New thread because the last one was giving me "Sorry, this thread is too big to accept new messages".
Onilly - sorry, yes I am sure it's due date - see here - "the Regulations apply to women expecting their babies on or after 1 April 2007.... If an employee's 'expected week of child-birth' falls before 1 April 2007 the old rules will apply."

I don't need or want to stalk anyone thanks very much. For some reason a few of you seem to think that certain conversations on MN are private - guess what, you're wrong.

I am quite capable of scanning all the convos on this board at any given time thanks, it's called knowing how to use MN and the available options.

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 17/10/2006 22:45

[yawns emoticon]

kittythescarygoblin · 17/10/2006 23:10

But it's a very odd thing to want to do, that's my opinion of course and I am not calling you odd.
Do you ever take proper part in the conversations or just watch and throw in the odd comment when you see something that offends you?

Piffle · 17/10/2006 23:13

I know Samhainwitch well and because of this I know the kind of day she has had today.
she does post a lot about herself and recently was pulled apart and hassled by someone on a nasty thread.

SamhainWitch · 17/10/2006 23:13

I take part in conversations all the time, my name is all over this site (this is my October name).

Like I have already said, it became a habit when I was a moderator. I still follow the instincts of a moderator and intercede if I see something I think is wrong. I happened to see your comments, I found them insulting and out of line and I commented.

SamhainWitch · 17/10/2006 23:14

Thanks Piff.

I admit to getting edgy tonight. Long day, emotions raging.

evilanniedividedin2byalargeaxe · 17/10/2006 23:16

Good evening everyone. Can this stay as 'Due March 2007' and 'other stuff' stay elsewhere?? I am not dissing anyone's point of view, or right to look at, read and post on other threads but I come on this thread to avoid the argy bargy of the others that I choose not to look at.

Thanks all.

Piffle · 17/10/2006 23:28

Couldn't agree more

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 18/10/2006 08:32

Morning everyone

Baby was really jumping around this morning - think it was doing a head over heels in there!

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 18/10/2006 09:08

Morning Kitty

Where is everyone?

RabidZombieAmie · 18/10/2006 09:49

Morning Fox... I was lurking for a while, but was fearing the thread's safety for a while. Hope thats all sorted now.

Got such a sore throat this morning. so guzzling water and have taken a few paracetemols.. so I'm looking forward to plenty of trips to the toilet today!

Still can't help thinking that there is actually nothing going on in here pokes belly

LaidbackinaTransylvaniancoffin · 18/10/2006 09:49

Morning all. Hope everyone well. Disturbing news from Sri Lanka this morning . There has been bombing and shooting very close to where we are returning to tomorrow in Galle.

Not sure what to do about going back . Halfway through packing halfheartedly. All our stuff is out there . HELP !!

RabidZombieAmie · 18/10/2006 10:08

Laid back... that sounds horrendous. maybe check out the travel info section at the governments site to see what they are recommending. Sorry I can't help more. Thinking of you.

leoghostlygaela · 18/10/2006 10:09

Fox (aaagh, pregnant brain won't let me remember your pre-halloween name! !) - actually we are not 100% sure of the sex and deciding but because of what the doctor said I am convinced I know what it is, so now I think we should find out 100%, when we know it will be a secret from everyone except you lovely ladies !

If I could find twin ante-natal classes I would go - but in this village sized country it seems unlikely.
I also did yoga last time and found it really good, considering doing it again this time, they have classes down the road but they start at 9pm which is almost my bed time !

Hope you are feeling better Amie, best thing is to go to bed or veg out on the sofa and watch crap tv, that's what I plan to do once I've finished catching up on here !

Feeling better today (I think) and think I should go back to work tomorrow!

leoghostlygaela · 18/10/2006 10:16

Laidback, that's terrible. Do you know how serious it is?

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 18/10/2006 10:21

Laidback - that is really dreadful news - what a worry. Agree - try the foreign office site for most up to date news.

Amie - you poor thing - there are so many bugs around at the moment. I always use Lemsip Max (sounds butch ). That chat got very silly last night. Actually it cheered me up a bit, despite the dseperately sad subject matter - all those feisty women having a good old rant and bitch

leoghostlygaela · 18/10/2006 10:25

can you take lemsip max when pregnant???? I've got some, but avoiding taking because i'm pregnant.
I took some lemsip very early in the pregnancy (I guess before I knew) and, since there has to be a reason for it, some wierd part of my brain thinks it caused the twins !

Rosyspookily · 18/10/2006 10:28

Laidback that must be hard in your current condition, you want to feel settled and secure.

Being in NI we would have bombings and killings nearby in the past and from the outside it must have looked terrifying but to us it was home! Thinking of you!

I shouldn't be here, I need to be cleaning! bil coming so I've panicked myself into inertia
Take it easy everyone.Get those feet up!

leoghostlygaela · 18/10/2006 10:33

Oh Jay!!! I've just checked out your scan pictures, how wonderful!!!! I also had a sneaky look at pictures of Harriette, what a little sweetie!

kittythescarygoblin · 18/10/2006 10:36

Morning everyone

laidback, that doesn't sound good. yes the foreign office might be able to suggest what best to do at the moment.

I'm very glad this thread has gone back to feeling the safe protected place it has been before. it might not be private in it's an open forum sense, but it IS private in others ways and i do not want threads to cross over. That is wrong.

We've got a bug doing the rounds here a sicky squitty one, nice.

Leo I can't wait to find out what you're having, apart from them being babies, I mean Do you know if they are identical yet? Sorry if I asked that ages ago.

Where has onilly gone, hope she's ok.

leoghostlygaela · 18/10/2006 10:47

Kitty, yes identical! Aaagh, the pressure is on from all sides to find out what they are !
Well, they are mono-amniotic twins, 75% of which are girls!... however saying that I do tend to always do things a bit differently - MA twins themselves are very rare!

kittythescarygoblin · 18/10/2006 10:59

Leo,how very lovely and how very special, you are blessed

LunarSea · 18/10/2006 11:00

Laidback - the FCO advice for Sri Lanka is here if it helps.

Amie - I know that "nothings really happening" feeling. Doesn't help that I've never had any pg symptoms (just a couple of weeks of being tired in the evenings, but that could just be the effect of 6 months intensive work without a day off I suppose), and still don't have a bump or (amazing for me) even any weight gain to show for it.

Amie/Annie - shall we fix up a local March '07 meetup sometime then? Midway between Leamington/Warwick and Rugby gives us Stretton/Dunchurch/Princethorpe sort of area I suppose? Anyone else who's local(ish) welcome too of course - IIRC there's someone around Leicester way? In which case maybe we could do somewhere north side of Coventry?

OP posts:
foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 18/10/2006 11:17

Sickysquitty - sounds like me last weekend

oooh I want to do a meet up too . Anyone want to come over to mine sometime - Richmond, SW London?

Am I mad???

Was thinking where SE people could meet - any other ideas? I don;'t mind travelling with the kids etc.

Anyone up for it sometime?

LaidbackinaTransylvaniancoffin · 18/10/2006 11:20

Thanks everyone ! I telephoned the foreign office and they are being a bit non-committal . Rosy - I know what you mean about things looking terrifying from the outside. When we are IN Sri Lanka it seems safe - it seems worse as we are not there at the moment and therefore able to choose if we should go back or not !! (hope that makes sense !)

Fox - all my son said when I said we might not go back to SL tomorrow is - "GREAT I can buy some more Dr who cards". Grrr. They are like crack cocaine !

Kitty - hope your family has enough toilets to cope with squittiness !
