Congrats on team pink sun! I've convinced myself that mine's a boy, so it'll be interesting to see if that turns out correctly or not XD

Alisvolatpropiis · 31/12/2014 12:17

Girls is meant to be faster I think, Jackie.

I'm pretty convinced I'm having a boy too, forty. We'll soon find out Smile

comeagainforbigfudge · 31/12/2014 12:45

Hello ladies. May I join the party?

I'm 17 weeks Grin
My 16 week appoint had to be bumped to next week as couldn't get a shift swap. (Being Xmas week n'all)

I have to see the consultant as well. Lucky old me.

Anyway, what questions should I be asking?
Do I need to "have a birth plan" as such?
I'm going with the whole "see what happens and just keep me and the baby safe please medical and midwifery staff. Thank you" approach. Just feel it's the least stressful approach for me.

Do they listen for heartbeat? I'm going through a slight phase of "is the baby okay?" Getting tempted to go for private scan but don't want to know gender.

I have my next scan on 23rd but I'm having a phase of feeling really good that I'm a wee bit panicked. Although having said that I'm still taking anti-sickness to keep the puking at bay!!

Orville82 · 31/12/2014 12:46

Nice idea on "bump day" Jazzy. I have to admit I've been taking pics every Monday since our BFP in exactly the same place at the same angle. Was only 14+1 last time but amazed by the difference already Grin

Lovely news on your little girl Sun. How exciting! Kind of jealous of all you ladies finding out pink or blue but I'm sticking with my guns and want a surprise. Still 6 weeks till my 20 week scan. Humph!

cuphat · 31/12/2014 13:32

Congrats sunbathing!

It's weird - with DD I had no idea what I was having, no feelings whatsoever, but this time I just knew, I had a strong feeling from the start!

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 31/12/2014 14:19

Piddle... Wrote a message but got sidetracked half way through so it's got lost!

Congratulations sun Smile

My mw was lovely and listened for hb which was loud and clear, amazing Smile She predicted a boy. I didn't tell her she did that all the way along with dd Grin

V low blood pressure though... Not sure there's much I can do about that?

croon979 · 31/12/2014 14:52

Congratulations Sun, glad it all went well. Team pink - lovely news!

Nice to hear to all the successful 16 week/ 20 week appointments too!

Here's to an exciting, happy and healthy 2015! Happy new year!

Alisvolatpropiis · 31/12/2014 14:57

Now that I have my scan date I suddenly feel really torn about finding out the sex.

Not entirely sure why, have been fairly set on finding out for a while now.

Has anybody's skin suddenly broken out? I thought second trimestrr was meant to be glowing not spotty Sad

JennyOfOldstones · 31/12/2014 15:07

Congrats on your scan and team pink news sunbathing!

Alis I have had spots all the way through, really annoying!

Welcome comeagain I am also not sure about the birth plan, I think the fewer expectations you have the less you can be disappointed. As a first timer my only instruction will be to try to keep DP from passing out!

Tryingreallyhard84 · 31/12/2014 15:11

Ooo, lovely Sun. Score one for team Pink.

All my friends are convinced I'm having a boy but OH wants a girl. I don't mind either way. Some days I think I'd like one more than the other but that depends on what cute clothes I'm looking at. Smile

Alis - My skin has been crap since day one Sad Seriously wondering if this "glow" is all just sales spiel to ensure we think having babies is a good idea.

Comeagainforbigfudge - Hello! I think many of us are in the "are we still pregnant" frame of mind and waiting eagerly/nervously for the next scan/appt. You're not along there.

Chookford · 31/12/2014 15:39

sun massive congrats on team pink!

comeagain welcome and congrats!

Alisvolatpropiis · 31/12/2014 15:55

Just realised I didn't give my info for stats! Blush

Chookford · 31/12/2014 16:14

jazzy if you wouldn't mind adding my 20wk scan in please it's 19/1 and I have an extra one on the 15/1 to check heart after a raised nuchal fold (it's standard) and then I will have one at 24wks, 28wks, 32wks and 36wks but don't know dates for those yet! Thanks x

Happy New Year everyone. Great scan news & congrats on joining us in team pink, sun.

Re: fluttering, I posted on FB about my DH feeling the baby move last week, which was 16 weeks. I've felt her since week 11, which seemed perversely early, even for 2nd child, but a few people have put it down to loosing most of a stone through hyperemesis and my tummy being all bump no fat. I didn't feel DD till poss 17 weeks, then definitely at 18. It really is lovely. Still getting loads of pelvic girdle pain, sciatica has reappeared with a vengeance but - get this fab news - I haven't been sick since Christmas Day! Yay! (Still on meds, getting some nausea but am thrilled).

Have a fabulous NYE ladies & here's to us all having a great 2015 xxx

comeagainforbigfudge · 31/12/2014 17:49

Thank you for the welcome.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with the wondering what's going on in there!

Chookford · 31/12/2014 18:02

hexy congrats on the 6 puke free days! Must be such a relief to have a break!

Emz1989 · 31/12/2014 18:04

Haven't checked in for a few days! Hope you've all had a lovely Christmas, dh and I are just getting comfortable for a NYE treat of a takeaway, a bottle of schloer and some cheesy films - I'm sure he'd far rather be at the pub with his mates but credit where it's due, our quiet evening was all his idea!
I haven't been the busiest poster on this thread but I just wanted to say a big thank you for the support I've had from you lovely ladies in 2014. As a first time preggo it's been really reassuring to know there are people in the same boat as myself... Here's to an exciting, healthy 2015 for us all... And our new bundles of joy! Grin

JennyOfOldstones · 31/12/2014 18:05

I am opting for the early night sunbathing don't think I have made it to midnight since I got pregnant! Hope everyone has a good night Wine

Chookford · 31/12/2014 18:09

Happy New Year everyone.... Here is to a very exciting and busy 2015! Grin

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 31/12/2014 18:42

jackiebrambles I think faster heart rate on some websites says more likely to be a girl.

comeagain Welcome ??, my only plan is to have no plan, to go with the flow, go with the advice and pray for a healthy baby after the birth.

And I can't remember who said about skin, but mine hasn't been to great the last few days.

Very quiet NYE here, but we are excited that this time next year, all being well, we will have a 6mth old and 6 year old, so no doubt a noisier NY.

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 31/12/2014 18:46

Oh just checked my mail, letter from hospital with my NT results, my ratio was 1:4392, so happy with that.

Chookford · 31/12/2014 18:52

elizabeth congrats on the good results, such a relief isn't it!

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 31/12/2014 19:08

chookford relieved, but we do understand there is always a risk but what will be, will be.
