New thread, as the other one was nearly full! Can someone please post the stats page, as I'm useless with things like that!

Mister I've tried two home water births! First time I did use the pool & I think it did help during contractions, but we had to transfer to the hospital (meconium in my waters), so didn't birth in it. Second time the baby came so quickly we had only got about 3 inches of water in the pool by the time I was pushing! Not sure if I will try again this time or not.

Btw if you ask around - local home birth support groups etc - you might well find one you can borrow. I had my first one through the midwives (had to pay for liner) and second one through breastfeeding peer support group (think probably had to buy a liner then too, can't remember).

pip same here, though mine was more super oily skin with a few pimples... I usually use Clarins, so I went and spoke to one of the reps and she suggested a change in my night routine, and rather than using a night moisturizer to use lotus oil instead. I only use two drops patted into the skin over toner and although it feels greasy to the touch, it has made a real difference. She gave me a tiny trial bottle of it, which so far I've been using it for about 7wks and not even a quarter of it has gone so lasts a while!

Probably one of those TMI moment so sorry in advance, but has anyone else got pains in the groin and ahem vaginal area? I seem to have almost cramp like symptoms on and off running through my groin and up the insides of my vaginal walls. There doesn't seem to be any link to it happening after a specific event like going to the loo etc. just random... I was wondering if this is part of those normal stretching pains everyone keeps saying about or whether I should get it checked? I'm still getting cramps in my stomach too, and they seem to be the same intensity in both areas... Anyone else? Blush

WantToGoingTo · 28/12/2014 22:25

Miss couple weeks back I had groin aches. On one side, brought on by putting weight on one leg or if I walked down stairs (funnily enough fne walking upstairs) It was sharp enough to make me wince. But soon calmed down. I put it down to my ligaments stretching around my pelvis but who knows! It's gone now. I get on off cramps down below in uterus area. Normally when I have overdone it. I get stomach cramps too, but that is either due to gas or constipation! The wonders of pregnancy. I wouldn't worry, I think all these aches and pains are just a normal part of pregnancy and our bodies changing shape to accommodate the growing baby :)

Zampa · 28/12/2014 22:42

Skin wise, I highly recommend Eve Lom. Expensive but lasts forever and gives you a beautiful complexion.

StoneBaby · 29/12/2014 06:20

miss I get the groin pains too. They feel more like a pins and needles sensation iyswim.

Sink is not too bad, just a lot of black heads and greasy.

itsnot fx for today.

I'll also ask for a cs due to many issues with DS birth.

Leela5 · 29/12/2014 07:07

I get lots of groin cramps mw said it's uterus and ligaments stretching. I find them comforting as it shows my baby is growing.

Leela5 · 29/12/2014 07:08

I use dermologica and my skin is looking lovely - it can be greasy and spotty but it's been great since I got pregnant. I'm just fat!

Bustherb · 29/12/2014 08:20

I get pains in my vaginal area , it's more like stabbing pains. I only get them now and again. My skin is really dry, it's literally flaking off Hmm as is my scalp Hmm xxx

Number3cometome · 29/12/2014 09:03

Good luck today Deep

I am sure my nausea is worse when I am at work Confused

I felt pretty much ok yesterday minus the non stop eating but now feel rubbish at my desk? Maybe it's the train journey.

Thepurplegiraffe · 29/12/2014 09:07

It's the train journey that always gets me Number, hope it improves as the day goes on.

itsnotthatdeep · 29/12/2014 09:09

thanks girls im so nervous

Number3cometome · 29/12/2014 09:10

Thepurplegiraffe It's also the smell of people haha!!
Sometimes it makes me heave and once that heaving starts, it's hard to stop!!

Overtiredbackagain · 29/12/2014 09:18

Morning all, hope you all had a good Christmas and managed to get some much needed rest.

I am back to work today for two days the off again til Monday. 12 + 5 today and finally scan is approaching on Friday which I feel sick about.

Told DC before Christmas who are thrilled and excited. OH told his parents who are very happy and not surprised at all and my parents seem happy enough, although treading carefully with that one cod of exH, who doesn't know yet.

How is everyone feeling now?

Number3cometome · 29/12/2014 09:21

Over So glad telling the DC's and in-laws went well!

See after OH had nothing to worry about Grin

Fantastic news! I know you was worrying about it.

My scan is two weeks on Friday, seems ages away Hmm

OH is obsessed with my belly, keeps staring at me and saying "i'm going to be a Dad"

It's pretty cute at the moment

broodylicious · 29/12/2014 09:31

Know what you mean number - my scan is two weeks on Wednesday, feels like forever away!!

Sickness is back with a bang. Feel bloody awful.... Which I'm deliriously happy aboutGrin

Number3cometome · 29/12/2014 09:34

broodylicious

My sickness was last seen on Boxing day, nipples are well sore though.

Going gym today for the first time in a few weeks, that'll help haha

Overtiredbackagain · 29/12/2014 09:39

Number3 it's a massive relief! OH much more excited and relaxed about it all now. His dad called me when he found out, was lovely when he said "I'm going to be a grandad!" And has since offered to buy anything we need for baby, although we've graciously declined, OH has said he could contribute, but his dad is just setting out on his own again after splitting with oh mum and currently trying to buy a house. Sweet though.

Once I've had scan Friday and I know all ok, I'll be more relaxed, being 40 is terrifying Confused

Proper baby bump now too, am sure girls at work will notice x

Number3cometome · 29/12/2014 09:46

Ahh that's lovely!!

Just goes to show sometimes we worry over nothing.

I'm 34 in Feb but still feeling the difference from when I started having babies in 2003. seems like forever ago now!

misseskimo · 29/12/2014 10:23

Good luck to those with scans today! Got mine tomorrow.

Glad it's not just me with the groin etc. Pains! I expected stomach but not down there... Another naive first timer problem! Lol.

Atm my main issue is tiredness and sleeping. I get dizzy quite a bit too, but it's the tiredness that's doing me in. One minute I'm fine, next I'm exhausted. But I have really bad insomnia EVERY night! Am up till 2-3am even though I'm exhausted, then I'll get up between 5-7am for a little bit, then fall asleep again from about 8/9am sometimes for an hour, sometimes anything upto midday!! Shock if I try to force myself to stay awake, I get dizzy, nauseous and hot flushes! So I give in and let myself sleep. Trouble is, where I've been off work for a few weeks it's now turned into a pattern, and even trying an early night and forcing myself up early (and staying up) isn't helping. Normally in this situation I'd take a sleeping tablet for a few days to right my pattern, but obviously can't atm. Worried about having to go back to the office next week when I seem to have turned into a night owl Confused
