49

la, I turned down another sweep for yesterday. Just don't think it's possible for it to do any less. So assuming all ok this weekend, Monday I'm in and not coming out till I have a fat snugly pink baby to show for it.
I have also tempted the lady of fate.
We WILL go the cinema on Sunday to watch mocking jay. We have also told the squatter that we now want her to stay in there till after christmas.
THAT should do it surely?

Really must get some lansinoh, thanks for the reminder.

FurryScoob · 19/12/2014 07:49

Oooooo will could we have the first syncro birth? good luck!

I was supposed to have the gel but my waters went on their own while I was waiting for it to be put in. Got contractions going by tweeting nipples but couldn't keep them going so had the drip. You can have an epidural before its put In but that increases chances of interventions so I decided to crack on with it & get an epidural if it got to much. By the time I wanted an epi I was minutes away from pushing & never got 1. Only the cannula would put me off doing it again but I'm shit with needles! Blush

laurenamium · 19/12/2014 07:50

Good luck today wil! When are you due? Might the Braxton's be the real thing?

Leela5 · 19/12/2014 07:50

Mothercare same price too - we don't have mothercare, I'd have to make a special trip

I'm going to look into Eco biodegradable nappies but I don't want to compromise comfort/fit so will check reviews. We don't have anywhere to dry terry nappies so really it will just be a rod for my back if I go down that route!

DulcetMoans · 19/12/2014 07:51

Likely to be late for work from the epic catch up! Christmas do yesterday so not around all afternoon then had to work when I got home as there's a shit storm brewing... So much for being last working day today. I'll be fixing the fuck ups of others. Angry face.

Mmmmm roast dinner pumps boo! The best kind. Haha.

Got a little bit post-pregnancy focused with the lists there. Bloody scary reading! So much stuff! I'm hoping to do reusable nappies for when at home, disposables if we go out. But not looking anything up until Jan.

Hope you're ok wil. What time is MW?

Leela5 · 19/12/2014 07:52

Tweeting nipples? Smile

Definitely go LOS min!

Good luck ladies. I need to get up, I'm late for work

RPopz · 19/12/2014 07:57

Hope you're both ok Wil and Min xx

We've got some Aldi nappies - they are an amazing price and I've heard good things. I would've liked to try reusable nappies but no tumble drier... winter baby... seemed a bit of a challenge. I think the initial outlay is more but it does work out cheaper overall. Plus a lot of councils offer financial incentives/ cash back offers if you go reusable - worth looking in to x

FurryScoob · 19/12/2014 08:00

Ha ha oops, can you tell I'm sleep deprived? Grin I mean tweaking!
