Just been looking at the stats - great job Jazzy.
Love the 'thumbs up' picture. Smile

Tryingreallyhard84 · 06/01/2015 20:26

Aw - I posted on fb but wanted to add congrats on here as well. Thumbs up all round. Grin

Regarding maternity costumes, I picked up a proper one from sprts direct for £8.99. Couldn't be doing with any froo froo ones that tied or had frills as I'd rather it just hold me in place. Think it was slazenger or similar. Well worth checking out if you've got one close by. Can't see the point in spending a fortune.

I keep wondering if I'm feeling the little bubbles of movement or if it's all psychological. I'm not the most patient of people at the best of Times.

Told my new manager I was pregnant today. He did well to keep his face relatively calm. Bless him. My colleague wants to go part time cos she's coming up to 60 and I'm buggering off for 9 months come May. Enjoy resourcing that! Blush

Congrats on team blue croon, great pic.

Good work on the stats jazzy.

I'm knackered with going back to work.
Just signed up for a nct course in may.

Smugnogplease · 06/01/2015 20:37

Thanks trying I'll check sports direct now for a nice cheap one!

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 06/01/2015 20:57

I ve started with a strange burning feeling at the back of my throat, it's there for abit 10/15 seconds then it disappears for a bit then comes back. Has anyone else experienced it?.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 06/01/2015 21:17

Thanks for the stats jazzy. I'm due 11th June as per all scans to date. 20 week scan on 22nd jan and I'll be 35 the same day.

Hope everyone is ok. Smile

AnythingNotEverything · 06/01/2015 21:19

Heartburn Elizabeth? Is it worse when you lie down?

Trying I soon read your post and thought "maternity costumes"?! Who'd want to dress up as a pregnant woman?! And then the penny dropped ...

MrsExtraOrdinary · 06/01/2015 22:06

Sunbathing I won't lie, it was rather chilly, especially sporting these preggers bullet nipples! Grin

Hi sun Grin

We brought some blue booties for our announcement photo, we had my DS1 hold them Smile

That's it, my sister has brought some t-shirts and baby grows for DS2 so she's brought more than we have already haha. We might start next weekend if we're brave enough :P

jazzyjenbo · 06/01/2015 23:14

Thanks for the thanks! Your all very welcome.

Comeagain, whats your edd?

Boys are still leading then! Seems May and June is very blue dominated as lots of the May girls are having boys aswell.

All of the 31st May girls so far that have found out (my edd) are having boys! Aconda are u finding out?

I have bought a crib, crib bedding, some knitted bootees and a top..... Waiting now until we know the sex.

Have any of you done creative gender announcement photos?

MrsExtraOrdinary · 06/01/2015 23:34

I'm wishing I booked a private scan now as getting impatient to know everything is ok. But seems silly as its only 2 weeks away. Tick tick come in the 22nd. It's like being a child again counting the days down until my birthday!

WrappedInABlankie · 06/01/2015 23:54

This was our announcement, I've cut his head off :P

Just remembered I managed to get a barely used avent double electric breast pump, which turns into a manual or a single, digital thermometer, carry bag, ice packs and spare parts all for £41

Hi jazzy,

Our 20 wk scan is on Monday and we aren't finding out... I will prob spend whole scan trying to work it out though!

Feel pretty certain will be a boy as dh is one of 5 boys, there are 5 grandsons and when his dad traced their family tree there are just boys on his side all way back as far as he could see. That said, three of dh's brothers have had or are having babies within six months of us, and one of those is a girl, so you never know!

I need to add my stats- will do today.

Almost half way through the week everyone.

Tranquilitybaby · 07/01/2015 07:40

Acid reflux Elizaberh, I sympathise as I'm suffering terribly. You need to ask your MW if she can get a prescription sorted for Gaviscon. Ive been buying it but my MW said yesterday I should be getting it free.

The sickness is getting worse, I literally woke up this morning and had to run to be sick. Feel absolutely drained and I've got to work.

@Tori my scan is 19th so a week and a half and I feel the same on the movements! I am about to tell work - have the first meeting Friday and need to line up the others (There are a few people I have to formally tell) and I know it's paranoid but I feel like it might be jinxing it when I haven't had a scan in 7 weeks and don't feel movement....
I gathered everything we have bought for baby in a bag last night -toys and a very random small assortment of clothes, a couple clearly girl and a couple a bit boy, also varied sizes up to 18-24m. It looks ridiculous together, I think we need a more structured approach!

FructoseTart · 07/01/2015 09:43

Hi all,
Can I jump on the thread please? Smile
I am due 26th June - have been on MN previously under a different name and was in Nov12 babies thread..

cuphat · 07/01/2015 09:47

I bought Gaviscon myself during my last pregnancy. But the only one that worked for me was the one in the bright pink bottle and I doubt you get that on prescription. I'm dreading getting heartburn again. I got it after eating, but later on in pregnancy.

We didn't do a creative gender announcement but we did announce our pregnancy with a photo of DD in an 'I'm going to be a big sister t-shirt'. Might post it on the fb page.

comeagainforbigfudge · 07/01/2015 10:36

Morning all
I've been so lazy this morn. Joys of annual leave. Need to get up and get moving though. No outdoors plans but loads of things want to do around my wee home.

jazzyjenbo it's 12th June.

MrsExtraOrdinary I'm the same but hearing the baby's heartbeat has calmed me right back down again.

I've not bought anything. Got so much to do redecorating wise I don't want to add to the clutter mess

Decided on pram but waiting til february/March as new season in mamas and papas so hoping the next version of armadillo flip will have appeared.

MrsExtraOrdinary · 07/01/2015 11:06

I'm quite lucky really as ive heard the baby's heart beat several times now. I guess that's what you get by paying for an independent midwife. My apts usually last about 45 minutes. I'm just worried about general health of the baby. One of our nieces Is profoundly deaf and its genetic done dh's side. I never used to worry like this. But I'm getting old and the SATs have suddenly jumped now I'm the magic 35.

JennyOfOldstones · 07/01/2015 11:15

I have awful heartburn too, good tip about getting gaviscon on prescription it can only get worse from now I suppose.

We have not bought anything yet but I am going pram shopping after my 20 week scan. DP thinks it's too soon to buy anything but he would leave it all until my waters break so I am ignoring him!

SpodoKomodo · 07/01/2015 11:17

Hello, mind if I join? I'm expecting DC2 on June 24th (but more likely 17th with an ELCS). I'm a long term MN lurker, but only recently dipping my toe in to contribute Blush
