Ooh good luck tomorrow sun Smile.

My scan seems ages away although its less than 3 weeks now Grin

Jackiebrambles · 30/12/2014 23:16

Good luck for the scans tomorrow ladies!

I wish I could remember when I started to properly show and feel movement last time. I was def feeling movement by 20 week scan as the sonographer asked 'did you feel that?!' When DS made a massive movement! But it wasn't long before that I don't think. Plus for ages you are like 'is that wind or baby'?!

I am 15w today and feel the odd little something but I'm not entirely convinced it's the baby!

croon979 · 30/12/2014 23:16

Thanks sunbathing that would be great Smile! Best of luck for your scan tomorrow - hope it's amazing x

sparkle17 · 30/12/2014 23:30

Good luck tomorrow sun excited to hear what team you are on!

Elizabethnaylor1980 · 30/12/2014 23:32

sunbathing ahh I ll take the no news is good news approach then.
Just working my way through Downton Abbey boxset, been laid up all day with dreadful headache, sneezing, feeling a little better now. Had sudden urge to eat a Pot Noodle, which I know isn't best thing at 11.30pm but giving in to the urge.

Phryn · 31/12/2014 07:40

Good luck for the scan sun - what a great way to end the year.

I finally had my 16 week midwife appt on Monday. Different midwife due to me having to rebook after the car key debacle but very lovely. When she brought up listening to the heart beat she said that although NICE guidance says they should only listen at the 36 week appt that she was "an old git" and still did it anyway because that was what to-be-mums really wanted Smile .

So we heard the heart beat and it was lovely. DH enjoyed getting to come as we're both on leave this week.

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 31/12/2014 08:18

That's nice Phryn Smile I'm off for mine in a minute and hope to hear the hb although I can't remember what this mw does from last time round. I remember being disappointed after one appt so this may have been it!

Tranquilitybaby · 31/12/2014 08:39

Good luck for your scan sunbathing and pas for your appointment. Glad you got to hear the heartbeat Phryn, how lovely.

I'm trying to a hold of my anxiety, felt awful and shaky yesterday, horrible. Need to pick myself up again.

Chookford · 31/12/2014 08:39

phryn congrats on hearing heartbeat.

pas look forward to hearing your news too

My dh felt the baby kick for the first time last night, was so lovely makes it feel all the more real when others can feel the movement too!! Grin

Tryingreallyhard84 · 31/12/2014 08:41

Good luck with scan/appointments today. Wonder whether team pink or blue will be winning come the end of the day?

Elizabeth - hope you're feeling better today. The other day I really wanted super noodles so there must be something in the soupy-carby joy that our bodies want.

I just got my letter through with my appointment for 20 week scan. 2nd feb, can't wait to find out what team we are on!

sparkle17 · 31/12/2014 11:01

Had my 16 week check up today. It was confirmed that I don't have hiv, aids, syphilis or hepatitis which is good! Iron levels are bordering on needing tablets level low so I need to add iron rich foods to my diet. Also found out what my blood type is!

Turns out my scan date must have got lost in the post but I now know it is 26th Jan.

Alisvolatpropiis · 31/12/2014 11:39

Congratulations sun Smile

Jackiebrambles · 31/12/2014 12:02

Ah how lovely Sun! You were convinced it was a boy I remember!
Congratulations Grin.

I've just left the placenta clinic - placenta is only 11mm from the csection scar which isn't too close but isn't that far away either. They want to scan again at 22 weeks to monitor.

Was only told I needed a full bladder when I had already waited for 30 mins - then internal and external scan, not comfy!

Can anyone remember the theory on heart rate and gender?? Is girls hr supposed to be faste?
