New thread, as the other one was nearly full! Can someone please post the stats page, as I'm useless with things like that!

ooh number so exciting!
stone how many bum genius do you need? Also, do you remember which version you have? Thanks

supersupersupershock · 12/12/2014 17:23

7+5 and feeling sick all the time here. Didn't have any morning sickness with DS so its all new for me! Ho hum :)

StoneBaby · 12/12/2014 17:31

lordy I think they were v3. Last ones to be exclusively with velcro closure. I bought 25 to start with and increased to 30 when DS started nursery so they had some spare there.

8+2

ohlordyplordy · 12/12/2014 17:40

thanks stone. wow changing nappies must be a full time job - it's going to be a steep learning curve!

WiIdfire · 12/12/2014 17:42

Thanks for the new thread. How do we add details to the stats page??

TallGiraffes · 12/12/2014 17:48

We used cloth nappies from day 1 with DS - they were brilliant. Much better at controlling poonami explosions than disposables. We had a real mixture for the newborn stage as different ones fitted best at different points. Then from about 3 months we loved the bum genius free times and elementals. There are some fanatical groups on fb where you can get cheap ones, and some crazy bunfights about limited edition prints.

Threeplus1 · 12/12/2014 17:53

I've never done cloth nappies but was considering it this time around.... There's a few services here where, for around $20 a week, (£13) you get unlimited nappies delivered, and dirty ones taken away to be laundered and sanitised. The jury's still out for me though

Pipbin · 12/12/2014 18:45

Just place marking at the new thread.
8+0 here. Absolutely no symptoms all day.
Spent all day worrying about my scan on Tuesday. What is that's it? What if my last scan pictures was a close as I get to being a mother. This was my last IVF.

StoneBaby · 12/12/2014 19:02

Pip and breath!

Forgot to say I started to use reusable nappies from 6 weeks as DS legs were too skinny Grin

Pipbin · 12/12/2014 19:04

I reserve the right to panic!

Is anyone else getting loads of cm? I keep thinking in bleeding and having to run to the loo to sort it out.

supersupersupershock · 12/12/2014 19:18

What is cm?

fattycow · 12/12/2014 19:27

wildfire, you can just add to it like to a regular document.

Oh, I would like it if people stopped with all the abbreviations! They are really confusing to me!

Bustherb · 12/12/2014 19:28

Congrats to all who have had scans! I had my 12 week scan this Thursday although I'll be 11 weeks, think they're cramming scans in before Xmas. I have unusually felt lots better today, no sickness, a tiny bit of tiredness and lots of crankiness! I'm so glad that I may be turning a corner with the sickness Wink so I'm off to the works Xmas do for a couple of hours xxx

Bustherb · 12/12/2014 19:28

Have*

luckythirteen · 12/12/2014 19:52

Number great to hear all is well Smile

Thepurplegiraffe · 12/12/2014 19:57

Glad you are feeling better Bustherb. I totally understand why you are panicking Pip but there is such a good chance that everything will be fine on Tuesday. I will keep everything crossed for you.
I have a private scan tomorrow so I can stop panicking and deal with whatever happens over Christmas. Pretty nervous now.

WantToGoingTo · 12/12/2014 20:13

pip I am also 8+0 and no symptoms really! Yes to the cm have loads have to hange knickers twice a day! Blush have my scan on Thursday eek

Zampa · 12/12/2014 20:15

All very giddy here at Zampa Towers ... Had an early scan and we're all A-OK! A little wriggly Moomin with a 160 bpm heartbeat.

Booked in for my Harmony test a week today and results should come in just after New Year. FX.

Pleased for you number.

broodylicious · 12/12/2014 20:17

Just marking my placeSmile

itsnotthatdeep · 12/12/2014 20:23

ive been offered a pristine mamas n papas mylo system with all tje bells whistles amd car seat for nothing so im massively happyGrin friend has just sold me a cotbed for 40 quid which is immaculate too.

im doing disposable nappies because I want to breast feed so its halving the cost reallyWink

im definitely gonna start buying clothes after my scan im so in love with river islands range â?¡â?¡â?¡

Naturegirl82 · 12/12/2014 20:26

naty I find cloth much better at containing poonamis than disposables. We switched back to disposables on holiday and it was a nightmare.

stone we use Smartipants during the day and pop-ins at night. I've not tried bg though. Wondering whether to get some newborn fitteds but I'm assuming this baby is likely to be big again so btp may well be ok. I've got 25 day and 7 night time nappies (can't remember who asked) but I may add to this as dd1 will be 18 months so still in nappies.

StoneBaby · 12/12/2014 20:31

nature I didn't have any special night nappies, just some bamboo inserts that I was adding to the bg for night time. DS was a heavy wetter.

DustOffYourHighestHopes · 12/12/2014 20:53

Tips!

  • don't stinge on the muslins. Get at least 12 small muslins I reckon - we really needed them! Soaking up milk, burping clothes etc.
  • bednest was brilliant
  • mattress protectors from little green sheep were great if £££ as they are the only ones that are completely cotton and not lined in plastic
  • I should have got the 'my breast friend' cushion earlier. It was so hideous that I resisted for some time, but if you have smaller or high up breasts (ahem) then you REALLY need the extra support for the baby that it provides
  • I loved the theraline support pillow for pregnancy
  • we needed the monitor esp later on when baby went to sleep earlier and we could watch tv loudly without him. We wanted it to be quiet at night to distinguish day and night so shut the door. Would not have been able to hear him crying.
Supershiv1 · 12/12/2014 20:56

Hello. Booked a private scan for Sunday after convincing myself that I couldn't wait till 7th Jan as I felt symptomless yesterday. .......... fast forward 24 hours and I'm laying on the sofa totally nauseous with a bottle of lactulose for company!
