Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 18th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 35th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Yay Popz! Update when you're fit and able!

Dulcet, this DS turned around at our 12 weeker and looked like a spooky Halloween skull!!!

Ah congratulations Popz and MrP, do tell us all when you're ready, hope you're enjoying the snuggles Smile

Great news there's a baby in there dulcet Grin Hope you can relax a little bit now.

We have the Tutti Bambini ?Philipo furniture. Great quality and match my sliding chair. DD now has a single trunk bed so the cotbed is ready to returned to its cot-state once the junk is cleared out of the nursery. Fleur, I loved the look of the stokke sleepi but couldn't justifythe price tag. Our changing bad was the free one that came with the boots baby club membership.

Our buggy is the Mamas and Papas somethingorother. Came with a free cybex aton car seat which was perfect as it's the lightest around (or was three years ago!). Good system: with a proper mattress, the carry cot was DD's bed for the first 5 months, and it's good on muddy paths Smile Back wheels wide though, I had to take one off if I wanted it in the car boot Blush Sling is a stretchy from VSL and carriers are a beco gemini and a little life explorer. All are ace Smile

wow popz congratulations! hope all is well. looking forward to your update.

dulcet I'm so pleased to hear your scan went well. I'm truly over the moon for you.

indigo great news on your scan too. hope you start panicking a little less now you've heard the hb.

la I have to admit I haven't checked reds blog for a bit but I do find it in my bookmarks and have a peak every now and then.

getting jealous of you all buying baby stuff! I'm knitting baby stuff though. probably shouldn't be but f**k it! I have a bruise on each leg now. a massive one from yesterdays injection.

Hope you're back soon Honey.

I'm panicking a bit - I get a blocked nose every night and had read it was fine to use vicks inhaler during pregnancy. Just realised I've been an absolute idiot and what I've been using is nasal spray not inhaler and I got mixed up.

I don't think it's ok for use in pregnancy :(. What if I've done some harm?

Report
Leela5 · 03/01/2015 02:40

I've been using it one spray per night - I'm hoping I've not harmed my baby, what am idiot.

Chat - any chance you could reassure me? I'm freaking out a bit :(

Report
willywallace · 03/01/2015 04:46

La it'll just be that there is no data on it so they can't guarantee the safety. There doesn't seem to be any evidence of any harm being caused. Lots of people take medications throughout pg for other conditions with no ill effects and people drink, smoke, take drugs... It'll be fine. Stop taking it from now on but don't worry - it's such a small amount and I'm sure it has a mostly local effect.

Not sure what else you can take though. Have you tried an antihistamine? Cetirizine Hydrochloride is ok to take.

Report
willywallace · 03/01/2015 04:51

No adequate human data, no teratogenic effect has been reported in first trimester exposure, but frequent, chronic doses late in pregnancy causes uterine vessels' constriction with subsequent fetal hypoxia, bradycardia and non reactive NST. Recommended therapeutic doses has no risk to the fetus.

Thank you wil, phew! Grin

Will just have to look up other ways. I can't sleep without using something

Not up at 3am yet...! Looked on a couple of US sites (nhs one just says ask your doc...) :)

baby centre - answer is yes, probably fine.

drugs.com - answer is no problems reported but very little data. So relax! Try a saline nasal spray maybe? Or ask the GP if there is a recommended decongestant, though I would expect it to be that one as it's available freely.

How was your first night, Popz?

Dulcet do you still have the cold? This one is just not buggering off - hate being awake half the night.

Also is anyone else ridiculously hot all the time? Must be the hormones, I remember it from bf last time but don't remember it kicking in before baby was born. Having to sleep with the window open in January.

Morning viroids! I hope you had a good first night popz!

wil are you excited/ nervous yet?! Grin

My bump feels really tight since I woke up today, really hard and heavy like there's a huge boulder in there!

Report
Leela5 · 03/01/2015 09:20

We always have window open because we get too hot - scots living in south east!

I'm getting funny little cramps on and off in bottom left of my womble. Not painful just odd.

Report
willywallace · 03/01/2015 09:35

Had both the cramps and the boulder feelings girls, don't worry.

Wouldn't say excited Lauren, but possibly a bit overwhelmed! Still doesn't seem very real. If I'm being brutally honest I have had a hard time bonding with this wee one since the start. It's getting better now I'm off work and have time to sit about and contemplate things but it's almost as if I can't imagine having another one around. Which then worries me that something is going to go wrong. Am sure this is all ridiculous. Also starting to wonder how the hell I'm going to get two of them ready and out the house by 9 o'clock to go to MiniWil's various activities. Especially as she likes a lie in as much as me Grin .

DulcetMoans · 03/01/2015 10:48

Still going with the cold wil, yeah. So snotty! I am getting better slowly but it's lingering. I have had hear issues with it in case the two are related for you...??

DH was there la. Couldn't see him for most of it as he was kind of sat behind me but he did give me a little squeeze. We aren't really criers but he was happy, mainly to prove me wrong! Wink

What ya knitting lil?! I got a seeing machine for Christmas so need a seeing project!

Wonderful news dulcet, I'm over the moon for you both. I cried too, Haven't stopped in fact.
Stock up on tissues!
Sorry I've been MIA, having a newborn is endless rounds of eat, bum, sleep and sterilising.
No time for mn! Ironic really

Pisghetti · 03/01/2015 12:06

DP is at the airport! Unfortunately at the start of the journey so he won't be back in the UK until tomorrow Hmm but I'm so excited! It's like Christmas again Smile

I felt a bit like that last time Wil I just couldn't relate the 'being pregnant' to actually having a baby and couldn't get my head around it. I was so horrified when I initially found out I was pregnant that I then spent the rest of the feeling horribly guilty that if anything went wrong I'd have brought in on myself. It was a nice introduction to the world of maternal guilt!

I've been sat in bed MNing and face booking all morning. I really need to get up.....!

mini I have the pioneer and flipping love it. Handles brilliantly. I found the changing bag a bit naff - too small and not enough pockets.

Injections are ok wil. I kinda imagined ivf would take over my life the minute it started, but realistically it's just 10 minutes each morning.

dulcet i'm knitting a bib atm, then planning on some little trousers to match the jumpers i made when we first started trying.
I don't use my sewing machine much but my friend does a lot of quilting and bought a machine to do that. Perhaps you could give that a go?

Yes make a quilt! I'd love a nice baby quilt.

Are the photos on the fb page?

Oh meant to say thanks Pis. It's nice when someone understands so you don't think I'm being some awful person admitting that. I think a lot of it is having a toddler which takes all my focus off being pg.
