Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 17th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 33rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Dexter Lil?

RPopz · 10/12/2014 22:02

One of my cats is called Dexter Grin

OP posts:
lildottie · 10/12/2014 22:04

um. yes!

I have 4 siblings who share 2 first initials, plus 2 share 1st initial with their dad, and one of them also share second initial with him. post is a nightmare, and they end up getting called a mixture of 2names rather than their own name!

willywallace · 10/12/2014 22:04

I like it. It reminds me of Press Gang. shows my age

willywallace · 10/12/2014 22:07

Hahaha ok Lil maybe there is a point to that then. Although I can hardly think of any letters which don't have my actual name on them.

TheBooMonster · 10/12/2014 22:12

There is a little boy at tumble tots called Dexter, he's very sweet!

wil as a sufferer of post confusion, post is a pain, when I was living at home if the post didn't have miss / mr on then we'd have to guesstimate who it was addressed to, and even iff it did have miss sometimes dad would miss it and just open my mail any way >.> DH and his dad have the same two initials in opposite, and there were a few occasions when we were living with them where one or the other of them would sheepishly present the other with open mail. When it came to looking at names for bump the first thing we did was agree nothing beginning with A, C or S to avoid post issues.

DH is back on minecraft and won't stop talking shouting above the telly on skype. Have turned off the precious Greys Anatomy in rage :(Just hope he knows that he longer I go without TV shaped distraction the more likely I am to spend even more money on Bare Minerals make up...

willywallace · 10/12/2014 22:22

Ok ok I stand corrected about the post. Maybe I just don't get many letters. Also have a small family so less room for any confusion.

I don't get the appeal of Minecraft. Is the adult version different to the kid's one?

My friend has just had her baby. She looks so perfect and lovely. The baby that is - haven't received a post-labour photo of friend!

RPopz · 10/12/2014 22:22

Never thought about the post thing! DH is obsessed with initials and what they spell out...

OP posts:
willywallace · 10/12/2014 22:26

Does he want them to spell out something or is trying to avoid it? Actually I remember trying to make our initials into words at school so I suppose it would be bad form to be called Thomas Walter Anthony Templeton or similar.

RPopz · 10/12/2014 22:29

Lol... He doesn't want them to spell anything out, in case of school related teasing.

OP posts:
lildottie · 10/12/2014 22:39

dhs first initial is same as my middle initial so that can cause post confusion if glancing quickly too! generally he doesn't open mail until I throw it at him this so it's usually me opening his

Minion · 11/12/2014 05:36

Morning.
Still here.
Still pregnant.
Dad's funeral today. Not looking forward to that, just hope I can keep it together. I'm obsessed with the initial things too. I refuse any names where kids can make up nicknames with either their first, second or initials.
Kids can be well cruel!
Those in fb know my real name, I've had 32 years of a certain song being sung at me. Doesn't help at weddings where is a playlist staple!

So, I'm supposed to be reading a bit today, husband doesn't want me to cause of the stress but I feel I should, would anyone else?

Dad would do it for me, I'd like to repay the favour.
Ooosh, babies just had a massive shift!

Thought something was going on last night, felt so sick it was untrue.. Thought, Woohoo this is it.
Nope
Nada
Nothing

I'm not impatient... Yet!

willywallace · 11/12/2014 06:27

Ooh totally guessing your name now Min. Think I might know.

Really hope today goes well for you. The reading thing is totally up to you. I couldn't do it at my Dad's funeral but my sister did as she's much better at that kind of thing than I am. I was glad she was able to. I think if you're up to it you'll probably feel pleased you did it afterwards. Fx Minmin stays put for today. Thanks

Well it's definitely winter out there. Not looking forward to this morning's commute.

ZylaB · 11/12/2014 07:00

min hope today goes as well as it can for you! If you feel you want to do a reading, cos that feels right for you and feels like what you should do, then do it for your dad big hugs

ChatEnOeuf · 11/12/2014 07:05

Min you should do it if you feel you want to - he was your dad.

DH doesn't want initials that spell out something, nor does he wan't a name that is gender-ambiguous, so no Sam for a boy incase people think it's Samantha Sad

laurenamium · 11/12/2014 07:17

I like the name dexter Smile

Min thinking of you today! Definitely do a reading if that's what you want to do! Thanks

laurenamium · 11/12/2014 07:19

Min I wouldn't have thought that with your name! I thought how beautiful it was when I saw it though. It's the kind of name I would choose for a DD without thinking of the consequence!

Leela5 · 11/12/2014 08:16

I love your name min! I hope today goes as well as it can do, will be thinking of you

My friends Ds is called dexter, it suits him :)

I know someone whose dd is called Nevada.

On train to London for meeting. Strong smell of foostiness

Pisghetti · 11/12/2014 08:21

Hope today goes as well as it can Min - glad no early arrivals have meant you might miss it. As awful as it must be, once today is over you can focus on MiniMin's arrival without any worries about timing.

And what do kids know? I think Agadoo is a beautiful name.

DS' initials could put people in mind of a certain cigarette brand. I did notice it when we decided the name, but wasn't concerned too much. In fact no one noticed until DP a couple of months ago

willywallace · 11/12/2014 08:30

Ha don't ever think I've met a male Sam and assumed he was called Samantha Grin

MrWil only likes really popular names. I have a more unusual name (not weird) and like that I was the only one growing up. Hence why we can't agree.

Leela5 · 11/12/2014 08:37

Too right pis - Tropicana is a beautiful name.

We also have problem of initials spelling out something, particularly as any daughter we have will have Anne as middle name

lildottie · 11/12/2014 08:44

min I hope today goes well and is what you want as your goodbye to your dad. I think only you can decide about the reading, I am the kind of person that would definitely want to do it but like wil said it's not for everyone and that's absolutely fine too. hope minimin stays put today for you.

I also wouldn't have thought of that song from your name, second that it's a lovely name. your all making me want to start looking at names again! must refrain!

minimooo · 11/12/2014 08:58

Hope all goes as well as it can today, min. I'll be thinking of you Flowers

la we'll have Anne as a middle name too. Dh's Aunty Anne sadly passed away earlier this year, and then I got my bfp the next day. It seemed fitting that the name be carried forward by our lo, so we always new that if it was a girl we'd have Anne as a middle name.

I've woken up with a cold this morning, urgh.

Leela5 · 11/12/2014 09:05

:) mini it's my mums name

RPopz · 11/12/2014 09:34

Hope it goes as well as these things can today min. I think you'll be pleased you did the reading in the end, if you feel up to it Smile Thanks

DH has the same initials as Winnie The Pooh... as he often tells me. I wonder if this is where his obsession with initials began...
