Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 17th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 33rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

*graduated grads that is

ZylaB · 10/12/2014 15:19

Oh shit, there's only 3 regulars to the thread who are due before me....

runs off in a panic

Leela5 · 10/12/2014 15:32

I've never seen auberginefrog on here! Has she ever posted?

Red has to stay on the list for milestone factor - we love you Red!

DrFunke is on the facebook page

Leela5 · 10/12/2014 15:47

I really wish I knew if my scan is before Christmas or not. We are going to book private scan if not, so I can announce at Christmas.

ChatEnOeuf · 10/12/2014 15:55

My EDD was moved to 23rd at scan, statto :)

Not sure I've seem AubergineFrog either. Has anyone seen/heard from Widdly? Not seen her post for a few days. Hope all is ok.

So FB/the world know I'm knocked up - only one of my friends seemed genuinely shocked, and most had been biting their tongues waiting to ask when the second was arriving!

Last time around, it was about 16w when I started feeling human again. My boss commented on the energy with which I answered 'Yes!' to her 'cuppa?'...apparently I'd been a tad grouchy at times until then Grin

Leela5 · 10/12/2014 16:03

I'm feeling a bit crap and worried today. I just wish I had a time machine to see how it all pans out

freshstart4us · 10/12/2014 16:07

Ah thanks chat lauren and tee and zyla, I'm sure you glowed. And if you didn't, you certainly will be by the end of March anyway - regardless of any long-haul-worthy bags that might take up residence under your eyes! Xmas Smile

freshstart4us · 10/12/2014 16:32

la the worry is THE most normal of all the normal weird shit that happens in pg. But no no no it does not cease upon giving birth - then it just morphs into worrying about them OUTSIDE your body, where you are in much less control. Welcome to motherhood! Xmas Wink

Oh and my EDD also moved on scan, now apparently 9 June. Xmas Smile

RPopz · 10/12/2014 16:40

Hugs La Think how poorly you felt yesterday and go look at your little bean pic. You'll get there xx

Aubergine joined and then disappeared and reappeared again a while back. Not heard from her lately. Was also wondering about wiggly after seeing her post on the pinned fb Fred. Hope you're ok ladies!

Was it nice to go public chat? Smile

Calli hasn't been around for a while either.
Hope everyone's ok.

Pisghetti · 10/12/2014 17:25

Nice one La - yes we did find out. I'm having a girl!

Zyla I'm staying zen till you pop - then I'll freak out Grin

ChatEnOeuf · 10/12/2014 17:59

It really was, Popz! I'd forgotten how nice a big bit of news is - brings friends you've not spoken to for ages out of the woodwork and gets you talking again, just like time hasn't passed :)

La, feeling crap is on the list of first trimester symptoms, and it definitely doesn't end at delivery - DD fell off something at soft play today, such a terrible feeling seeing her let go, knowing what was going to happen but powerless to stop it. Thankfully she's fine, just a dent in her confidence. Give them a call maybe at the end of the week, under the auspices of arranging shifts at work and needing to give notice or something. Gives you time to book something private if needs. Knowing the NHS, you'll be first week of Jan, at 13w or so...but they may surprise me!

willywallace · 10/12/2014 19:09

Yeah I'm trying to stay calm until after popz pops Hmm but it's starting to get to me.

Boo I also had back labour but have never had braxton hicks like that. Maybe you need more than just the dip test?

Can't believe you've bagsied Jobby La. I'm going to go for Bawbag in that case, or maybe Boaby.

Leela5 · 10/12/2014 19:43

Oh no! I didn't mean to panic you all with stats, it was meant to be exciting :( so sorry.

You'll be fine! It's scary but you'll be fine xx

DulcetMoans · 10/12/2014 20:13

Cheers for the list la, April is popular! What was going on 9 months before then?! We might have a bit of a lull in Feb - hope red comes in to update us!

Another person feeling shit here. But coping. Had lucozade today because I am so easily swayed! Not been ill yet, just waiting but problem is I now want MORE!

Got called back by midwife. She has agreed to put my scan card in whilst waiting for booking in appointment so should just be waiting for a letter on that now. Then a call from my assigned midwife (not the one on the phone) to arrange booking in.

Yay for telling everyone chat! Now you can be grumpy or ill and not worry about people wondering why.

laurenamium · 10/12/2014 20:22

Bawbag Grin I'm feeling irrationally emotional. Trying not to take it out on DP...ill either snap or cry. Or maybe snap then cry, for no reason at all Hmm

laurenamium · 10/12/2014 20:24

He's just brought me love heart shaped cheese on toast...he's safe for now Grin

ZylaB · 10/12/2014 20:52

Who's using Balonz? Grin

RPopz · 10/12/2014 21:01

Well we are stuck for boy names Zyla ... Wink

Friend at work is pregnant and was saying she wouldn't give her kid a stupid name like bookcase and girl a couple desks down said 'my sons called Diesel!'. Cringe face!

RPopz · 10/12/2014 21:09

Diesel!? That's a rottweilers name!

OP posts:
lildottie · 10/12/2014 21:36

Evening all.
Names are funny things aren't they! I knew someone that called their child a name that would be associated with a fictional serial killer - it grew on people and got less weird over time.

Leela5 · 10/12/2014 21:46

I think once a child starts to develop people forget whatever previous association the name has

willywallace · 10/12/2014 21:49

Haha people get really annoyed by other people's name choices. My friend once told me it was cruel to give a child a name with a spelling which they couldn't sound out phonetically in English. Because they wouldn't be able to learn how to spell it. Which rules out at least half of all Scottish and Irish names. Never mind that that's not actually how people learn to spell their name.

On mumsnet people are obsessed with post. "You can't have children with the same initial! How will you know whose post is whose?!" Ehm, think you'd probably manage to figure it out. Hardly a life crisis.

I love the things people find to get annoyed about.
