New thread, as the other one was nearly full! Can someone please post the stats page, as I'm useless with things like that!

Leela I'm on 3rd day of no sickness. I'm sure it's pretty normal Grin does anyone else feel really overwhelmed by the amount of people just knowing your pregnant. I've had around 5 women ask me as they just know, one of my friends even had a dream about it and had to ask me if I was. Shock Xx

WantToGoingTo · 14/12/2014 08:35

joy same for us - baby room currently walk in wardrobe! We need to rip out fitted wardrobes in our room so we can move standalone wardrobes from baby room to ours and redecorate both rooms. Already chosen decor just got to do it now but probably won't be til march/April.

Feeling v symptomless and starting to get worried :( think work dissed me too. Had another work party last night and they all quizzing me about being pg for second time! Still denied it...

Well, I slept much better and feeling a bit less nauseous. DH has given me a morning off by taking DS to his mum while he's at work so I can rest. So drinking hot chocolate and watching chickflick on tv Smile

I'm really surprised people keep being asked if they are pregnant. I thought it was the done thing not to ask if you guess. People have guessed about me this time and last, and waited to be told. Except my southern hemisphere friends, who have always asked straight outSmile

broodylicious · 14/12/2014 09:09

Morning all. Booking in appt for me this afternoon! Still puking and feeling as though I could at any point. Had yet another dream about twins last night...

I'm not buying anything for ages yet. Just feels v early on. We waited til I was about six months with dd and it'll probably be the same again this time. We will keep the same monitor (tommee tippee with sensor mat) but shan't bother with useless Moses basket.

naty1 · 14/12/2014 09:13

My breast tenderness has gone pretty much from 9wks, hopefully not a bad sign. Tiredness, not sure probably still tired but hardly slept at all as still PO about scan date as i cant even try to sort until tomorrow :(
I hate stressing when pg it makes me even more annoyed and then that escalates.

I am 3 ivf 5 yrs ttc (+1 cancelled cycle). And 2 pg. wish the worry ended with the bfp. :). So from 29-35 ive had 1yr (+9mth pg) off
Hopefully i can have a permanent break in about 5 mths

TinyCaterpillar · 14/12/2014 09:27

Bustherb most of my friends now know (due to the obvious bump) and pretty much all of them have said 'yeah I knew you were pregnant' when I told them! There's no real reason why they would have known, although most of them have kids themselves so maybe it's just obvious?!

Thepurplegiraffe · 14/12/2014 09:36

naty you really have had quite a journey to get here, you must be exhausted by it all, I really hope this is it for you, you have got this far! I really wouldn't worry about the lack of tenderness mine went after about 2 weeks, this time and last.
Still being sick every day here and still struggling to eat. I really miss food.

JoY007 · 14/12/2014 10:07

Lucky for me not been sick, just the nausea and fatigue, which is very much there. I find that when engaged in fun activities such as catching up with friends it takes my mind of it.

I still have the odd brown spotting now and again though. Will quiz the mw more about it tomorrow. It tends to happen when I have gone without water for longer than usual and held my pee Confused now wearing panty liners to keep a watch. Not fretting as long as no pain, and I am still experiencing symptoms right?

Bustherb · 14/12/2014 11:29

Yeah tiny the girls that have asked or hinted have kids themselves so maybe people just can tell? So random though xx

misseskimo · 14/12/2014 12:09

Thanks three virtual jo I will ask Dr Google about pigeon pose, and will hopefully go from there... I'm trying to refrain from paracetamol as much as possible. The Dr told me to take it, but when I was a teenager I suffered terrible migraines and was on super strong meds which made me build up a resilience to normal pain killers and took me years to wean my body off. Now I only ever take paracetamol or ibuprofen if I really need it. Especially now as pg I don't want to take loads now and find by 3rd trimester nothing works if I get a migraine or similar! So far only had two at bed last night and night before. Cramps and headaches I can deal with, sciatica I can't Sad

Toastandmarmiteallday · 14/12/2014 13:01

Hi all,

Also feeling less nauseous the last day or so which is a relief but also as many of you say a worry. Hoping its placenta taking over as almost 10 weeks now. Still a few other pg symptoms but main concern at moment is severe throat and ear infection - diagnosed today at emergency doc appt. now on antibiotics and gargling soluble paracetamol. Got home and had a mini breakdown, tears and all, husband was very good though and got me in to bed and keeps checking on me. Main concern is drugs will hurt baby but was reassured by doc it's ok. Means yet more time off work but can't be helped and have to put myself and the bean firstSmile

Planning to start buying nappies in weekly shop once have 20 week scan although not going to be able to resist the bargains in christmas sales for baby clothes/bits and bobs but will hide at mums and sisters so husband doesn't need to knowHmm

Number3cometome · 14/12/2014 13:25

I closed my eyes for two minutes and then next thing it was 1pm!! I feel so lazy. It's normal for sickness to pass at this stage. Ladies with no symptoms try not to worry, I know plenty of people who haven't had a single symptom and have been totally feeling normal throughout pregnancy. With my DD I didn't have sore nipples, but with DS I had headaches, this time I feel nauseous but I don't feel so bad yesterday and today (although very tired). Symptoms can come and go. I tend to feel worse on a work day or if I don't get up and immediately have toast. Also feel rotten if I don't have one cup of normal tea.

Bustherb · 14/12/2014 13:28

Well 3rd day of no sickness is wrong and I've thrown up multiple times this morning. I was dying for some fresh orange juice and I think that's what did it Confused xxx

Zampa · 14/12/2014 17:04

Does anyone have any recommended maternity clothing shops?

I've just bought a selection of maternity clothes at a variety a retailers, which should all arrive before Christmas. I'm expecting to send half of them back as no idea what to expect on size and fit.

broodylicious · 14/12/2014 18:01

I have mat jeans from new look zampa - they seem to fit me quite well. I have a few things from h&m and next as well. Annoyingly, most stores seem to have shoved their maternity ranges to just online Angry

Booking in appt all done this afternoon. I got quite emotional at the bit where she asks about previous pregnancies - she was so kind though and totally understood my fears. She says the hospital have a backlog on scans so I probably won't get an appointment letter through for around three weeksShock although she did say they can do the nt screening until 14 weeks now so I have more time to play with (I'm only 8+4 now).

In other news, I had a KFC for the first time today. Suspiciously don't feel sick anymore since eating it....

Orville82 · 14/12/2014 18:04

ASOS has some lovely bits Zampa. I've just ordered quite a lot as they have an offer at the moment is 20% off everything, so stocked up on some summer tops, trousers and a handful of dresses - all already in the sale section so a bit of a bargain if they're any good. Just enter DECEMBER20 at checkout.

fattycow · 14/12/2014 18:08

I have changed some headings on the stats page. It was talking about Gender Prediction and Scan Gender Result. But you can say nothing about the gender of the baby for at least a few years to come, so I have changed it to sex. Your sex and your gender do not have to be the same one. Smile

Zampa · 14/12/2014 18:08

Thanks Orville and Broody. It's a grand plan to buy summer clothes in the Sale as we're going to need them.

naty1 · 14/12/2014 18:57

Can someone just confirm for me
The dates given by your mw tie up with the stats charts?
So for example due date 13/07
Im 9 and 6/7 today
10w on mon
10+1 on tues?
Just checking before i call up about scan tomorrow

My egg collection (ovulation i guess was a monday)

Its just the ivf clinic said 7 w 0 on a tues
Then mw another tues said 9+2
If the mw is correct then the nt is def too late at 14+2

pip how are they working your dates out?

broodylicious · 14/12/2014 19:26

naty, I can't get into stats as I'm on the app but basically, you need to work out first day of your last period (mine was oct 16) then count forward how many weeks since then (so I'm now 8+3). Search edd calculator online and you'll get your edd (so mine is July 23). Could be a few days either way though if you don't have regular 28 day cycles as most online edd calcs are based on that. Does that help?

StoneBaby · 14/12/2014 19:48

Naty if you're 10w on Monday, Tuesday should be 10+1. Even with ivf I think they still count from the lasp period date?

Zampa · 14/12/2014 20:30

I've just measured myself for a new bra and I'm horrified to discover I'm now a double F. Plus size bras cost a fortune and I'm worried that I'm going to have to buy a new one about every 5 weeks.

luckythirteen · 14/12/2014 21:01

Zampa you've just reminded me to measure myself! After I did the bra intervention thread last year I went from a 32DD to a 30F (far more comfortable). Having measured just now I'm measuring at 30G! I'm wondering if I'd be better off switching to non-wired?

Naty for my IVF they basically 'invented' me a LMP date for doctors/midwives to work from, counting back 2 weeks from egg collection, I don't know if that helps?
