New thread because the last one was giving me "Sorry, this thread is too big to accept new messages".
Onilly - sorry, yes I am sure it's due date - see here - "the Regulations apply to women expecting their babies on or after 1 April 2007.... If an employee's 'expected week of child-birth' falls before 1 April 2007 the old rules will apply."

Morning All!

Jay... a new car.. I'd so like one! DH wanted to get one straight away! think he saw it as an excuse! But I htink while the LO's small we'll stick with what we have, luckily we both have 5 doors.

Cousin's wedding yesterday, which was a really nice day, even though it did rain ALLLLLL day. didn't seem to affect anyone's spirits.

It's my Birthday today and I think I'm being taken out for a lovely meal tonight by DH! If He's remembered, he always thinks its the 27th of the month!

Last night I felt so uncomfortable again, but feeling much better now! Thankfully! MS came to visit it again this morning! Taking me by surprise!

Got my scan on Friday. Still debating whether or not to find out the sex of bump!

Hope you're all well and dandy!

21+3 maybe!

Rosyspookily · 23/10/2006 11:29

happy birthday Amie. hope you have a lovely day and yummy dinner tonight.

kittythescarygoblin · 23/10/2006 12:17

happy, happy birthday amie

Jay, new cars are sooo exciting, I love the smell of them. I get really obsessed with scatches on the paint work, then you get the first few and it's so annoying. We're getting a traveliner at some point early next year. i'm looking forward to not having to squeeze us akk in, but i'm dreading having to park such a monster.

poor you Rosy, you must be exhausted. You need to get them to sleep throuhg. How about lots of calpol??

dd3 has got a burnt bottom from all the nasty acidic teething poos

divastrop · 23/10/2006 12:23

happy birthday amie-hope u get spoilt tonight!

hope all is well with the scan, jay.i had a few extra scans with dd2 due to my high bp and its so nice being able to see them again.

kitty-do u have to watch dd like a hawk now or is she still a little angel?my littledarling is just about trying to push up on her knees...she might crawl in a couple of months.

my headache is better today,im starting to think it may just have been cos im getting over a cold and still quite bunged up.
im waiting for the HA to phone about looking at the house..i am not a patient person atall and i hate being stuck indoors

19+5

RabidZombieAmie · 23/10/2006 12:41

Thanks for the well wishes!

Anyone know if its OK to eat goats cheese? I can't remember!

Am thinking if I'm going where I think I may be going they do alovely started but it involves goat's cheese.

Whoowhoobewhooooooh · 23/10/2006 12:43

Happy Birthday Amie!

Sorry you were sick this morning

You can have goats cheese as long as it's pasteurised. Get DH to call the restaurant to check. (It's your birthday after all).

21+1

kittythescarygoblin · 23/10/2006 12:45

That's funny Diva, I don't watch any of them like a hawk : o .
Infact I spend most of my time trying to be in another room from them!!!!
DD3 regularly climbs up to the top of the house completely unwatched.
Guess that makes me a slack mother!! None of them have had any awful preventable accidents though. Most of the house is given over to the monsters so.....
I prefer to take some risks and let them learn earlier, so far it has paid off. Only one trip to a&e in 8 years

Jaykillandhide · 23/10/2006 12:49

HAPPPPPPPY BURPDAY Amie goooooo onnnnnn find out the sex!! you know you want to becasue if you REALLY didnt want to youd have already made up your mind...hehehehe!

Well what a palarva... none of the three Post Offices had the form i needed so a complete waste of my time this morning, i wouldnt mind but they all were so un-helpful, they didnt seem know what i was talking about in one PO, and the other woman, when i asked her if they had the form, just point blank said 'NO' she didnt offer any other information and carried on with her 'filing' i said in a very loud voice, 'glad to see the customer service has improved in here...........' and marched out!!! So now DH has to go to the Main PO in town when he gets back in...sighhhhhhhh and fraustrated emotion!!!

Kitty, while the Freeranger isnt MASSIVE, its bigger than what i am used to so i am pooing my pants to about the parking to, am guessing though when i have done it once it will get easier!

Poor DD3 with her burnt bottom, thats what DD had (and is still slightly experiencing) for the last three weeks, but she has had all top four teeth pushing their way through at once. The first time i saw it i was so shocked as she didnt get any probs with bottom two teeth so i wasnt used to seeing it, I thought i had mistakenly feed her a red eye chilli or something....!!!

Right of for lunch, cheese salad roll followed by some left over apple pie and clotted cream, yummmy!

onillyboilsandbroomsticks · 23/10/2006 13:23

I am just dying of embarrassment. I got the dates for my scan mixed up. Its tomorrow... DH and I flew into hospital in usual mad rush red faced and late-ish TODAY (WTF???) to find out its for tommorrow.... awww. I feel like a loon.

My brain is just like a sieve lately, there is just so much going on. DH made some sarcastic comment to the receptionist "oh well, we cant be the first to do this" to which she looked at as blankly and gave us a wry smile as if to say...erm you have got to be kidding me.

I am a bad mum before I have even started ! How could I get my scan dates mixed?

DH howled with laughter all the way home, what an arse I am.

Oh well, Scan tomorrow, and I am definately finding out the sex.

Bathroom should be finished today, but the building work continues.... downstairs loo and hallway and lounge are all getting new floors and bits done to them. I guess I need to do this detaching thing..... Whooo how do you do it?

onillyboilsandbroomsticks · 23/10/2006 13:24

Happy Birthday Amie.

Rosyspookily · 23/10/2006 13:31

Onilly I arrived the wrong day at the hospital with my kids for allergy clinic. They were really really sweet and squeezed me in. Never mind at least its only tomorrow, not long to wait and your builders nearly done! Yay there's light at the end of your tunnel! Wonder what you're having (she mutters nosily)

My dh bought a vw sharan (not new and smelling lovely but that would be a waste with us stinkers.) Anyway, I can't park an ordinary car I'll never be able to park that beast. I haven't even driven it yet! (I'm a driving wimp.)

Whoowhoobewhooooooh · 23/10/2006 13:35

It's more of an aim than an actual achievement tbh onilly.

kittythescarygoblin · 23/10/2006 13:51

If it helps Onilly, I've gone to wrong hospital for a scan and as I have said recently regularly leave my children behind at places so I wouldn't give it a second more's thought. This is quite normal behaviour for a preg woman and it will carry on for a good many years to come

Rosyspookily · 23/10/2006 14:07

Actually Onilly you poor thing, your self image is due for a battering because you are used to being totally efficient I think! When I have a daft moment it doesn't give me an identity crisis because I'm always dizzy even when not pregnant. So I expect nothing more from myself!
Don't worry though, your true self will win in the end!

Kitty I'm all for ignoring the kids too. I'd ignore them more if I could Actually someone I knew trained her baby to sleep through by totally ignoring her and putting earplugs in her own ears. I couldn't do that in case the kid was in diffs. It does work with whining though. I stick two great big clumps of cotton wool in my ears and go 'lalala sorry can't hear you' (Parenting tips free to all hee hee)

LaidbackinaTransylvaniancoffin · 23/10/2006 14:20

Happy Birthday Amie ! Enjoy your goats cheese... yum my fave.

LOL at Onilly and your mixed up appointments....poor you. I think you're having a girl

Am defo coming back to Uk for birth. Found out today that they do all births in STIRRUPS. Noooooooo.

Kitty - is your house like the sound of music ? I have visions of your kids doing the "goodbye, farewell" song before bed.

Must go ...my DH has hurt his right ball whilst surfing and wants me to look at it !!

onillyboilsandbroomsticks · 23/10/2006 14:55

thanks guys

Rosy, how perceptive of you! I am quite an organised person.... until recently. DH is finding it hilarious and calling me soft in the head!
Team at work are finding it hilarious too, and probably like the change
Its driving me crazy - how many times I have been to Tesco's with a list in my head and walked out with the exact opposite. We have been out of teabags for weeks now!

Whoo, I like your aim.... worth working towards!
Likely to be a few poor murdered builders if not.

Laidback - balls - surfing ?

divastrop · 23/10/2006 14:58

lol laidback...ru going to have a good ,close look?

i was also dizzy long before i got pg,but i notice it more when i am pg.i turned up at totllly the wrong time for about 3 of my ante-natal check ups with dd2.i had actually written the wrong time on my calendar

kitty-how do u manage so few visits to a+e?mine have been a couple of times with injuries inflicted on each other, and ds2 went through a stage of eating things...i suspected him of eating a sim card when he was 11 months,he ate part of a nit comb and a light bulb between the ages of 1+2.but hes never fallen down the stairs or anything!
i am always trying to be in a different room to the older 3,i thought that made me a terrible mother

still waiting for the HA to ring.am going to scream

LaidbackinaTransylvaniancoffin · 23/10/2006 15:11

Diva - it is quite swollen. Have offerred to make a "doughnut" bandage , which is the only thing I remember from my 3 weeks membership of St Johns Amblance in the early 1980's.

Hope the HA hurries along...can you ring them and say " I've been out for a couple of hours.. I just wondered if you had phoned in my abscence"

Worth a try !

divastrop · 23/10/2006 15:31

just did that.they are waiting for somebody to turn the gas off, which should be done in the next couple of days....grrrrrrrr.....why couldnt they have rang me and told me seeing as they said they were defo ringing today.
i was in st.john ambulance for 3 years but i got thrown out for erm messing about too much.

kittythescarygoblin · 23/10/2006 15:43

Diva, what sort of messing about was it?
I got kicked out of the brownies for fighting!
A friend of mine got kicked out of ante natal classes for laughing all the time

Laidback-My house is not like the sound of music, it sounds more like a horror film, like something stephen king would dream up..
What balls are we talking about here?

I am trying to "air' the baby's poo burnt botty at the mo, trouble is she has the runs. The boys watch her leaking away and very casually say ' oh, Clara's been sick out of her bottom again"

Right better get back into the fray!

RabidZombieAmie · 23/10/2006 16:34

Sore, swollen Balls and leaking bottoms! we discuss such great things!

I got thrown out of the Guides when I was in control of the swallow patrol, for when we were on guide camp we escaped into the field at midnight and ran round naked, till the captain or whatever she was called, woke up and caught us.. I will always remember "GIRL OF WILKINS! GET HERE NOW! BUT PUT ON YOUR CLOTHES FIRST!"

I had to wear a balck ribbon for the rest of the week and if anyone asked what it was for I had to tell them, so I said I was liberating the swallow patrol! Letting them be at one with nature.

divastrop · 23/10/2006 17:12

there were various things..though my sister and her friends were always involved as well but the woman in charge always picked on me.we made pancakes with wine and self-raising flour one evening and another time we did a fun run to raise money and about 5 of us dressed as prostitutes....and drank a few cans of tennants super before we arrived.just little things like that

kittythescarygoblin · 23/10/2006 17:39

Normal stuff then Diva ?

evenhope · 23/10/2006 17:45

Decided to ring for my full amnio results today as I still hadn't heard. All fine and it's a girl. I'd been convinced it was a girl but as I expected my 3 boys to all be girls I was really surprised that I'm actually right. DS2 is chuffed because he's been asking for a baby sister for years (he'll have moved out before she's old enough to be interesting, he's 17 now). DD will be peeved. She thinks she should be the only princess When DH pointed out that she had actually left home so it shouldn't affect her she wailed "I didn't expect to be replaced".

Whoowhoobewhooooooh · 23/10/2006 17:51

Congratulations evenhope!

I'm eaten up with curiosity to find out what mine is. Have to wait until November 9th.
