New thread because the last one was giving me "Sorry, this thread is too big to accept new messages".
Onilly - sorry, yes I am sure it's due date - see here - "the Regulations apply to women expecting their babies on or after 1 April 2007.... If an employee's 'expected week of child-birth' falls before 1 April 2007 the old rules will apply."

OP posts:

Fox - If I don't go back I'm up for a meet up - anywhere south east is fine. If I do go back to Sri Lanka I'll be returning to the UK at the end of Jan as have decided to come back for the birth . Maybe will be too weeble like then to traipse about - but based on previous experience will probably be running about until the the head is crowning !

RabidZombieAmie · 18/10/2006 11:25

Lunar - that sounds great by me! Can get to most places around the region very easily!

Just want my scan now so I can see something! LOL
I have 3 days of holiday left to take before end of Dec and I really want ot take them, but I need to get my work done for when I'm away next year.. gah!

Whoowhoobewhooooooh · 18/10/2006 11:29

Morning everyone. Just had a planning officer from the council come 'round to take photos of the place we want our extension to be. He was s'posed to come on Monday. I was still in my dressing-gown, and last night's washing-up was mouldering in the kitchen . Oh the shame. I should join the FLY threads.

Laidback: have you decided what you're going to do yet? How about the Sri-Lankan Embassy? Is there such a thing? Hope it all turns out to be a flash in the pan.

Fatfox: how does Waterloo sound? We could go to the Southbank: loads of places around there. Wimbledon's really easy from 'round here too, and about equidistant. I'm sure DollyP would be up for it. Anyone else?

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 18/10/2006 11:30

Fab - any ideas anyone?

We could meet at a venue where the kids could play maybe? As long as its easily accessible and has plenty of parking

Either a Sat/Sun or could do at the beginning of Christmas hols??

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 18/10/2006 11:31

OK, with or without Kids?

...over to you lot for a vote

kittythescarygoblin · 18/10/2006 11:32

I'm well uo for that fox, legistics a nightmare as always as i have to juggle the re housing of the monkeys. There are quite a bfew in Se london. That would be easier for me to do, unless you fancy coming down to sunny Brighton (not v. sunny at the mo though )

kittythescarygoblin · 18/10/2006 11:36

Also I am eating like greedy horse at the mo, I just can't stop. Eat a giant sandwich and am stiil hungry. I guess both baby and I are about to do some more expanding
Just worked my way through a lovelt fresh thai chicken sopu from waitrose, yum yum.
Talking of dr who laidback. Ds2 is 7 today and has got a voice changing cyberman helmet from his grandad. He wore it to scholl this morning and you should have seen the ever increasing band of boys dribbling open mouthed as the followed him around whilst he shouted " You are deleted" Dr is indeed v. popular with boys!!

Jaykillandhide · 18/10/2006 11:46

morning all, looks like i missed out on all the 'stuff' that was going on on here, have had a quick flip through it all but cant be bothered to make any comments, other than glad its all over and i missed it!!!

Laidback, thats horrid news hope its settled down by the time you get back. I used to live in NI and there was always something going on, bombing , shooting, terror alerts ect, so i know how it feels, you will prob find by the time you get back it wilh have subsided a bit, and look on the bright side ( if you can) at least it happened while you were here and not there!!

I am up for a meet up. I am in Nottingham, i think someone mentioned Leicester....???? By the looks of this thread though, perhaps it would have been easier for me to have stayed in Surrey, its only a 20 mins train ride to Waterloo!

Get well soon Aime, its horrid feeling so shite, but it shouldnt last too long. Keep warm and drink lots!

Thanks Leo, Harriette is a poppet, such a good girl really, am wondering if the lil brother will be the nightmare one now!

Hope everyone else is fine and dandy his Tuesday morn

RabidZombieAmie · 18/10/2006 11:50

Jay - I thought it was wednesday!

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 18/10/2006 11:53

Talking of Dandy - haven't heard from either Onilly or Nova for ages

Hope they're OK.'specially Onilly with her dodgy phonecalls (worried looking emoticon)

DS stuck a huge Dr Who poster of the wall last night - in the living room. Had to tactfully explain why it would look better in the bedroom

He REALLY wants one of those cybermen helmets!!!

Anyone know of one of those indoor play areas in the SE, easily accessible?

Like Snakes and Ladders in Syon Park (not necc suggesting there) like a huge wharehouse which caters for 0-12 year olds, with lots of seats where we could all splodge and have coffee/cake?

Or is it better without the kids?

TBH I'd quite like to meet everyone's kids too, but that's because I'm nosy

kittythescarygoblin · 18/10/2006 12:02

is it my computer or is it Mn? I can't load up 'last hour' topics apart from the ist 5 or so. can someone else have a go and report back, ta.

RabidZombieAmie · 18/10/2006 12:04

That's one of the things I'm really excited about! Going to one of those fun wharehouses things with my children! Funny isn't it? I guess I've just not grown up!

divastrop · 18/10/2006 12:05

kittythescarygoblin · 18/10/2006 12:07

I must say those smelly noisy wearhouses fill me with horror. The kids love them, but i find it so stressful. There are always revolting children in these places and my kids always end up in some sort of ruck ( bit like me really )

RabidZombieAmie · 18/10/2006 12:42

someone help! I'm looking at local estate agents websites..... I need some discipline!

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 18/10/2006 13:09

Kitty - those warehouse fill me with horror too; I always lose site of my monsters and get all panicky. Do you know anywhwere in the SE that's easy to get too? Perhaps near M25 or sarf London? Would love to do Brighton if it was summer but it might rain or something nasty like that!!

Aime - whats the best national estate agents site. I used to look on findaproperty.com but it has gone all crappy now. Sorry, I'm encouraging you now aren't I?

Piffle · 18/10/2006 13:12

Afternoon all.
Tired, rotten night, sore back, feel grotty.
So much to do, dd's birthday party Sunday, no hoover as we bought new one off internet and now that company has gone bust so GRRR hosue looking dead shabby, just what you need with 25 people AND your inlaws coming around.
Sod it I'm buying a cake not making one.
Anyway enough whinging, once again to self
I am THRILLEd to be pregnant and SPD is WORTH it.

Jaykillandhide · 18/10/2006 13:36

oh yeah, Wednesday.....!! preggie brain.......doh

piff, i am going to buy the fattest cake, shall i get them in???? just off shopping to ASDA.....

kittythescarygoblin · 18/10/2006 13:42

Piffle, ds2 is having his party on sunday too. Hope it doesn't rain.

fatfox, I am even more jelly-brained than usual due to onset of sickysquits I guess.
I suppose it has to be an indoor play pit from hell if we are going to bring the kids. I only know the ones round here I'm afraid.

we must be mad we're having it at our house
ummmm help

RabidZombieAmie · 18/10/2006 13:57

Fox - I think if you have a look at right move you may find a few options... and yes.. you're not helping!

Whoowhoobewhooooooh · 18/10/2006 14:07

Piffle: I remember that when we you got your BFP you were worried about getting HG again, and said you'd organised a cleaner just in case. Can you get someone 'round just as a one-off? Then you won't have to worry.

Well, after crowing about my lovely dress I was hiring for the wedding, the company called me this morning and said it'll take 2 weeks to order in, despite it saying on their website that they deliver next day. .

Tough life, innit? [poor, hard-done-by whoo not getting her designer dress spoiled madam emoticon]

kittythescarygoblin · 18/10/2006 14:22

These companies always stretch the truth. They proably have one item only that they could dispatch the next day,.
Either the baby is very wriggly today or it's my grumbling bowels. Family bugs are a pain. Dd2 came home from nursery, bright as a little button then without warning vomited her entire lunch back up over the kitchen floor, at least it was in the kitchen and not on carpet.
My car still smells of sick from where the baby vomited all over it yesterday. So soon I will be off to parents' evening looking like death and smelling of vomit. Come to think of it that's completely normal!!

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 18/10/2006 14:23

Piffle - ooh I just hate having kids parties at my house - get really stressed. Have to tidy beforehand, tidy after as well !!!

Always worry about not enough people turning up - or too many people turning up - aaargh! You'll be glad when its over.
