Congrats tranquility and thanks for the stats jazzy! Lovely your little one was wriggling last night, mine was really active during the day yesterday it was either really happy I was back at work or doing a dance of disgust. Every time I put my hand there it stops though. Little menace. Grin

Rosie888 · 06/01/2015 12:52

Hi, could I please be added to the stats?

I'm 26
This will be my first baby
20 week scan on 6th Feb
we are going to find out gender :)
And due 26th June xxx

WrappedInABlankie · 06/01/2015 12:57

Can o be added to the stats please?

I'm 21
Have ds1 whose 2.9
I'm having a boy
Got my 20 week scan on the 2/2/15
Due 21/6/15 Grin

I had my midwife appointment today listed to the heartbeat which was 154 got my next one on the 3rd Feb.

What i can't work out is I've somehow lost days! 3 to be precise I thought I was 16+2 as I'm due on the 21st her wheel thing said I'm 16+5 I'm confused as all my apps say 16+2 but it means I'll be 17 weeks on Thursday instead of Sunday Confused any help?

Chookford · 06/01/2015 13:07

tranquility hooray for hearing the heartbeat!

jazzy congrats on feeling movement it's so lovely isn't it!! And thank you for updating stats

wrapped when I had my check up at hospital and they did blood pressure and things the wheel thingy measured me two days behind what I am and midwife just said they can be out by a couple of days so she took my dates instead!

jazzyjenbo · 06/01/2015 13:12

added those bits for you - wrapped, I'd already added you but added ur age and ds age.
I would go off what your scan said, she prob twirled the wheel thingy wrong. - just added your dates into my app and it says 16+2
rosie - I've put your info back into place... i'd moved you as hadn't seen you around for a while. Glad all is well
cuphat - how exciting thinking about delivery date! - you might be one of the first if none of these bumps put in an early appearance.

WrappedInABlankie · 06/01/2015 13:15

She showed me the wheel thing and it was right that's the weird thing so that's what's written in my notes she said my DD won't change but I'm defiantly 16+5 Confused

cuphat · 06/01/2015 13:34

Thanks. I'm just hoping mine doesn't decide to come over a week early otherwise it'll be an emergency section!

I've no idea wrapped, I haven't seen this wheel thing you mention.

fortywinx · 06/01/2015 13:37

tranquility glad you had a positive 16 week check up.

I forgot to tell everyone about my 16 week appointment. I've switched to the homebirth team, so I had a lovely lady come to my house on New Year's Eve. She found the heartbeat instantly, 145bpm. My OH was really pleased that he got to hear it too.

She seemed a bit concerned that my minor bleed was never really followed up on (possibly because I'm rhesus neg I suppose), but seeing as baby seems fine, she was quite happy overall.

jazzy I'm so jealous! I've barely felt anything yet. Thought I might have felt some movement last week, but it could've just as easily been wind XD I have a big bump so perhaps there's a lot of fluid (I'll keep telling myself that it's that and not Xmas indulgence lol).

WrappedInABlankie · 06/01/2015 13:53

It the one they use at your booking in appointment where they put the arrow on your due date and then looks at today's date and underneath tells your the weeks and days

jazzyjenbo · 06/01/2015 14:01

Forty, i'd hardly felt nethin, i was getting worried as i'd felt ds at 16 weeks, dd at 13.... Had some slight flutters but nothing much... Now 19+ weeks and finally feeling it!!
Wrapped... I'd still go off your dates or when u get to 40 weeks u will b afew days ahead.

Tranquilitybaby · 06/01/2015 14:22

Exciting you get to choose your date, cuphat, I would've thought a bank holiday would be fine.

Tranquilitybaby · 06/01/2015 14:23

Oh and I meant to say Tesco have lots of Tommee Toppe items at least half price. Bottles, breastpump, steriliser etc.

croon979 · 06/01/2015 14:53

Very quick check in today to say scan was amazing and I am.....team BLUE! So thrilled. Will email more later Grin xx

Chookford · 06/01/2015 15:05

croon congrats on your blue bundle, lovely news!

ChatEnOeuf · 06/01/2015 15:10

Cup They won't generally schedule an elective section on a Bank Holiday - too few staff on the shop floor for it to be safe. They will usually be a bit flexible around those dates though so you should still be able to pick time that suits you.

Glad scan went well Croon

Wrapped whatever day of the week your due date is, that's the day you are 16+0, 17+0 etc. No MW's wheel will change that - though plenty have little inaccuracies (like in a leap year for example)

cuphat · 06/01/2015 15:17

Thanks Chat. We went for a Monday last time after a news story about getting generally worse care during the weekend and end of the week (due to less staff at the weekend and more tired staff at the end of the week I think). So I thought a bank holiday might be similar re staffing. I'm 39 weeks on the Friday so think the Tuesday might be a bit too close to my due date.

Congrats croon, lovely news!

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 06/01/2015 16:39

wrapped the mw and my app said I was due 21/06 but then sonographer believed it to be 24/6, which is what it has been changed to. We are secretly hoping the 21/06 date comes true as my 35th birthday is 20th and my Dad's 75th would have been the 21/06, so we hope that the tradition continues.

Really excited for private scan next week now, after reading all the gender reveals we are so looking forward to knowing. Altho a friend of mine very rudely told me yesterday that we should just wait, that it's ridiculous people can't wait 9 months to find out. I was offended as I have plenty of friends who waited but they would never criticise someone else for finding out, it's personal preference.

croon979 · 06/01/2015 16:45

Thanks guys! Waiting for flight home now. My husband will be so pleased as although he would have been happy with any flavour of healthy baby, he was secretly hoping for a little blue one! Elizabeth - totally agree that finding out is personal preference. For me, it has just increased my excitement immeasurably.

Have just had an indulgent shopping trip and allowed myself to make some first purchases. Bought some good maternity wear from red herring/H&M and some cute little sleep suits.

I have posted this pic on facebook but I had a little performer today at the scan doing acrobatics. Bizarrely at the exact moment that I was told that I was team blue, the baby gave a thumbs up!

They dated me at 18+4 so due date 5th June whereas hospital said due date 9th June.

Tranquilitybaby · 06/01/2015 16:52

Aww a little boy Croon congratulations! X it's nice when you can start buying stuff isn't it. Xx

Chookford · 06/01/2015 16:55

croon that thumbs up pic is awesome!!

comeagainforbigfudge · 06/01/2015 16:58

Absolutely personal preference!

I don't want to know, DH does. The problem is whether if they tell him, will he be able to keep it a secret?!!! I fear he may not. Must remember to discuss this further before we go for scan!!

Aconda · 06/01/2015 17:38

What an ace pic croon!

TMI alert - discharge question! Am 19 and half weeks and for past week have had tons of very watery, very pale yellow discharge (not pee!). Does this sound familiar to anyone?

A x

Thanks for new stats jazzy, I'm actually due on the 6/6 after my dating scan could you please update for me when you get chance as I don't use a PC:) thanks!
I haven't posted a tummy shot on FB as I am sooooo much bigger that the rest of you it seems! I'm usually an 8-10 but baby 4 is really showing himself and I look and feel about 7 months!! Running my shop today pushed me to my limits with waking and pgp (spd) is starting already too. Probably just first day back after Christmas so I'm going the rest of the week improves. We are taking our 5 dc to centreparcs this weekend so I also need to source a maternity cossie and face up to those rapids with a belly:)

Mummymathsteacher · 06/01/2015 19:32

That's so exciting about the movement jazzy! I can't feel anything on the outside yet :(

Glad the appointment went well tranquility
