Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 18th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 35th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Fucking bullshitting Mothercare again. The woman in the shop told me the warranty on the pram wouldn't start til the baby's due date (we bought it in July). Just been on Silver Cross website and apparently that is total crap. So 6 months warranty gone already and we only took it out it the box tonight Angry Angry Angry Angry

lildottie · 29/12/2014 23:20

am I.the only one who wouldn't want to know baby's sex? its like opening Christmas presents early to me - I like a surprise!

zyla we can be scan buddies - my first ivf scan is 14th Grin

ChatEnOeuf · 29/12/2014 23:22

Ooh the tossers Popz. The warranty has to start from when you bought it otherwise you could do anything to it in the interim and claim!

I was the same at first, Fleur and still a bit now - it does pass.

Loving the stealth pizza action Grin

Zyla that's an excellent gift, I've received three tubs of stretch mark cream. I am not amused!

Have the sanctuary stopped selling their amazing mum to be bath crystals? I loved them last time around and even bought some for myself after DD arrived. Couldn't find them anywhere today Sad On a more positive note, I've splashed out on a gorgeous knit dress only £9.50 with sale and vouchers, should have been over £100 Shock Grin

ChatEnOeuf · 29/12/2014 23:24

Nope, Lil I don't either. Kept it a surprise with DD and it was the perfect way to find out.

willywallace · 29/12/2014 23:27

Bargain Chat!

Think there's a few of us don't know what we're having Lil. Popz and I don't anyway.

I have a bug which has totally wiped me out and I'm starting to get stressed about everything which needs done. Hope I don't have an early arrival.

ZylaB · 29/12/2014 23:36

boo yay for standing up to them, don't let them mess you about! (And secret pizza eating sounds ace ;) )

pis can we give you a mafia name of pis3seats or something? Grin

popz I'm still waiting to see if bloody Mothercare live up to their latest promise to us! High it was from someone who had been passed on our details after I emailed their md, so my hopes are higher.

lil yay for scan buddies, what's your first scan for? To check follicles?

chat that's a hell of a bargain, well done you!

wil rest and feel better, no stressing over anything lady!

TheBooMonster · 29/12/2014 23:42

The pizza was incredible, thought the woman who delivered my lunch pizza was still on shift Blush she said "I'm sure I've delivered round here recently" brushed it off with the fact that the houses all look the same whilst praying she wouldn't push any further because DH had followed me to the door O.o

chat I've not come across sanctuary bath crystals... I wants them though...

TheBooMonster · 30/12/2014 00:10

best thread ever on AIBU this evening ladies www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/2259131-To-think-that-this-is-the-most-embarrassing-thing-to-happen-to-anyone-ever?pg=3 my favourite quote so far "Woman has five kids, she's no stranger to penis"

laurenamium · 30/12/2014 08:49

Excellent bargain skills chat!

I have family coming over from Australia and arriving today Grin can't wait to see them!

minimooo · 30/12/2014 09:13

Great bargain chat!

Exciting stuff lil, hope the injections aren't too nasty. I'm not sure i could do that myself, I'd keep fainting!

Rest up and take it easy wil. Easier said than done though, I know.

Oh no popz! What a pain! I have heard really crap things about mothercare, they seem to be on a mission to provide the crappiest service possible.
Have I read it right that you have bought a Silver Cross? Which one did you go for? I'm seriously considering the Silver Cross Pioneer (with Simplicity car seat) but can't find that many reviews on it, so can't quite commit to the decision.

Hope you have fun with the rellies lauren!

I'm off to look at kitchens today. We've decided to try and get the kitchen done before the littl'un arrives Hmm

laurenamium · 30/12/2014 09:30

Ohhh new kitchens mini GrinGrin I love shopping far too much!

lildottie · 30/12/2014 09:32

zyla first one is to check liming is thin and ovaries are dormant. all being well they will then tell me to start stimms injections on top of what I'm already doing.

injections aren't too bad mini, definitely pushed needle in with less hesitation this morning. most frustrating thing is I don't know whether to expect AF or not. I've had tiny bits of brown spotting. gone a bit crampy this morning so maybe she'll turn up today.

glad I'm not alone in the surprise thing wil. dh would rather know so I may have a battle to win when we get to it! I can be very convincing though - and I have needles to leverage with (that sounds like I'll stab him with them but you know what I mean!)

RPopz · 30/12/2014 09:39

Mothercare are appalling. We had so many issues with them with our nursery furniture... I went on their fb page to complain a lot at the time and it is FULL of people making similar complaints. The customer service team just don't give a shit. I'd avoid if possible.

Mini - we've got the Surf2 and we got a Simplicity car seat free with it. Think the Surf is just slightly lighter and slimmer than the Pioneer. Pioneer is a much nicer price though (Mum paid for ours!)... Think Juni has one - you could ask her how she's getting on with it. I've seen a lot of them about, they seem to be a popular choice Smile

Hope you feel better soon Wil. No stressing!

RPopz · 30/12/2014 09:40

We're having a surprise too Lil Smile I can't wait. Glad the injections are bearable... I'd be a total wimp I think!

Good bargain effort Chat Grin

Leela5 · 30/12/2014 09:44

Hey y'all

Sounds like you're all having exciting days with rellies and kitchen shopping! I'm making nye party canapés today - going to do tomato and feta tartlets and some salmon and cream cheese crackers.

Dh has gone to work so it's just me and the gingers.

Starting to worry about next week's 12-week scan. Dulcet and fleur when are yours? I'm 12 weeks Friday but will be 13 when I have scan.

I can't decide whether to announce pg or not on the dreaded Facebook after scan. My instinct says no because I'd rather let it filter out, but we don't live near our friends anymore and have loads of folk abroad so it would be an easy way to let them all know. I've told most close friends and family.

I'm getting lots of twinges at night still, it does make me roll about a bit but I find it quite comforting.

Pis - 3 car seats!!??? 3? Wow!

The world of buggies and car seats has so far eluded me. Need to dive in at some point. I've been looking at baby monitors though - I like idea of digital video one with sensors so was thinking the angel care one. Can anyone recommend? Baby will be through 3 doors upstairs so need a good one.

Also want one of those rocking chair things that madly rock baby back and forward. My friends swear by them!

Boo I saw that thread, hilarious!

I go on the pet threads sometimes. It's depressing how many folk buy pets THEN post 'how do I look after it?'. My response is always buy a fucking book on the pet and read up!

Lauren - horse shopping! What's she looking for? I'm going to see mine today, he's having Physio. Loaner is back from holiday so I need to have a very gentle but stern word about his care. Ie how did you not notice he was sore?

Mothercare sound shite!

Leela5 · 30/12/2014 09:46

We are not finding out sex, I want a surprise

minimooo · 30/12/2014 09:48

Thanks popz, I'll take a look at the Surf as well (I think PIL might be paying for ours!) Smile

Leela5 · 30/12/2014 09:58

How did you get car seat free popz?

minimooo · 30/12/2014 10:06

la I've just discovered smoked salmon and cream cheese (not a big fish eater) oh my god, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! Mmmmm, the thought of canapés is making me hungry now! Grin

Scans are so nerve wracking but just keep remembering that statistics are on your side, especially since you had a good scan a couple of weeks ago. Hope time doesn't drag too much between now and next week.
Re Facebook, it's a really personal (and difficult ime) decision and you need to do whatever you feel most comfortable with. Personally, I waited until the 20-week scan because I wasn't able to feel relaxed and excited about the pregnancy until that point (anxiety issues that I've been in counselling for all year), but like I say, it's totally personal to each individual. Maybe see how you feel after the 12-week scan and go from there Smile

Sorry to hear about your horse - good that you're able to still keep a close eye on him and arrange the treatment he needs though.

RPopz · 30/12/2014 10:19

It was just an offer mothercare were doing at the time La Can't remember if it was specific to that model of pram or if it was on all silver cross prams. Saved us 200 quid anyway! Grin

Very organised making canapes! Are you having a party? Hope your horsey is ok Sad

Eurgh, I've not discovered the pet freds. Will stay away I think! Some friends of ours recently got a puppy... Very little research done. I ended up lending them puppy pens and books and leads and all sorts for her. They sent her back to the breeder after a month cos she was "interfering with their lives too much" Shock Hmm Angry Angry They seemed to expect her to be fully trained in a week! Managed to hold my tongue as they are friends of ours. Hopefully the poor thing will get a decent home soon.

Fb is tricky. I think of it as a sort of village noticeboard type thing... We told important people in person. A couple of days after the 12wk scan we put it on their just as a quick easy way to blanket tell people. I always used to be anti fb announcements... but it is lovely to read the nice messages people leave Blush Personal decision though. I felt like the majority of my anxiety evaporated after the 12 week scan so I was "safe" to tell people.

Pisghetti · 30/12/2014 10:22

I didn't find out with DS and quite liked that we had a surprise. I was also a little concerned that his dad had expressed a very strong preference for a boy so my thinking was that if we had a girl but didn't find out until she arrived then he'd be bowled over by the baby regardless of gender.

I didn't officially announce on Facebook. But DP did upload a couple of photos of us on a walk in which I have a very obvious bump - I've since made one of those my profile pic so if anyone wasn't sure they know now!

OP posts:
TheBooMonster · 30/12/2014 10:43

DD was a 'yellow' baby, it encouraged us to get unisex stuff like crib bedding and the travel system as apposed to tonnes of pink or blue, lots of people waited till they found out the sex to buy things for her though so we had tonnes of pink and lilac yack in no time! This time it made sense to find out as we saved all of DD's clothes so I wanted to know whether to inventory it to sell / trade for teeny shirts and waistcoats or not!

We haven't announced on Facebook as such, but I made some pretty obvious status updates, some people know and we have veiled and some not so veiled conversations on posts about it, others are a bit oblivious and will be surprised when we put up a picture of bump, I'm going to wait till my birthday (in May) and be all "and here is the best birthday present of all!" insert super cute picture of newborn(ish) Evelyn here DD was announced on xmas day and I got a few "OMG is she yours, I didn't even know you were pregnant" comments... makes me wonder as I'd been going on obsessively about nappy auctions on eBay for months...

JuniDD · 30/12/2014 10:52

la we've got a Motorola video monitor which is pretty good. Mainly used during my very quick showers ATM!

TheBooMonster · 30/12/2014 11:07

there is a thread on AIBU about a severed head... what is wrong with people?!

RPopz · 30/12/2014 11:15

Haha, whose head??
