New thread because the last one was giving me "Sorry, this thread is too big to accept new messages".
Onilly - sorry, yes I am sure it's due date - see here - "the Regulations apply to women expecting their babies on or after 1 April 2007.... If an employee's 'expected week of child-birth' falls before 1 April 2007 the old rules will apply."

OP posts:

hi all, what a week ! Have laughed out loud at the interception by some Witch lady earlier this week, good on you EvilAnnie - I like your assertiveness. Oh ladies, that was so funny.

I have had an awful week, I wont bore you, as I feel I have done recently re: crank calls and so on. But that is not completely resolved and we have the police on it, they think it's the person who put a brick through my car window a months or so ago and stole my bag (with filofax etc) Long story, so I will drop it now. It seems to have escalated and this is one sick dude. The police think he may be stalking me?

Complete with hell flight to and from Italy, hell work in Italy and hell builders I have managed to get really sick. However, the Boil, I am happy to report has erupted at last!
Any one got a suggestion for drugs to kill a cold other than paracetemol ?? Night Nurse definately a no-no?

I have felt incredibly stressed lately and have started getting sick again, which is crappy.

Hope you are all well, have skim read and have missed alot, will catch up.

I have my scan on Monday. I will def find out the sex. Cant wait.

Oh - and I think I felt a kick

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 19/10/2006 13:28

Diva

It might be worth going to see it anyway, to see if you like it etc. While you are there, you could knock on the door of the people the other side of the noisy house and ask them what its like to live there; if its a quiet street, if the neighbours are nice etc and see what they say?

When we moved last time, we knocked on a couple of houses and asked those questions. The house next door to us one side has 5 kids including lots of teenagers and I was a bit worried, but I think we make more noise than they do! You could get some good info and have a bit of a nose before you make your decision.

Good luck and let me know what you decide

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 19/10/2006 13:33

Onilly - you poor thing - what a lot of stress all going on at the same time

Hang on in there and please do come and have a moan here. We've all been worried about you, hope you're OK.

onillyboilsandbroomsticks · 19/10/2006 14:04

oh Fox, thanks a mill. I do feel all I do is moan to you all, and frankly that depresses me somewhat as I have always thought myself to be a positive soul!

Thats mainly why I have kept away for a while. You must be all have been so bored of my woes! However, even my mum said the other day that I had too much on my plate That's code for some kind of supporting remark !!
Are you off on holiday ? Morocco you said ?

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 19/10/2006 14:35

Onilly - I hate the world at the moment. Mainly 'cos of Tax Credit Vampires mucking up my entire life {angry}

Had a completely unreasonable rant on a thread the other night (yes, "that" thread) and upset a couple of people.

Please do rant/moan as I hate happy people at the moment. Am even convinced the hol to Morocco will all go pear shaped somehow, as I'm on such a bad run at the moment.

Feel like emigrating to Borneo or something...

In the words of Millwall's fans:

"^Nobody" likes me and I DON'T care!"

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 19/10/2006 14:37

...anyway I miss you when you're not here [creepy smile]

onillyboilsandbroomsticks · 19/10/2006 15:25

heh-heh. Fox you are a scream.

Morocco will be stunning, my SIL was there a month or two ago and she came back absolutely raving about the place. Her pics are truly stunning.

Would love a holiday right now so am very The most I get is a day trip to Cornwall to check on yet another group of hell builders !!
Oh well, at least I get a Cornish Pasty !!

Question the group - do you think three weeks to redo a small bathroom is reasonable ? Seems like they are taking the p*ss.... but then patience was never a virtue of mine!

Rosyspookily · 19/10/2006 15:41

Morocco I have been over doing it too and I got such strong braxton hicks and back ache that I thought if I don't stop I'm going to send myself into early labour!!
Now the house is all clean and tidy with guest room made up beautifully and guess what? Bil isn't coming now

What a palava! I want some visitors now so I can show off the tidy house! Might be a while before its like this again

Onilly haven't you noticed that we've all been moaning! Your problems aren't boring, though horrible, I hope the police manage to send your caller packing!

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 19/10/2006 16:10

...they should cut the Pest's goolies off! That'd teach him to harass our mates

divastrop · 19/10/2006 16:15

fox-the house is on the next street to me,my kids play with the girl from the karaoke house.she is only 5,i dont get how they can be that noisy?!think i need to investigate further.might get dd1 on the case, shes destined for a career in journalism as she thinks nothing of walking up to people and asking them about their personal business.

onilly-glad ur back.i never noticed you moaning.i see moaning as somebody talking in a negative way about everyday stuff, rather than recounting tales of woe and pregnancy problems

rosy-thats not fair,u will have to invitwe somebody round.have a dinner party or something.

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 19/10/2006 16:21

Diva - that sounds quite positive to me - you already virtually know the neighbours. Maybe the karaoke but was an exaggeration?? (HTF do I spell that word?)

Whoowhoobewhooooooh · 19/10/2006 17:38

Afternoon All.

Have spent the day cuddling my friend's gorgeous week-old baby girl. Can't wait for mine now.

Diva: I know that if the family have been reported to environmental health for noise the council have to disclose it, so maybe you could call them. If they have been reported, someone will already have kept a noise-diary, which should give you more of an idea. (We've had problems in the past when DH lived in a ground floor studio flat).

Onilly: horrible news about your stalker. Are you taking plenty of precautions when out on your own? You don't sound at all negative in your posts to me. (Good news about the bursting boil btw).

Hope everyone's feeling perky. I was sick at the hospital on Tuesday, and then 3 times at home yesterday. Not nice.

EDD 3/3
20+4

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 19/10/2006 18:16

Poor Whoo!!

Am going out with about 14 MN local thread girls tonight!

Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Rosyspookily · 19/10/2006 19:15

Diva -Maybe the people moving out are very quiet and couldn't cope with a noisy family, or maybe they were making up excuses to get rehoused? If you knew it wasn't going to be a problem it would be so exciting to get a bigger house now and without uprooting from your area. Good luck with the detective work!

Fox have a mad night you deserve lots of fun!

divastrop · 19/10/2006 19:49

fox-i think i will have to have a glass of wine and try and pretend im out.im sure i can remember what it was like if i try really hard.have fun

whoo-aw babies.

i had a phonecall off my friend before who said the woman whos moving out hadnt asked the neighbours to turn the music down as she didnt want to fall out with them.dp is being funny about it though and we've kind of fell out over the whole thing.if we take the house and there is a problem he will say its all my fault and we will end up falling out big style.im really upset now and dont know what to do.

sorry for moaning.

Rosyspookily · 19/10/2006 20:25

diva - moving house is one of the most stressfull things you can do. Does your Dp want to stay put then? Maybe let him take more of the stress on and look after things.
You want him on board with you. my last house, I went for it against dh's wishes and we were never happy there.
We moved to where we are now a few months ago as a joint decision, its still temperory but a much happier home.

divastrop · 19/10/2006 21:08

dp has been complaining about the lack of space for ages.its not just the amount of bedrooms but it is a very small house we are in full stop.i moved here when it was just me and the three older ones,of course there was plenty of room then.
i want to at least look at it

Rosyspookily · 19/10/2006 22:14

yeah Diva, maybe when your dp sees all the extra space he'll be more keen. I bit the head off my dh husband this evening. just cuz I'm sore from all that housework I'm not used to doing at the moment. I'm a grumpy cow! He's gone out to see his friends. GOOD!peace at last!

Jaykillandhide · 20/10/2006 09:29

mornng all, is it just me or is anyone else just so knackered........?

leoghostlygaela · 20/10/2006 10:43

Me Jay! Worse today as ds woke last night, dh brought him into bed with us and promptly fell asleep again, so i was left for 2 hours trying to calm an excited little boy who thought it was morning and had to try every trick to put him back to sleep! Dh ALWAYS does this!!!!! I've told him over and over again, I was so ! I NEED my sleep!

OK, rant over! I'm now going to meet him for lunch, then going shopping to buy some more clothes and a present for the neighbours who had their baby yesterday !

With the tired thing, its really NORMAL to be tired in pregnancy, its very important for your health and the health of the baby that you make sure you get enough sleep and rest.

Right, sorry for selfish rant, have to get ready to go!

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 20/10/2006 14:13

Leo - my DH does that too - trains the children so they know if they cry they can come in the bed .

Diva - hey why don't you ring up today and arrange to see that house!! Why not take DH like Rosy suggested and he might love it? Its a bit odd that the current tenant never even asked her neighbours to turn it down . They are probably unaware that she was even annoyed about it. It would be nice if you could meet the neighbours somehow, to suss them out, wouldn't it?

Went out with the gals last night, for a Turkish meal, which was fab. Already knew half of them but there were about 7 new people to meet, which was fun Even managed half a glass of red

Hey listen - I'm having a baby boy. We had our 20 week scan today and he was leaping about like an athlete!! Thought I might feel a twinge of dissapointment (had secret hopes for another pink and fluffy one) but just felt really happy. He looks ultra healthy and has a mega willy! [proud mother emoticon]

Will start making a long-list of boy names now

DS will be so pleased, he so much want a brother to discuss boy stuff with; you know Daleks and the like.

kittythescarygoblin · 20/10/2006 14:17

great news fatfox, you must be sooo excited

divastrop · 20/10/2006 15:08

fox, glad u had a good night out.congrats on the scan..they must have decent scanners down south as ive never been able to make out any body part on any of the scans i had.apart from a very obvious bum and fanjo when i had a scan at 36 weeks with dd2.

i made the mistake of putting ds1 into the bed with me when he was 2 weeks old.he was 4.5 before he stopped getting up in the night to get in bed with me.with the others id rather put them back to bed 100 times than put them in my bed.i think i did that with ds2 when he first went into a bedluckily dp and i have the same views on most parenting issues.

should be going to see the house on monday.

TheBlonde · 20/10/2006 15:15

Just skimmed the thread

Fox - congrats on your scan

hope everyone has got that Friday Feeling

I would be up for a London meet at some point - just let me know the plan

LaidbackinaTransylvaniancoffin · 20/10/2006 16:39

Hello from Sri Lanka

Arrived this morning. Bombing and shooting has stopped, so seems safe for the moment. DH and I have had lots of discussions about our long term plans and we have both agreed we won't stay here long term if it feels unsafe - it's just not fair or the kids or our families in the UK. This is the first time the tamil tigers have attacked the southern part of Sri Lanka so everyone's a bit shocked.

Well done on your scan fox. So most of us seem to be having boys on this thread so far ?? I still have loads of girls clothes left from my last pregnancy where I was told that the baby was a girl !! (don't know if you remember my burger vs. hotdog story at my 20 week scan courtesy of a russian sonographer )

Will have to accept that my house is likely to have that "boy" smell for several years to come. Its a heady mix of socks and bodily fluids if I remember correctly from having brothers. Nice.

Kitty/Piffle - hope that party plans are coming along well.

Woooboo - hope you have stopped being sick today. I was sick when I arrived here, but I think it was stress and tiredness above all.
